Had a nice stay and used as a base for walking a couple of the SWCP sections. One thing to look out for is that room servicing is on requeat. We didnt realise until the day we left. Our own fault it was mentioned some way down the room blurb. The hotel is very conveniently placed for access to Lynmouth and there are great bus services from the nearby carpark.

The Bath Hotel is definitely recommended. In the heart of Lynmouth, it provides a delicious breakfast with plenty of choice. Our room was comfortable and clean, overlooking the river mouth and sea.
4.3
We booked for a 2-day short break in Lynmouth.
First impressions were low due to dark decor and lighting in lounges, dining and at reception but this was the venue 'style'. However, and despite the climbe to the top of the building, the hotel was great.
Breakfast was excellent.

The property is in a great location, central, on the ocean.
The only problem was I had a parking space with my Suite but it was always taken by someone else and they couldn’t do anything about it. Better signage and consequence would be better for offenders.
4.3
I was a little perturbed that there was no onsite parking but the hotel gave me a complimentary carpark ticket for the duration of our stay which was valid for all council carparks in the area and this worked out well.

The hotel waa perfect, very good value for money good food friendly staff

Poor service, noisy - strange in peak season.

Great location & helpful staff. Our "Artist" suite was spacious, comfortable and had a balcony with table & chairs overlooking the harbour.

Lovely room and comfortable accommodation, central to Lynmouth with lovely restaurant on site.
Would recommend and hope to return soon 😁

This is a fantastic hotel. Lots of charm and character. We stayed in a room overlooking the sea, which is always a bonus. The room itself was great, with stunning décor and furnishings. Loved it.

The communal areas suggest it's a bit fusty, but the room we stayed in was lovely (Aviary). Staff were excellent, as was breakfast. We didn't eat in the evening so can't comment. It wasn't so much of a restaurant as a bar with dining (but there's not much choice in Lynmouth, so eating here may be the best option apart from fish and chips from the Esplanade). We were fortunate to arrive out of season because it meant we were able to use allocated parking bays usually reserved for people staying in suites. However, it was the first we knew that parking for other room types was not available, so beware. There's not much in Lynmouth apart from spectacular views, so unless you're on a walking holiday, you might want to stay just the night, as we did.

This is a great place to stay if you're considering exploring Exmoor and the North Devon coast. There are numerous walks along the coastal path or inland following the river. Very helpful staff and a very relaxed atmosphere.

Absolutely amazing stay. All the staff where so friendly and welcoming. When we arrived there where two Karen’s shouting at the female staff member and she handled it beautifully. Would highly recommend getting a sea view suite if you can. Would definitely come back again.

Room did seem a little small when we first arrived but was actually fine for our 3 night stay. So nice to have free access to bottles of chilled fresh milk and water for use in the rooms, along with a selection of other room essentials. Loved the unique and slightly bohemian décor throughout the hotel. The staff were friendly, very helpful and did their best to accommodate any requests. The Dinner menu was fine but would benefit from a little more variety in the dishes. Maybe more salad options for the summer months, a risotto dish or Kedgeree which could double up as a breakfast option, Smoked haddock with horseradish sauce and a few leaves as a starter or add some new potatoes and a slightly larger serving for a main course. Charlie Fridays café in Lynton has some interesting dishes. All the food was well cooked, portion sizes were quite substantial and good value for money. Overall a very enjoyable short break, in a lovely location would definitely come back again and would recommend to family and friends.

The rooms were clean towels bed sheets very clean staff friendly helpful
The food was good but a better verity
On the menus would have been much better a bit monotonous the same every day so we opted to eat out .

The hotel is very nice, close to the harbour and cery well decorated. Room was clean and tastefully decorated also. Our only issue was that it took 1 hour and 15 mins for our breakfast to be served from ordering. This delayed our day out considerably. We were told that it was down to only having one chef and having over 30 covers to cater for. Saying that the breakfast was very good, freshly cooked and tastes excellent.

We had a lovely 4 day stay at the Bath Hotel. The staff were incredible, and the service first class. Lynmouth is a nice town to stay in, and conveniently placed for visiting North Devon.
4.3
The hotel is a 4 stars hotel. We received a tiny box room that you could not move around. It was so small that there is no space for a chair. No facilities to put toothbrushes. We complained and moved to another slightly bigger box room again without facilities in the bathroom. We have never been sleeping in a box room!!!
The staff were very nice and professional.

Great location right in Lynmouth, room and sea view too

Well maintained hotel in the centre of Lynmouth. Very friendly and helpful staff. We stayed in the Railway Room - comfortable with sea/river view.
We booked knowing we would be restricted because of the pandemic and anticipating that this, and the weather, would limit what we could do.
The hotel have taken lots of steps to ensure safety advice is met.
Enjoyed our stay but a few things to note:
* Our room - a double - only had 1 chair. As pubs shut at 10pm and we didn't want to overmix with other people, we spent quite a bit of time in our room. Fine ... except that 2 chairs would have made this more comfortable.
* Spacious clean bathroom with lots of hot water and toiletries but why the small bath towels? Big fluffy bath towels are a must for me and are one of my criteria for assessment.
* Ate in the Ancient Mariner (next door). Food generally good (if a little overpriced), amazing chips but avoid the veggie burger. Dry and so overcooked I couldn't even cut it!
* Heavy duvet made the bed too hot ... lighter duvet and tgrow would have given us more flexibility.

The stay was lovely but unfortunately the restaurant service was lacking behind the hotel service. Trying to book a table for dinner was extremely difficult with no confirmation received as promised by the young lady following requests at 9am, 11am and 6pm being unsure if the booking was complete leaving us uncertain of dinner. We did receive dinner which was lovely food but in the bar area, this was the only downside to our short stay and will have no bearing on us returning in the future.

Lovely quirky hotel, delicious food, great location for walks.

Booked for three nights only stayed for two. Room was tatty, furniture falling apart. Bathroom horrible and dirty, no sink just old bath and toilet. Sink in room leaked water all over carpet. Unhelpful staff, when asked if I could move room was told no rooms available and that the room was priced well because of condition, I don't consider £90 a night acceptable for a room in that condition!
4.3
We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel very good view from our room towards the sea. The room was very comfortable but required a mirror near to a socket so that Ladies can dry their hair or use tongs looking into a mirror. We had an evening meal the first evening, which was acceptable but lacked a variation of food for vegetarians. Breakfast on both mornings put Fawlty Towers to shame.

Upgraded to a newly decorated room. Very nice. The breakfast was very good. The TV did not work but as soon as I mentuoned this it was swiftly dealt with. Would stay again

Room (21) had a truly magnificent view! However: Hotel felt like Marie Celeste - Bar not opened at all on our 2 days visit. Reception only manned sporadically. No hairdryer in room so at 7.45am (with wet hair!) tried ringing reception from a phone in the hall (no phone in room) only to discover nobody on duty until 9am! Restaurant being re-decorated so we had to walk next door to pub for breakfast. This is fine but we were not told prior to arrival when I rang to book breakfast, neither were we told about car parking which we should have reserved at a charge therefore no space for us on arrival. Breakfast was presented nicely enough but with very cheap ingredients also 1st day - Full English consisted of usual but only 1 rasher of bacon and sausage was extremely pale looking which we left as it looked so underdone. Day two I asked to swap my sausage for another rasher of bacon (thinking that I would only otherwise get one rasher) and for my fried egg to be flipped over. This time i got 3 rashers of bacon which was lovely but no flipped over egg and when we asked for toast were given only one slice each each! Very inconsistent. However staff were pleasant.

Really lovely hotel, excellent food and fabulous bar area. Barman Sam makes superb cocktails as well as having a stunning Gin menu too!
Superb location as central to all Lynmouth has to offer. We're looking at returning here in October :)

Staff were great but the room was not worth the money. If you like outdated 1980's hotels with stained bed head boards and chair fabrics and fittings that should have long been destined for the skip then this hotel is for you. The bath was filthy and had to be cleaned before use.

The hotel staff were very welcoming when we arrived and very friendly and polite during our stay at the Bath Hotel.
The room we had was basic but clean and the beds were very comfortable.
The only drawback i found was not having a shower in the bathroom. I think it would be a good idea if they had a shower in every room.
Overall we had a lovely stay and would definitely go back again.

The Bath Hotel is a great place to stay, with beautiful views. The decor is a little jaded but is due for total refurbishment this winter. The staff are friendly and efficient & always helpful. Breakfasts are some of the best we've ever had, with a good choice. The full English is always served piping hot, which is not always the case in some hotels we've stayed in.
We would stay there again without hesitation!

Daughter, grand children and dog were in a family room. I was in a single. The hotel and staff and meals were excellent.
I appreciate a lift is not possible in a hotel of that age. Thankfully I was able to do the atsirs and the room made it worthwhile
