A lovely place to relax. I spent 3 days going from my room to the pool to the winery terrace and on to the restaurant for dinner or a glass of wine. Heavenly! The staff are superb, too.

The staff are all welcoming. Nice pool area and breakfast is served with an amzing view of the vineyards. We stayed in the suite thought it could have been a little bit more polished as the bathroom needs some love and attention, with the price we paid for the room you expect it to be top notch. I am not complaining though as we enjoyed our time. Another thing which I didnt like was we were charged for drinking water in the room....in a suite at those rates the least you could do is offer 2 small bottles of water free of charge.

The Posada is a winery, and really the only reason to be here is to enjoy the wine (here and at neighbouring wineries), the restaurant, and the lovely quiet countryside. Unfortunately, the room we were assigned was right next to the restaurant (and on the corridor into the restaurant), and it sometimes felt as if everything from Muzak to passionate conversations were right in our room. It generally quieted down by about 10:30, but still... Moreover, the posada is adding a whole new block of rooms, so there was lots of ongoing building work and some of the staff seemed preoccupied with the preparations for opening. With all the additional guests, its my guess the room we were assigned would become unbearably noisy.Despite what I write about noise, part of the joy of being at Campotinto was to be in the main building, with the common areas, antiques and general atmosphere. Im not sure how that will all work with the additional block of rooms. All in all, we had a great time here and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. Its not cheap, but thats Uruguay.

We had a fabulous stay at campitinto. The staff were exceptional, really couldn't have done anymore. The pol area was very relaxing, although the pool a little too cold for me! It was fun to take the free bikes and cycle around the beautiful countryside. The wifi was ok not quick.
