Not clean and bugs on bed

Chose location to be close to venue. Bedding was dirty on one bed to start. Staff was morning than willing to exchange for clean ones. Kitchen was not very clean. No television except in commo area was disappointing. WIFI well. Parking was free.

It’s under construction right now … room key didn’t work, blinds in one room didn’t close properly and the bathroom REALLY needed a good cleaning. Doors should have a deadbolt lock but they don’t. Guy at the front desk was very nice. It’s a college dorm NOT a hotel so keep your expectations low

This is a great value !

Too much noise in the building and the room is disgusting

there was garbage all around the front and parking lot. The windows are gone covered with wood and tarp. The rooms are dirty let me correct that very dirty. TV in both rooms but you can not use them. No phone in room to even call the front desk. Guest party in the hallway2-3 am. The only good thing the young girl at the front desk was very pleasant.

Have stayed at other College dorm accommodations in the summer and have had positive experience- not so with this one. Staff was not helpful and unable to answer basic questions. Room was very very old, wallpaper peeling off walls and walls dirty. Blinds missing slats so sun streaming in at 6 am. Small tv with no channels. Locking mechanism on door did not work. Beds very worn. No window trims under renovation. 2 towels provided very tiny and felt like sandpaper in skin. Overall very disappointing

Overall it is good. The only disappointment is the problem related to the shower water temperature and the shower stall is a bit too old.

Super close to the highway and very cheap.

There was nothing the we liked about our stay here. We found both the checkin and checkout people to be very rude and couldn’t careless. The room was not clean but because of the reception we received upon checkin, we didn’t bother to say anything. Although there were TVs in the room neither of them worked and when I asked I was told I needed a computer. Since when is a computer needed to watch Tv? There were other things.Very very rude people. I will never stay there again

Great option for us passport workers with our clients a great place for a good cost. Saved us a lot on our trip to Toronto and stayed on our way back to timmins. This is affordable

Everything great and just problem no tea or coffee machine.

Decently clean, although in desperate need of redecoration and new bedding/towels.

Other then location to hospital there wasn't really much to brag about. 2 old beds springs dig into your ribs. Bathroom door knob broken and locks en you close it. Finally fell asleep for a nap after a sleepless night only to be frightened from my bed and deep sleep by a lock down telling me to be prepared to defend myself. Im assuming it was a drill but a heads up as a guest would have been nice. If you want to be close to hospital this place is great, but I can't really say anything else uncomfortable, cold, dirty.

Fare price , Good for one or two night. Easily 4 people can fit in.

Comfortable pillows. Beds don’t have proper mattress cover so the sheet just pulls off. Good AC. Nice to have full sized fridge. Rooms are run down with peeling wallpaper, sad shower and base cover. Good price for a cheap stay.

Super idea, great use of seasonal college residence. Units were stocked with the basics of any hotel, yet provided two private bedrooms as opposed to the standard 2 beds of a hotel room. Loved the full size fridge in the kitchenette.
Downside, no kettle or coffee maker, TVs did not have remotes for the service provider (Shaw in this case). Free WIFI saved the day with a cable hookup from laptop to TV. Would definitely stay here again.

I got the room for my sister and nephew. They ended up leaving almost as soon as they got in the room. There are tvs in both bedrooms but neither worked at all. They just went back home that night.

When you arrange to stay at the cheapest accommodations in the town, you’re expectations are low. BUT, in this case the room and staff overly exceeding my expectations! Room was very clean, bed was very comfortable and I was able to sleep very comfortably!

The property is absolutely stunning, and the campus is well kept and run with security 24/7 so you don’t have to worry about your safety on site. The room… was rather dingy. There was mud and dust caked in the corners, the towels had some stains, the bedding was old and outdated and scratchy. If you’re looking for somewhere affordable with a kitchenette though it does the trick! I recommend bringing your own blanket, and something to stream to your TV as well as there is wifi but no cable.

Great place to stay. Quieter than most hotels, and reasonably clean. The place is a student residence so its a bit beat up but having two doors to the hallway instead of one really cuts down noise compared to other hotels.
Some of the beds are really creaky but at least you have two to choose from.

They only have two handicap spots I was there two days and was tagged both days displayed my permit in my windshield as required but made no difference The upside is they are taking care of the tickets Other wise everything was as expected!!

The beds are very hard, & there is no tv service

Two separate bedrooms, kitchen with fridge/freezer and sink are great. Rooms need an upgrade (ie wall paper)

The only thing I would change is sprucing up the rooms with a bit of a new paint job. Staff was friendly and helpful and great value for the price.

This was convenient for an overnight sleep. Beware that when you check in LATE there is parking that says visitor parking and if you are only staying from midnight to 6am you figure thats ok seeing as there is no time limit. At 6am find a $30 parking ticket and down the row there was a machine, but not lit up at night and sign did not say 2 hour parking limit. Very unfair!!

No stove in in the room. Shared stove too smelly,no tv. Paper thin towels. Couch too old. Too noisy. Not easy access to handicap... parking

Room reeked of cigarettes. Requested a change of room or refund and neither happened. Car alarms going off all night.

WOW! What a great place to stay. Very economical. Very efficient. I wish my residence room had been that spacious and equppied.( 1970s had to share kitchen fridge, microwave, kitchen space, bathrooms and common area with 30 other students). Would gladly stay again next time we are in area. Thank you

Residence & Conference Centre in Barrie offers a budget-friendly option with separate rooms, a fridge, and a sink, making it a practical choice for those looking to save on accommodation costs. While it may not offer the luxury and amenities of high-end hotels, it serves its purpose for a short stay. However, management should prioritize better cleaning practices and consider investing in some basic renovations to improve the overall appeal and satisfaction of their guests. Peeling wallpaper and chipped trims can give an impression of neglect, which affects the overall aesthetics of the room. Investing in simple cosmetic improvements could elevate the ambiance of the accommodation. If you're looking for a no-frills option and are willing to overlook some flaws, this place might suit your needs.

We loved the large rooms with attached kitchen. The price was also very good. The beds were however the worst that we have ever experienced in any hotel in our lifetime!

Good location, close to main hwy and affordable..

Maintenance was poor. Wall paper peeling off of the walls. Shelving require maintenance, put together with clips and wire. Windows dirty, have not been cleaned for some time.
The bed mattress needed to be replaced. Got a better rest sleeping on the floor.
Good point. staff were polite and friendly

It was ckean and quiet.

The beds are a little uncomfortable but overall a really good place for the price and a 5 minute walk to Royal Victoria Hospital.

Took twenty minutes to check in cause only one employee working entire building…but she was very nice. At least install smart tvs since there is no cable

Good location, friendly staff and lots of parking.
No tv or basic cable which sucks especially when it’s raining all day. Common room is available but I don’t want to hang around strangers would have preferred to just be able to watch tv in my room.
