Near market but secluded a bit. Be prepared for animal noise at night. I did not eat there as better options within walking distance in central Ubud. Something that I not at 2 hotels in Ubud is when you put the sign clean my room’ and go out, they don’t clean the room but turn the card that say ‘do not disturb’. Then they say they didn’t clean because of the sign.
4.2
it was very quiet in the midst of hustle & bustle outside
The water heater wasn't working properly was a drawback.
4.2
Very friendly staff.
4.2
The hotel is at good location and staffs are very friendly and helpful. One complaint is that water pressure is very low in the shower.

Ubud Retreat was a delightful place to stay. Wonderful room, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was deljvered to our room at an appointed time - a beautiful plate of tropical fruit and delicious omelet and a large glass of freshly squeezed fruit. The swimming pool was good too. Quiet although so close to everything. A great stay

Well located

Great location. Close to everything, yet quiet and peaceful. Pool right outside the door and beautiful gardens. Clean and spacious rooms. Lovely breakfast brought to the balcony every morning by friendly and helpful staff. Couldn’t ask for anything more really and would definitely stay again 👍
4.2
Quiet and easy to go to Ubud Center.
Fewer amenities and cleanliness.
4.2
Rooms were decorated nicely, great view through the large sliding doors through to the pool and garden in the morning. Staff were very helpful and polite. Location is perfect with restaurants a 2 min walk away . Beautiful and clean will be back.

It was a lovely stay in Ubud. The staff is very nice and helpful. Breakfast is good and always on time. The pool is small but nice and cold, perfect to cool off.
The view from our balcony was amazing, we felt surrounded by nature. The shower is big and clean and very pleasant looking. We enjoyed staying here and would definetly do so again.
4.2
Very quite road and easy access to everything. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

Could have had a safe in the room to store valuables

The hotel is amazing, great location in Ubud. Walking distance of the monkey forest (highly recommend). Staff are helpful and friendly. We booked a room without air con but was fine as had a ceiling fan.

Hello, The staff was nice, professional and let us leave our luggage for a bit after check out. The breakfast was brought right to our room. It was very good.
The consition was a little poor. The windows were large enough for a man to step through and did not lock. The shoewer house leaked so bad that water did not come through the shower head unless you held it high and upside down. As I was entering to take my shower, the famous last words from my lady as she exited was “good luck”. Fixing the shower should be a priority. Renting a room when knowing the shower is just wrong / bad business.
One last thing - how do you clean a shower when rocks are piled around the floor - gross.

We enjoyed our stay here, Ubud is awesome! Our room was at the end of the retreat which was very private with a pond and bridge leading onto our balcony. All the staff were lovely. Breakfast is served to your room but is limited to eggs which was fine for me. Really liked the open shower area. The pool is small but well maintained as well as the garden. Ideally this is suited for a couple but it still worked out well for myself and 2 kids.
Its just a short walk up and down the lane to the main shopping strip with market and restaurants closeby. No safety box is the only negative.
Overall great value!
Thanks for a memorable stay here I'd definitely be back.

Very kind and hospitable staff. The hotel is in a great location and within walking distance to many restaurants, shops and attractions, but off on a quiet side street.

We had a really lovely stay at the Padma. The staff were great , the room is comfortable and clean , nice balcony to sit and enjoy breakfast and afternoon tea . Right in town but up a quiet street . They take pride in the place . Really great .

Amazing stay. Staff are so friendly and breakfast is delivered to your balcony every morning. Perfect stay! Thank you

Myself and 2 friends had booked one of the Padma rooms. It wasn’t obvious during booking that the room didn’t have air conditioning or that there wouldn’t be a safe. I thought it was pretty standard to have a safe! When we asked the hotel about the lack of safe they said the area was safe. There was a fan in the room, but it didn’t really help much, especially as there were three of us in the room. The bathroom was constantly boiling. The shower was good and powerful. There was a foisty smell throughout the room and bathroom, especially in the wardrobe, so we couldn’t use it. The included breakfast on the veranda was quite good - we gave our orders the night before. There was gap in the sliding doors unless they were both pushed to one side, so bugs/reptiles were able to get in. We came back after being out for a few hours to find the bathroom infested with huge ants. The hotel were able to provide a spray to kill them, but not ideal!! I wouldn’t stay here again.

Great location close to main street and markets, nice quiet area and great pool, rooms are nice and big

Overall the stay at Padma Ubud Retreat was pleasant. However, shampoo should have been included in the toiletries provided to hotel guests.
4.2
Very beautiful place and a relaxing stay. The staff are super sweet. Nice and quiet, just a short walk to Ubud centre. I think the only thing that could have made it better was the breakfast, which was good but not great
4.2
Nice and peaceful. Although there is a dog there but its okay.
4.2
A haven of rooms with terraces around a pool, all in lovely gardens. It’s quiet but just a couple of minutes’ walk the centre of Ubud; and has a laundry, spa, and exceptional Itslian restaurant on its doorstep. It is very clean and breakfast is served on your terrace.
4.2
The room was adequate but the pillows were hard. There was no fridge which would have been handy in the hot climate. The bathroom was smelly when locked up so we had to leave the windows open all the time. Only soap supplied in bathroom. We had our own area outside which was nice and a bit more private than some rooms. The location was very handy to everything. Good clean pool and very friendly staff.
4.2
Good all the way around. Certainly there are less expensive options. But for the quality it's a great value, nice pool
4.2
Location was Good as it was close to city center. Our room was quite spacious and clean. Bed was very hard and bath towels could be replaced as it was quite thin. Breakfast menu which was included in room rate would have been a lot better if it was local cuisine and not western breakfast.
4.2
Terrific location and staff couldn’t be more lovely but despite looking quite updated the shower literally was a “mist” - couldn’t even wash the soap off...and our balcony doors wouldn’t shut properly and banged all night and let in mozzies and insects. Felt it was very overpriced. Sorry guys.

Out if all the pleaces I have stayed in Ubud this has been my favourite, great location, grewt service, delicious breakfast, warm shower cold aircon comfy bed. Very helpful staff. Such a good spot
4.2
Great hotel just a few minutes walk from the main street in Ubud. Friendly family run operation with nice touches such as a flask of hot water and coffee and tea left on the veranda table on an evening. Breakfast was served at the room and plate of fresh fruit was a meal in itself, never mind the egg and toast. Will stay again next time we come to Bali.
4.2
Great place to stay in Ubud. Off the main road but close to everything . Only negative feedback was bad wifi but apart from that good place to go :)
4.2
This hotel was completely run down and dirty. Nothing like advertised. The pool and lights were off for the most part so it was pretty dark at night around the pool and walkways. Our room came with no AC unit, but a great working room fan. Unfortunately, there are areas where there are exposed laser cut Windows, half of which did not have screens. This left us exposed to many bugs flying in. There were stains on bed sheets as well.
As for the staff themselves, they were nowhere to be seen. We opted for no breakfast each morning but every single time we passed by the front desk, no one was there.
When we arrived, upon checking in, the staff were snapping photos of us posing like thy were really helping us, which they were not. Very unprofessional, at least ask before you start taking photos of new guests.
