This has been our 3rd stay at the hotel Lido. Personally my partner and myself Love it there for its convenience to the beach, restaurants and shops ect.. However it should be stressed to new visitors that the Lido like most hotels in the area is a 2 star hotel so don't expect 4 star decor also people new to the area should appreciate this is a working coastal town so don't expect the canary island experience.
In saying this for those looking for a Spanish experience and a Lovely beach holiday will find it here.
The Lido, although dated is spotlessly clean and well run with comfortable beds and decent sized bathrooms, bidet/shower ect.. Housekeeping do the rooms daily and towels and sheets the are changed regularly. The Lido offers breakfast for a great rate and overall we consider the hotel fantastic value for money and have already booked our next stay.

Quirky hotel! Fantastic location and reception staff. It’s not the Ritz, but clean with air con, fridge and comfy bed. Ana and Paula on reception are lovely

Excellent location and value for money.
Only one complaint: I made this booking for my daughter and I wanted to pay for it. I rang the hotel and I explained and they asked me for my bank details to pay for the room on the arrival date. They told me they will do that. However, when my daughter arrived they ignored my request and ask my daughter to pay right there.

It’s a very old facility nothing modern BUT it’s Very Clean and everything works :-)

Basic hotel but clean staff friendly I was lucky had a large room with balcony and sea view which was a bonus as I’m a solo traveller.

Staff are lovely, especially Ana and Paula on reception. Bedrooms whilst dated, are spotlessly clean

The Hotel is very basic and justifies it's 2 star status. We found the floor "gritty" which was probably from people beforehand coming in with sand. Should have been swept ! The Bathroom was not totally cleaned, Around the sink and toilet area there were dirty marks. The pull handle on the Cistern needs changing. The Bathroom Bin lid was broken. The one Table lamp was not working. The doors leading to the Balcony were difficult to open and only 1 of the 2 would open. The location was ideal and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Not so good was the onsite parking situation - a very difficult entrance to manoeuvre to the underground parking with damage to our car an Opel Astra occurring. A large car would not have got in ! The photo was from the balcony of our Room, 401. Whilst these may be critical observations, the Hotel was just about OK for our 1 night stay.

We came here for work but brought two dogs with us and it couldn't be better. Completely dog friendly, little old, but homey, felt like I was at my grandma's.
The staff was really friendly and helpful, overall, if you're looking for an overnight stay and you're going to use the hotel just for sleeping and not spa and other stuff, it's really amazing and on top of that it's 20m from the beach. Loved it!

This is a good reliable hotel. Clean and very well positioned. We are repeat visitors because of the views and the cleanliness. New air con on this visit was helpful too.

This is a 2 star hotel. Clean and Basic, right on the sea front. We stayed in room 505 top floor, big outside balcony overlooking the sea. For value for money the balcony and the view were incredible. We found a fabulous sea food restaurant right behind the hotel. Overall a really great overnight beach stay.

Basic accommodation in a beautiful location. Rooms are clean but not luxurious by any stretch of the imagination. Outside noise at night time as hotel is by children's entertainment area. Situated opposite a beautiful beach with salt water lagoon that stays warm. Lots of restaurants, cafes virtually on the doorstep. We have stayed here twice and would do so again.

We paid extra for a sea view that was the hotel only reframing feature

Very nice staff and helpful. The airport has moved and it's far, 1hr by bus, buses run twice a day and also change, I called the hotel for advice, best deal is to hire a car.

free on-street parking.
within 1 min of promenade.
within 2 mins of beach.
BEWARE - this hotel is NOT in San Javier but in Santiago La Ribera [took me two hours to find it!]

Perfect location for a hotel, right on the beach front. Hotel is dated but very comfortable and for the money, excellent, most of the reception staff were nice, especially the young lady whose English is fantastic. Would definitely stop here again and love the area.

Really enjoyed our stay . Room was clean with a fridge and air conditioning. Great sea view and very friendly staff who couldn’t do enough for you. But noisy in the evening with the fairground rides right below us but got used to it very quickly. Right in town centre and close to airport. We will come again

Fabulous location, staff were extremely helpful, they really made us feel welcome. Room was clean and comfortable with a fantastic view from the balcony. Perfect for a break away.

Lovely hotel amazing location

The hotel has a great location beside the sea and restaurants. It is tired and could do with a refurbishment. The bathrooms are tired and could do with overhaul.

Fab views from our room and the proximity to the beach made this an inexpensive and practical hotel for our short break.

The position of the hotel was fantastic on the sea front but the hotel had seen better days! The room was scruffy and grubby and the bed uncomfortable. It was convenient for a night close to the airport but I would not stay there again.

2nd Visit to Hotel Lido. Love this friendly family run hotel. Feel very safe there. Views of beach from room is breathtaking. OK the room is old fashioned but immaculate clean every day with fresh towels and toiletries. Staff very helpful. Everything you need for a relaxing holiday is on the doorstep. I will be back again in september this year.

Well located, clean with present helpful staff. You get what you pay for and we didn't pay much. Would happily stay again in similar circumstances.

One of the best very affordable hotel on the beach! The view is fantastic, staff is very nice and the room is very clean. One of the most peaceful and quietest hotel we have slept in for this price, very affordable! The beach is lovely. We found a nice cafe, bakery next street over for a really cheap and good breakfast. Must try Roda Bar, for best and cheapest tapas meal in Spain!

Staff were super, lunch great value, breakfast expensive as was dinner, room fantastic but little more thought on small issues reqd such as, I used 1 robe but this disappeared and never came back, second robe was a child’s, mini bar packed with hotel products for sale leaving no room for our own water to cool (all products were auto charged if removed), room safe did not work. Having said all this, we would definitely use again.

We stayed for 11 nights, and had nothing but an amazing time! The staff were GREAT!
I spoke little Spanish, my wife is Peruvian. The staff spoke Spanish, but there is an old lady who does not on reception. Note the WiFi is very, very, very bad! Only negative you can possibly say. Good thing we spent all out time out and about exploring.
Stayed for our anniversary. It was a very romantic, cute hotel, who were very kind and helpful. The beach is right on your door step, there is a pharmacy and a handy bits and pieces store around the corner. Many breakfast, lunch and dinner spots up and down the promenade.
Only disappointment is we cannot book again for my birthday in December!! Highly recommend, do not expect the Hilton, it has all the mod cons you would expect, but in a very modest setting.
We typically stay in 5* hotels for holidays, and have everything you could demand on hand. This hotel is modest but to a high standard.
Nearby shopping centre is Dos Mares, all of this is within walking distance - about a 25 minute walk.
There is a local Ferry runs from 12 to 6 to the La Manga island. Worth the visit for a change of scenery.
Highly recommend the nearby restaurant La Miramar for dinner, took my wife there for her birthday, and it was great! There is a local Salsa disco Mytika Beach Club. It's a really nice atmosphere, plenty of couples rather than a singles hangout. Felt very safe and happy to take the wife here for a little birthday dance.

I loved the position of the hotel, and the staff were very pleasant. I would like to stay there again. but the bed was so uncomfortable that I wouldn't even consider it. Lying on the sand was more comfortable. ironically though because I couldn't sleep I could watch the sunrise in the morning, it was spectacular.

This was my second stay here and I'll go back for a third! The hotel is delightfully retro, spotlessly clean and has the most comfy bed I've slept in. What it lacks in luxury, it most definitely makes up for in charm and location

After reading other reviews of this hotel I wasn't expecting much. The hotel could do with a good refurb as it looked quite dated and shabby on first arriving. However, the staff were very pleasant and helpful, the room was cleaned every day and the view from the balcony was fantastic. The rom has a fridge but you have to ask for a kettle (fun in my limited spanish) The beds were comfortable and we had plenty of wardrobe space. Santiago de Ribera is very Spanish, don't expect people to speak english, there is a good variety of restaurants and bars close by. The beach and Mar Menor is perfect for families with small children although I wouldn't take them to this hotel as would be very cramped. If we were to go back to the Mar Menor I wouldn't hesitate to book this hotel again.

This hotel is right on the beach and a short distance from San Javier airport. We only stayed the one night before our flight to the UK. The hotel is very dated but that gives it character but it is so clean and the staff are very friendly. Our niggles are the lack of parking in the area and the bed moved when turning over also we had loud noisy neighbours. We did not have breakfast due to leaving early but we would return again when using Murcia airport as the prices are so reasonable.

We stayed over night due to late flight, 10 minute drive from the airport. Its a 2 star hotel so don't except anything else, after all its a bedroom and it does exactly that, plus it was clean. The location is wonderful our balcony was a few metres from the sea. The staff are really friendly and helpful. We didn't have breakfast so we can not comment on that. I think the mattresses were memory foam, but whatever they were we slept really well.
4.0
Nice typically Spanish hotel. Functional, clean quiet, only niggle really was my door, key was very stiff and with no lock on the inside which didn't get remedied. Not the ritz so don't expect it, but comfortable and a fridge which was great and cleaned every day.

Beautiful location but hotel is more like a hostel. Only stayed 1 night which was more than enough

Enjoyed stay very much. Short stay this trip, but would return.
