Stayed 5 nights. Owner communicates well when you have a question. My room was tiny. There was a table, chair, lamp and a single bed. There was a rack to hang clothes by the foot of the bed, and whats left of the floor space was just enough to open a small-medium suitcase. Location is a
2-3 minute walk to Seoul subway station (Line 4) and 2 stations away and you’re in Myeondong. Maybe 3-4 minutes when going back to the house as its slightly up a slope. 7-eleven is a few steps away.
Cleanliness is okay. Steep and low-ceiling steps to go up and down to the kitchen and common room (located in basement). Breakfast was brewed coffee, juice, teas, toasted bread butter and jam. Water dispenser on all floors. Fresh towels available everyday. Overall for the price i paid , its okay- just remember its a guesthouse not a hotel. But verything you need is there. I’m happy with it.

Best place to stay in Seoul! The host is very nice, room is very clean and location is the best just few minutes walk to Seoul station. Many cute coffee shops in just few blocks away.

The host was the friendliest and most helpful person I have ever known. He responded quickly to messages, he was always available. He is the best!
The room was quite nice, I had enough space in it. The guesthouse is really close to Seoul Station so it is easy to get anywhere.

solo traveller visiting Korea during covid for skiing. hostel format, with access to fridge, hot water, coffee machine. loved this place. shared bathroom, with private bed and desk. owner is super friendly via whatsapp. perfect for those who want a good place to sleep, not for those who are fussy and need luxury.

They contacted me with detailed check in instructions as well as detailed directions from the train to their location. The directions were so incredibly helpful. The bed was hard as a rock but it was heated, so that was nice!

We only stayed a night, but it was pleasant, clean, and sufficient for our needs. We reached almost close to midnight, and though the reception was closed by then, the staff left clear instructions for check in and out. Free simple breakfast was provided, but we didn't partake of it as we wanted something more substantial. Overall happy with our stay. Would recommend to those comfortable with a basic accommodation.

The Aroha Guest is a small but convenient Hostel. It is located quite near the Seoul Railway Station and offers good connectivity to most places around. While it's in a small lane, but the inside Hostel condition is quite good. Staff is young and helpful (though they appear a bit dry but they do provide whatever assistance you ask for). For its price, it's a suitable hostel.

Great location, budget room provided with all necessary facilities.

The Ahora guest house was overall good experience. I spend there 5 nights. Rooms was quite small but clean and comfy. They provided shampoo, shower gel and toothpaste so that was super nice. I'm good sleeper so the thin walls didn't bother me, but for others I could recommend earplugs. You really can hear others talking on the other room. There is only three bathrooms/showers but I didn't find that as a problem.
Also you should be aware that the surroundings of the Seoul station is not the "happiest" area and you'll see all kinds of life tragedies. So if you don't want to see some life realities this is probably your place.

Convenient to Seoul station. Small rooms but comfortable. Clean common bathrooms, with plenty of them (two per floor). Don't have personal lockers.

The hotel is quiet, well maintained, and clean. It offers many several useful facilities, notably a large common space and cuisine, and a baggage storage area. The staff is kind and speaks English. The location, right out the metro station is very convenient.

It was close to Seoul station but still quite a bit of walking. The room was clean and nice. The shower is a bit cold though. Not warm enough for the single digit temperature. Overall, it was alright.

It is very close to Seoul Station Exit 12. Go up to the ground, turn left and walk along the road next to the garden until the end. The guest house is at alley on your right.

Very bad. They did not keep promise. They replied my email before I arrived that I would keep the room. But when I arrived, they said they forgot and they were full and willing to refund. I requested the staff to arrange a room at nearby hostel. NOT recommend tourists to book this hostel. (縱使出發前已在電郵確認會預留房間給我,但到達時卻說忘記了安排!酒店已滿了!毫無誠信可言!又不是特別便宜,千萬別選這旅館!)

You have to walk the train underpass to get there, walk about 2 blocks , sign is small against a light post , turn into a yard at the back on the right side ,it is a great location to get around from the Seoul Station , it clean, u have to take your shoes off and used the slippers they have . No shower after 12midnight , u get a door code to enter if you out late at night , they have a place to keep your luggage after check out , my daughter and I stayed 2 nights

I spent a night at this guest house. As you can tell from its photos the owner seems to be a big fan of Rilakkuma, which provides a warm engaging environment for us guests. The two hotel staff are friendly Korean guys who can speak very good English. Just note that showering after 12 mid-night is not advised by the hotel staff because of the thin wall and limited soundproof.

Satisfied. Value for money. The owner willing to stay at the road side at mid night time just because the taxi driver cant find the hotel and lead my friend to the hotel. Appreciate his efforts.

A bed in a room for a very cheap price. if youre looking for anything more, go somewhere else. This place is convenient to Seoul Station and gives you the ability to rest your head in the event of an overnight layover. That staff was not very friendly, there was no sound-proofing to speak of, and it was very difficult to find in a very shady neighborhood. Im glad the were there since I needed a bed for a few hours, but this establishment is only good for its intended purpose.

It is a great hostel in a great location, I would stay here again.

Overall I had a great experience during both my one-night stays. Staff was very friendly, and when my plane was delayed on my second trip I just called and they told me the access code for the door and my room number. When I arrived (10:30pm) they had put a note on the door for me, in case I forgot any of that information. It was very easy to find, due to the email they sent after I made my booking. Their email included pictures of the whole route from Seoul station to their location. The rooms were clean and A/C worked well. The beds were super comfortable. On my first visit, they were mostly empty so I got a free room upgrade.
Breakfast was minimal: coffee/milk/orange juice, frosted flakes, toast w/ peanut butter or strawberry jam, an egg (cook yourself), a piece of fruit. The minimal breakfast was expected though so not a problem. They also have a washing machine you can use. One note of caution is that the steps to the basement (breakfast/kitchen/lounge/laundry) were steep. If you have a knee problems they could be tough, though it is just one flight.
My only complaint would be that several of the bathroom drains, for sinks and showers, were a bit clogged. Not a serious problem, but worth noting.
Also, I would recommend bringing ear plugs because the walls were thin and your roommate may snore.

This guesthouse has a great location, next to Seoul station and Seoul Tower, what means there are plenty of food places and easy to get to main attractions of the city through the subway. The staff was somewhat helpful with some lack of English. There is a nice common area, cozy outdoor patio, plenty of wash rooms, complimentary simple breakfast, and working internet. The only downside, which turned this place down for me, is absence of the lockers, and many drunk people hanging around on the street next to the guesthouse. I did not feel completely secure throughout the entire stay.

The Guest House is very conveniently located just moments from the Seoul Station, which makes it easy to connect to any other lines and get anywhere quickly. The staff here are extremely friendly and will answer any questions you may have.
Breakfast is simple, eggs, toast, jam, peanut butter, coffee, milk or juice, cant complain as most hotels serve this type of breakfast as well.
The common room which is downstairs has 2 really nice computers if you need to check something (also has free wifi if you got your own smart phone / laptop), a huge tv and a few comfy couches to relax. (As of now, the display photo for this guest house is the common room). They also have the option of doing laundry, and the staff will answer questions if you cant figure it out (as it's in Korean, I needed help and was the staff was glad to provide)
The only downside to this stay was the bed. It was not the most comfy one, you can sometimes feel the springs. I dont know if it was just the mattress in my room or all the beds are like this but it wasn't a big issue as one would assume.
If I ever visit Seoul again, I will look into this location again as it was worth it.
