Quiet & quaint with views of a glacier. Food was authentic and fantastic.

Nice room and shower, more Northern American style than a lot of other hotels in Iceland. Lots of areas to place your luggage so that it was not on the floor.

Very nice place

Great stay for a solo traveler, like I was. The room is similar to a college dorm but I am traveling solo so I didn't need some huge space. Bathroom is clean and nice.
Breakfast is the same as everywhere else while traveling in Iceland, basically a huge charcuterie board. I would book again if traveling solo

Great value for the stay. A bit off the beaten path but with nice restaurant and deck and good sized rooms. Probably a good location for northern lights too. We will come back if in the area.

Great value if you are site seeing in this part of Iceland. On site restaurant had great food for dinner and best complimentary breakfast of any lodging during our ten day vacation in Iceland by far!

Headline: fine for a night, not more.
Its a quaint horse farm by the volcanic ridge, but the term "hótel" is misleading - its a nice hostel, not a hotel. The bathrooms are laeger than the rooms in the guest houses, I cant speak to the cottages.
Note, there is no cold storage on site. The beds were very, very small (and I am 5' 3"). The room was nice but mildewy and a bit cold. The staff kept is pretty clean otherwise. I had to bother the front desk several times about how to check in, but they were accommodating, although their duties were split between on-site restaurant and hostle, so it was hard to find people.
Basically it was fine for 1 night, more than that and your back would hurt. The scenery by thr farm was beautiful. I was here in high summer, in winter i imagine this place would be very uncomfortable.

For the price l paid, I expected better, in the sense that, the mattress was uncomfortable, the thermo in the room didn't work, the kettle either.
At 6am the fire alarm woke us all up for nothing. Breakfast was of low quality and the desserts non-existent apart from a chocolate cake.
I took a beer 33cl in the can price 1250isk- 8,65€

Thank you for the excellent breakfasr variety, Nice country setting and new room atmosphere. Quiet area away from the highway. Close to the Westman Islands ferry terminal.

Property was very well maintained. Did expect from the web site look. Nicely renowated rooms with heaters.

Stayed here in December when no one was here. Rooms were clean and bathroom were very nice. At a price I paid I would be coming back here again.

Clean and comfortable hotel room. Breakfast was great! Recommend Hygge for dinner. Delicious meals! Everything was cozy.

Clean and comfortable room - the mattresses were extra comfy! The staff was friendly, and breakfast was included.

A nice, clean hotel with very gppd breakfast.

Nice hotel with very clean rooms and a great breakfast (omelets included). The site was very quiet. Not a huge problem, but an FYI that the name on the registration building is different than the hotel, so we circled the parking area once. Plenty of space to park and easy to find off a clearly marked road. The bathroom was large and very clean and the "black out" curtains made the room dark enough to sleep comfortably.

Nice and simple clean stay. Big bathroom.

I choose the option of paying at the hotel because I wanted to pay in Euros (they charge in this currency). A few days before the stay, I got charged in my USD card. I called and the person I spoke to said the rule is to charge 7 days in advance and that's done everywhere in Iceland. That's not true. The rest of hotels I chose to pay at the hotel charged me when I did the check in. "Thanks" to that charge, I had to pay extra because of the conversion rate.
The day we got at the hotel, the parking lot was completely covered in snow and we had to park further away. The hotel was almost empty and reception and the restaurant were closed so not even the option of having dinner there. Our room was correct and clean but the decor was quite dated. It seemed that they didn't care much about the guests' happiness because they only had a few rooms booked. Will never come back.

Liked the location, and the informality.
Disliked that at 8am the chef hasn't turned up, and we had to leave having not had breakfast as a result

It's very clean, and staff is very helpful. Nice location to look-out for Aurora if weather and solar storm permits.

Room has basic facilities, though the bathroom is not that friendly to drain water. But the restaurant has great view.

Kitchen staff was amazing. The Chef was experienced and detailed in answering the dishes. While meals are generally expensive in Iceland, the meals here are tasty and worth the price. Cheaper and taste better than what I had in Hali County.
Also the people there are welcoming. The receptionist even gave a drink recipe on a curing my cough.

The accomodations are good and clean. Check in was great - lovely man at the front. desk. You can drive right up to the front door where the rooms are.
I only put comfort level at ok because the single beds are very small. We almost rolled off a number of times dueing the night.

We did a night in the cabins here and a night in the hotel. Both were great. The cabins are warm and cosy, the hotel more luxurious. The views are fantastic and though we didn't see the Northern lights we did see a beautiful sunrise. Eat in the restaurant if you can. Gorgeous cod with salsa and potatoes. Everyone is friendly and helpful

Cute, clean hotel in remote area of Iceland. We got in around 8 PM and fair warning: the drive was NOT easy. GPS could not find location (although to be fair, it couldnt find almost anything). It was snowing incredibly hard (November means darkness). When we checked-in, the woman at reception could not have been nicer. We actually got lost on our way to the hotel (it was 20 feet away) but we couldnt see the parking lot bc it was snowing SO HARD. We got stuck in a ditch! Reception lady was unBELIEVABLY helpful and kind. She called a farmer immediately and he pulled us out in 30 mins in this terrible weather. For this reason alone, I would recommend this hotel. Side note, breakfast is included and wonderful.

Great place to wait for the northern lights -- large outdoor patio. Friendly staff, even allowed us to check out late. Room was clean.

Far from the city. Nothing close by. Rooms are not comfortable. Detached accommodation.
