Caribo Cozumel is my go-to hotel on the island. Very clean accommodations, clean amenities, excellent service, excellent staff. Location of hotel is close to good restaurants, grocery stores, and shopping. The hotel's community kitchen received a wonderful upgrade helping make meal preparation there very nice. I already booked my next stay at Caribo Cozumel.

Very good

The property itself is great. The area around it has limited dining options and heavy traffic/traffic noise. The noise dies down about 10PM and doesn't start up again until 6:30 AM. Very helpful and friendly staff. Good value.

* Staff is friendly and accomodating.
* Check In experience is efficient with pre-arrival contact and information about the room and hotel.
* Facilities are under construction and there is debris and materials in the entrance.
* A/C is an issue, especially regarding power outages at night.
* Overall, a good option within a walkable distance from pier.

a lot of work is being done at the property although it does not get in the way of a comfortable stay Inernet is good. Coffee in the kitchen is made early in the morning. The ownership is a nice person.
Only drawback is if you book you might get a shared bathroom. Other rooms are private and nicely renovated.

ok stay for price. Bit of a walk to water. Staff really nice. Shared bathroom which is not ideal for me. Internet is weak. You get what you pay for. I approached the hotel to stay another night. They quoted me about 35% more than the web price. So, I went with the web price. They made me change rooms which required me to check out, store my bag and come back to a different room. I should have just left but was lazy. I rebooked on the web but will be leaving.

The host is very sweet and accommodating! We had suit 13 in from of the pool and it was the absolute best. The room was excellent enough for myself and travel buddy. The market is a 10 min walking distance. Just all around beautiful and I will definitely be returning.

I’ve stayed here many times, and I can say without a doubt, this is one of the best boutique hotels on the island. From the location to the decor, you can’t go wrong with this one.

So this is my second year staying at this cute boutique hotel, and I love it. From the service to the decor, you can’t beat Cribo Cozumel. Moreover, the location is an authentic slice of the real Cozumel, with many local restaurants nearby. Now, when I say restaurants, I’m not talking about the kind you’ll find on the cruise ship strip, I’m talking about where the locals eat.
As for the hotel, it has a charming hotel and a staff that will arrange all your Cozumel needs. The pool is also very relaxing, conjuring visions of a secluded grotto.
Finally, if you need a taste of the tourist action, all you have to do is just walk four blocks to the plaza, and you’ll be in frozen margarita Heaven; however, along the way you just might discover some great breweries and cevicherias that are sure to impress

Everything was great. I would like to return some day.
Few suggestions for the rooms to have dark curtains the sun gets to the room and if you want to sleep more the sun hit rhe windows, have a small lamp, and 📺 TV.

So I stayed here for a month about a year ago, and the property is still one of the better hotels in the area. It is charming, with a fantastic staff.

We booked a room at this guesthouse for 11 nights at the end of May 2024. The WiFi was terrible everywhere on the property. About 5 days into our trip the concierge, Cecelia, was very rude to us and we did not feel comfortable or welcome there anymore. Unfortunately we did not have the money to move to a different hotel, so we stuck it out. The pool and garden are cute. The woman who owns the place and the cleaning crew are very nice. The 8 block walk from the Square got to be a bit much some days in the heat. It’s on a very busy corner, Juaraz and Avenida 40. It can be a bit noisy with the traffic. But we did enjoy sitting on the benches outside the gate to people watch.

The place is great! Good kitchen and pool. It’s a quiet and very pretty habitacion. Staff really helpful and nice. Check-in infos on point. Superior Double Room, 2 Twin Beds is big great for one or 2, even for 3 friends with the hammock in the room (I don’t know if they allow) Great bathroom. Mini-mini fridge. Stayed 4 nights. In the moment, probably short, wake up at 8:45 after small maintenance/paint starts on the other side of the wall (28/04/2024). 15 min walk to the sea. Bike rental on spot 200pesos 9to6. Water to refill bottle 5pesos. All around many restaurants and street food, big market 2 blocks open late. Would definitely come again.

This place was absolutely fantastic. Quiet, safe, clean, and relaxing. About a 10min walk to the center and ocean. Everything was beyond compare. Delightful small hotel less than 10 minute walk from ferry and $7 taxi to airport. Lovely places to sit at tables on multiple levels. Nicely laid out for privacy. Code at from door so the entire hotel feels like your own place, sharing with a few friends. The women who keep the place tidy are kind, friendly and caring. Super little cool off pool. Kitchen is well stocked. Large bottle dispenser in kitchen. I was upgraded to nicer room, which was awesome since I stayed over a week to dive. Lots of bakeries, grocery stores and places to eat close by. Enjoy!

Travel can be hard on the world, so it's a relief when a hotel understands the importance of low-environmental impact/high-insight stays in foreign countries. Besides being a fantastic budget find, Caribo Cozumel claimed sustainability cred with us, offering a water garafuno for guests, a shared cooking space, a sweet courtyard & small water pool where guests could gather, & affordable bicycle rental for those who wanted to tour the island sans gasoline. Moreover, the hotel sits just on the edge of the tourist district, integrated as a friendly member of its neighborhood (across the street: a school). Rooms were tidy, simple, & fun--one evening we lounged in the hammock provided--& found our stay altogether pleasant during our brief time on Cozumel. I eagerly recommend this hotel to travelers who seek a high-value, low-impact vacation in a remarkably beautiful & unique ecosystem.

We stayed for 3 weeks. We were family and friends in different room. All of them with different size and amenities. But most important is we slept well, hot water, good AC. We loved the share kitchen and area to eat. The gym was in front of the street, restaurant just everywhere and grocery at walking distance. I will definitely rent again at this place because I loved the location and I adored the staff!!! Really Celeste and the cleaning ladies they were so very nice. I recommend

I have never stayed at a hostel style property before where there are shared spaces like the kitchen and common areas….but now having stayed here I prefer the hostel style of living over a hotel

Great little clean hotel within walking distance of the ferry and lots of restaurants. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is on a very busy and loud road. Maybe my room was just closer to the road but the noise from traffic starts early in the morning (6.30am) and it’s impossible to sleep in. The other guests (particularly a family with kids) were also loud in the small hallways.
The hotel asks for donations if you refill the water, drink the 7am coffee and you have to pay $3 for a towel. Given that they save money by not having a front desk, you would think they could give every guest 1 towel and charge for any additional towels. I paid $60 a night and the experience was basic.
Checkout is 11am - a cleaning lady knocked on my door at 10.20am and proceeded to enter, pull open the curtains and start stripping the bed. Luckily I was packed so I grabbed my stuff and left but I didn’t really appreciate it. I felt rushed and like I was being kicked out. Apparently the cleaning lady thought I was leaving……can she see through doors? Why is she knocking on room doors 40 mins early? The room was clean and the AC was good. The bathrooms in the window face to the hallway and people walk by when you are in the bathroom which was weird. I felt exposed!
I would not stay here again.

I had a wonderful stay of 10 nights. Great service from Jorge, Celeste, Lipan, and Carmen. They made me feel very welcome. I really enjoyed the shared kitchen, which allowed me to cook myself breakfast early in the day. Many good restaurants in the area.

It's a little far from the ferry terminal. Concierge will make it better. Local restaurants are also nearby, allowing you to experience the life of ordinary people. ”
