Convenient, comfortable and modern, everything we would want for our visit. Quiet room, comfortable bed and linens, great shower, no disappointments!

Great stay as always. I appreciate the upgrade. Have stayed many times.

Porter Square Hotel is clean, comfortable, and convenient. It is easy walking distance from shopping. Restaurants, and Harvest square

Excellent location and comfortable room make this a highly recommended hotel during my first visit to Cambridge. Decided to base here instead of Boston where hotel prices are quite exorbitant. Would be great if there was a hairdryer in the room but everything else is well taken care of. Would stay here again should I revisit this charming town.

It was perfect for a short stay for 2 people. The room came with 2 small bathrooms, each with a shower. This was wonderful. The living room was a decent size and had a desk, which was great for working. Bedroom was on the small side, but the 2 bathrooms made up for that.
4.0
Porter hotel provides good, basic accommodation with a few very important extras like a very good coffee machine, limitless bottled water, boiling water and ice. There is 24 hour reception manned by pleasant helpful staff.

Convenient location in Cambridge. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. Close to mass transit. My complaint with this hotel was that the room looked nice but wasn't very comfortable or easy to use. The room was very small and the bathroom fixtures weren't very functional.

Nice hotel, very close (1 minute walk) to the T and shopping area. Great new restaurant inside with a very good breakfast. Nice Thai restaurant across the street. It was a very good experience and excellent alternative to downtown Boston when hotels are $500+ per night

I wish we could have stayed here longer, but we just needed a hotel close to the T for a night. It's a great building right in Porter Square. The staff is really friendly and check-in was a breeze. We go through Boston regularly and will definitely check out Porter Square Hotel next time we need a room.

This place never fails to be a great choice. Highly recommend.

It's walkable to Harvard University. It's a very clean hotel. Their restaurant has great food. The staff is very nice. There's a 24 hour CVS across the street. The Metro stop (Porter) is across the street. There's a few dining options around with an Indian food restaurant next door. I really liked this hotel. I would stay here again.

The overall experience was good. Staff very helpful. Although not the most beautiful surroundings, it is very safe, and a lot of restaurants around. Bus and subway stations 4 minutes away

We’ve been going back to Porter Square for the past 3 years. Always a pleasant stay.

It was awesome

I’d booked a deluxe room but received a mini room instead. The staff that checked us in didn’t even bother to explain that the deluxe room “wasn’t ready yet” but put us directly into a mini room instead. In my opinion, you should get what you paid for, and since after hours of traveling we were tired and didn’t want to wait for a room that should’ve been ready upon arrival, we settled for the mini room.
Overall the room was satisfactory. The beds were fresh and firm, the tv channels worked well and the room was clean. The bathroom was also clean but very small, shower head’s water pressure was sufficient. The wifi however, wasn’t strong enough to support much web access so that was a big con.
I’d prob stay here again if I find a nice rate, given the neighborhood and its resources and the ease of transport into downtown (if and when the Red line decides to work all the way).

The stuff were pretty kind. Their mattress are pretty comfortable to sleep on. Not too hard, not to soft. Room service by request by 11 am, which is actually more preferred comparing to the traditional way.
Location wise it is 2 minutes walk from Target, CVS and Red Line.

Very nice boutique hotel at a good location right across from a small shopping center and retail. Very small room but extraordinarily clean efficient great TV great shower nice view over a courtyard very satisfied with my stay.

The hotel is really not recommended.
The manager was really not nice and rude.
Although they say they have parking- and valet is optional additionally, they don’t give another option, and charge you 28$ for day to park.
Room service is only when you request it - no daily cleaning if you don’t calll to ask

The rooms could not be any smaller. If you are a plus size go elsewhere

Great hotel. Very comfortable and cozy. Super quiet. T-Station 2 minute walk. Easy to go to Boston by rail or Uber. Really enjoyed the location. I would definitely stay again.

I have been staying at Porter Square for the past 4 years when I visit family in the area. The location is convenient, the restaurant is excellent. I was disappointed at the change in service where you now have to request to have your room serviced. Not sure why they made this change, I was surprised and disappointed by this change.

My room which I must have drawn the long straw was spacious. Room 411. 2 full bathrooms and a sitting area. The only negative, the bed was hard and the sheets were not soft. I usually like a hard mattress and rather hard than a soft one.

Is very good, but there’s no fridge in the room and the park is valet and expensive
