Staff was great and very nice. A very good budget option for someone with a rental car. I rented the studio and it was comfortable and clean. The hot wat sometime does not come one but it only happened like 3 times. This is my second time staying here and it has improved a lot since the first time.

I found this hidden gem on hotels.com. Tucked away on the mountain top with amazing views day or night, over looking the beach in the distance. 3min taxi ride to the center of the town with plenty of party places. 20 min from the tranquil famous cabarete beach. 2min taxi to Sosua beach with shops food etc. 24hr security and staff that can accommodate anything that you need from taxi service to food or sun tan lotion.. This stunning villa is managed by a company that was more than kind and helpful (i received a gps pin with the location accompanied by a welcoming message as soon as I booked ) the property is frequently visited by the owner to ensure the property is well maintained, who was generously helpful & welcoming aswell... This property is great for a group of friends a large family or a quiet couple's getaway.

Beautiful place and awesome views! I enjoyed having breakfast and dinner by the pool with panoramic views. Highly recommend this place for the breeze, views and serenity!

This is a hidden GEM in Sosua. Located top of a hill with awesome ocean views. We had the top floor unit and woke up staring at the ocean directly our bed. Free coffee is available on demand. It looks like they are putting finishing touch on a pool with panoramic ocean views and we were told they will be serving breakfast on the pool deck once work is complete. I highly recommend it to couples and anyone else.

Business plan- allow up to four people through expedia with two large beds. Pay upfront for "discount."
Reality is you arrive with your 4 people and they say rooms are 1 bed and 2 people maximum. They then demanded we pay for another room. After traveling 4 hours in the rain we left to arrive we turned around and traveled 4 more hours in the rain. They kept all money we paid through expedia.
If you like to support businesses completely inconsiderate of families with children and thieves, please stay here.
Also demanded cash deposit of $250 for our children.
Do you like being watched by others 24/7? There are cameras everywhere. Who knows who is watching you. Right as you stop out of your room there is a camera fixated on your door.
We stayed at another similar small hotel a free days later that had four large rooms and three were rented. When we arrived at this hotel it had 6 rooms and we were the only ones. I wonder why? Buyer beware.
I hope they enjoy the money they stole from me.
Never written about a bad hotel experience before until now. This place deserves it. Unbelievably bad.

Bad experience with this place. The room smell like was close for long time. The location is far away of the beach. Horribleee

On-site staff where excellent. Nice place great bargain. While not within walking distance of anything I will definitely stay at this secluded location. Pros: Outstanding view and roomy place great staff. Cons: Small Television and little pillows.

It was a bit difficult to find the place due to lock of information, but once I founded I was very please whit the accommodation. Not anything close by. You need a car to go from place to place. There is not a single establishment within walking distance.

nice quite stay far from the village. if
you have a car this hotel is perfect. without its to far too walk..

nice place to stay and quiet place with a view to the sea if you pick the room with the view.

The room was more updated than I expected it to be. I loved it there. It's a bit from the action but if you are after privacy it's perfect.

Do yourself a favor , do not stay here. Worst hotel experience of my life! Why you should stay away:
There is an issue with bed bugs or fleas, we were covered in dozens of bites each and every night (no mosquitos in room, would not cause so many bites).
$100 deposit at check-in, and this deposit is held back for any kind of minor issue. In our case, the overhead light did not work. The manager tried to change the bulb, took off the glass cover, and evidently did not replace it correctly. A few hours later it fell and broke. We did absolutely NOTHING in terms of touching the cover, trying to unscrew it, NOTHING. It fell, probably because it was not reinstalled properly. At check-out, we were charged $100 for the cover, and there was no way to appeal or even discuss the situation. No justification given as to what we might have done that caused it to break, or the amount (I have a very hard time believing a cheap glass cover costs $100). Other guests staying at the same time told us that the management had tried to charge them for similar, innocuous things. It is apparent the deposit is used to make money.
Carolina, Salito, and the night security were very nice, warm, friendly and helpful. Jonathan, the manager, is nice enough and speaks good English, but is a total pawn of the ownership/management. The management are cheap, obtuse, and rude.

Very close to the city, with the view, space, and service like a king! So spacious and gorgeous, for an extremely enjoyable time and value...

Very friendly staff that can cook for you and drive you around for a reasonable fee. Suggest you ask them to email directions in Spanish before arrival to make it easier for taxi to locate the place. Be aware that AC shuts down between 10 am & 5 pm.

The last lady that made the bad comment I actually stayed in the same studio apartment after her,I didn't have a stove in my apartment because she had stolen the stove and took the key to the apartment home with her, the hotel had to go out and buy me a new stove to cook on,this is my first time staying in Sosua, I am so glad choose to stay at E&j boutiques, I have no complaints about the hotel or the amazing staff there, before my trip I received a phone call from one of the hotel representatives name Jonathan, he called me because he wanted to know if I wanted a taxi driver by the name of Guillermo to come to Santiago pick me up, now the going rate for a taxi from Santiago to Sosua is about $90 -$100 one way,,,,,Guillermo only charge me $65,it's another hotel representative name Carolina, she will get you everything you want, she is so helpful, she made me coffee every single morning, whatever I needed she was there for me,another person a older gentleman name salido very kind helpful person, the hotel also has a chef at the that will cook for you whatever you want, the location of this hotel is definitely 1 of the reason I love this hotel so much, it is a 5 minute walk to Sosua beach and it is located in a quiet community up in the mountains, but not at E&j boutique, I am posting a video about this hotel in Sosua please check it out,I would highly recommend people to stay at E&j boutique, and I am definitely coming back to this hotel next year to stay

Do yourself a favor and stay some place else. First off, really hard to find, out of way and really bad neighborhood...condemned buildings across street, trash everywhere. Property kept calling me prior to stay, then when I called back, they asked me to call at another time. I incurred huge International roaming fees due to all their calls and Owner not concerned when I addressed this spefically with him. Said it was my issue, not his.
NO CURTAINS!!! 5 windows. I told Owner I needed privacy, he told me to "turn off the lights and no one will be able to see in". Horrible customer service. No attempt to solve anything, just excuses.
I did not feel safe there. Dogs in neighborhood barking constantly all night.
No A/C except for select times, not set by you. Had to sleep with frozen water bottles to try and keep cool, didn't work, miserably hot and stuffy. Problems with tv and internet. I received used soap in my room, let owner know, he took used soap, then no replacement. Fleas in room. Rude and nonexistant customer service. This property was so bad, I filed formal complaint with hotels.com.

This is a great little place to stay. My time here was nice. The hotel has everything you need and the internet was very strong here. I really liked the views from this place they are great. The grounds manager is a great guy who is very helpful as well. I would recommend to anyone.

This condo residence was a true Dominican experience. We enjoyed the seaview from the balcony and the quiet of the neighborhood. Short walk down a hill to get the beach. We cooked, relaxed and enjoyed a home environment so far away from ours. Great for a weekend getaway or extended stay. Just knowing more about the surrounding areas activities with concierge service, or knowing when/if a cleaning person is coming would be ideal to make this home away from home hotel/condo experience off the charts.
