Everything was as described no complaints other than the very firm mattress on the bed settee fantastic location
4.0 / 5.0
Firstly the location is very hard to beat. With young children carrying skis and in boots took about 4 minutes to the ski school…..was really perfect.
The hotel itself was overall really good, perhaps a little basic in places but hard to fault it really. For a family it worked out really nicely.
The pool, sauna and jacuzzi are all great, a nice addition that the kids loved.
The resort itself is not the best for nightlife or restaurants, but all you need is available at the spar just 2 minutes away so cooking for yourself is easy and inexpensive.
We will be back next year.

Functional hotel, great location for ski lift, not far from the forum where all the restaurants are and amazing views but if your looking for comfort and a clean hotel then I wouldn't book this one. Building and apartments have not been maintained and has a shabby feel about it. After the initial excitement of being on holiday you start to notice the filthy doors and floors and bedding provided. No usable storage in bedrooms either. Would return to flaine but not this hotel

Good value foroney but it is very basic and you have to mop and clean the apartment before leaving which is a bit of a challenge with young kids and a transfer to catch. Also there is no clean products provided for this.

This building is rather tired with evidence of leaking drains on balconies and peeling paint on the concrete.
The studio booked had too much space taken up by a sofa bed, although designated for 4 it was just room for 2.
Check in at a weekend had a 5 hour gap when not serviced despite checking with the head office in Champery by phone, so a long wait. The staff were helpful and polite and able to help with faulty lights etc. These are not serviced apartments and diy bedmaking etcis required, cleanliness depends entirely on the previous occupants, in this case below standard. It is very convenient for the piste and access to the resort. A small supermarket and Boulangerie are close by as well as reasonably priced restaurants and bars. Skinhire is nearby too.

We were a group of 6 friends who had stayed at this property 2 times previously - so we knew it was very well located for the nearest lift - literally 100m away. However, since our last stay the condition and service at this property had deteriorated significantly.
This is not a full service property. You are provided with pack of linens and towels. You then make your own bed. We had a double bed but the sheets were not large enough for the bed. The bed spreads and blankets are left in the properties and, expressly on the instructions contained within the apartment, are not washed unless they are ‘dirty’ and the guests leaving are required to refill the blankets and bedspreads and replace them in the shelves in the rooms - this means that as the sheets are too narrow for a double bed you will have bedding that has been on the skin of others when you in you bed. Some might think this is fine. I prefer clean bedding that covers my whole body when I’m bed.
The mattress itself was very hard and had a hard piping around the edge so that was very uncomfortable on the toes or ankles. We slept badly every night.
In the living room was a sofa with a pull out single bed.The pull out bed had a very thin mattress and was so uncomfortable that our 6th person only stayed 1 night and then moved to a different hotel. The 2 worst things - no hot water at the end of the day to shower after skiing and no secure baggage storage room so no safe bag storage on last ski day. Avoid this property

Great location, attentive reception staff. Small Pool, sauna and hot tub and Speedo's only (no shorts), Duplex number 114 was very basic and tired but ok, water hot and good pressure showers. Small lounge tv with no English channels.
We were not aware that we needed to bring our own bed sheets. We were issued with mattered protectors to use as sheets which were very uncomfortable, bed pillows stained and lumpy, pillow protectors were issued but again sleep was difficult and spoiled what could have been a great place to stay.

Not the most salubrious stay ever. Room was acceptably clean on arrival (just), however we gave it a once over. There were 3 adults staying in an apartment designed for 4 - it's a good job we are close friends! Check-out was like an armed forces march-out with an inspection before your deposit was returned to check for cleanliness. I'm not used to this, and thought this was meant to be a 4* hotel with a cleaner? Woeful lack of cleaning products that we had to go out and buy.
Screaming kids everywhere with parents who did not seem interested in controlling them. I appreciate this was a holiday, and I party like the best of them, but a heads-up that this was the sort of place may have persuaded me to stay elsewhere.
Ridiculously designed ski lockers - chaos every morning with no benches and doors that when opened opposite each other clashed. No where to put boots on properly.

6 person apartment, they are having a larrf! We struggled with three. This block was barely designed and build with people in mind, let alone skiers. Although ill designed, the operators had done little to improve matters, with new but inadequate kitchen areas, cramped dining area, toilet with no hand wash basin and inadequate clothing and food storage area, and a light bulb sticking dangerously out of a loose wall fitting at exactly head height.
When we arrived after the staff had clocked out, (i.e. after 8:00pm) it was obvious the room hadn't been checked since the previous guests left. We had no linen several items of crockery had caked on food, and the provided place mats were too disgusting to use. the provided loo roles came to about 1/3 of a full roll between two loos, and we were invited to buy additional rolls (they eventually did come forward with two complete rolls).
Other guests we spoke to had also had issues with cleanliness. On one day a notice appeared telling people to report such issues to staff immediately - since when was it the guests job to check their rooms on moving in?
The ski locker area was also ridiculously cramped for changing with one rickety bench between 45 apartments worth of skiers.
There were signs advertising offers of 20% off your next visit to a Madame Vacances property. That must be the only way to get people to even consider coming back, well not us!

It's a surprise to be asked if you would like sheets on the beds. You get these for free in prison. Allow a few hours to make the room habitable. We got parole after a few days so were happy to leave!
