Great location! Great breakfast!
2.0 / 10.0
Stayed here for 4 nights. I wasn't comfortable at all.
1. Room is very dark, lights need replacing to brighten up the room.
2. Towels were horrible. Very tatty and scratchy, even have holes. They looked like they were once white now greyish and just disgusting.
3. Pillows were horrible, lumpy. I can only dseceibe it as when you wash a duvet and they end up the insides clumpy.
4. Broken facilities like hairdrier (even after changing, just didnt work), light bulbs. The curtains look really dirty.
5.bed uncomfortable.
Good points:
1. Staff were cordial
2. Breakfast: fresh fruits! And the pizza for breakfast was very good. Freshly made!

The vnoise of air conditionner is too big.

The place used to be beautiful, hasnt been maintained, its dirty, appliances are old and beat up. The only good thing was the breakfast.

Very nice hotel close to everything restaurants and center

The staff are courteous and helpful, however the hotel's physical condition is poor - it does not match promotional photos. Dingy room paint and bathrooms needing renovation contribute to an unkempt aesthetic. More pressingly, ineffective cleaning causes strange odors property-wide. Finally, noisy outdated air conditioners fail to properly cool rooms. The one bright spot is the decent pool area. Significant facility updates would better align reality to marketing for this hotel.

The area around the hotel, like Rio in general, is having a rough time. In the hotel you can see the team doing their best and their best is impressively good.

It’s doable because of the price otherwise you have to order Uber or taxi to go to the beach.

This was the optimum place to stay for Carnival. I was able to take a nice jog in the neighborhood in the morning. This place is beautiful as it showed. My room was clean with a great view of the street to people watch. Breakfast was outstanding. There was a pool and exercise room on property, but I was on vacation to see the city. Dining options all around. Great city, hotel and people. Loved it

We had a great stay here. The location is great for accessing Lapa and Centro by foot and the rest of Rio by taxi. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good with many fruit options. The room had everything we needed.

Clean and spacy room for the price. The surroundings of the hotel is a little bit weird, especially during the night, but I felt safe inside the Hotel. I had a room facing the street but I was not disturbed by the noise coming from the street because the room was perfectly soundproofed. Nice rooftop. I ate at the Hotel and it was delicious. Unfortunately I had to wait quite a while before getting served.

I like the location of the hotel, but the front desk personnel including the manager were not polite and they weee very unprofessional. However, the cleaning personnel were very polite and informative.

I and my wife enjoyed the stay at Casa Nova Hotel. The price was below what we could name as fair! The breakfast was fantastic and the location was wonderful.

The hotel is very well located within Walking distance to the city center. Breakfast is good. Thanks to the receptionnist ( female ) who tried her best to make our stay at the hotel more than comfortable.

Good price, well positioned in the inner city but rooms are very basic, minimal toiletries, towels look and feel not clean (white towels but actually are grey in colour - wasn’t very keen to even touch the towels!). Staff was very helpful but overall wouldn’t stay there again if I was to revisit - the area is also quite rough at night

The air-conditioning unit in the room woke us all up at 3.30am making a very loud constant banging noise which continued for the rest of the night. As a result we were shattered and irritable the next day. The hotel offered no form of compensation.

Might be correct at night

This is a pleasant enough centrally located hotel. Rooms are spacious and comfortable enough for a few days. Staff are pleasant and obliging. Enough English is spoken to be helpful. Breakfast is plentiful but uninspiring. Wifi is good. The surrounding area is down market, but didn’t feel dangerous. There are restaurants and supermarkets nearby. It’s a fair walk to the nearest metro station. The hotel represents good value and I would choose to stay there again

Excellent service by staff. Inside a great hotel for the price. Location is not as good but there are residential buildings near by

The hotel is just ok, but the price was cheap so there isn’t much to complain except that they advertise they have parking but they don’t!! You have to drive to a dark alley to a parking with rude attendants and you have to pay for the parking. That was upsetting because it’s false advertisement

I have a problem in my room. Someone took the batery of my selfone and the manager and nobody solve my problem. Just take care and dont leave your personal belongs inside the room.

It was great from the room to the pool and the maid service also

Perfect location, very nice room and value. To turn on the power in the room you need to put your keycard in the reader, so when you leave, anything you wanted to charge will not charge.

great hotel, just a few minutes walking from Lapa where all nightlife happens in Rio.

The hotel was great for the price. The room was clean and the staff responded quickly to all requests. The breakfast was included in the price of the room and was very good. Fresh food and well cooked. The breakfast staff was excellent. The hotel is well centralized and very close to the airport. The only drawback might be the location in downtown like area. As expected, one needs to be careful in Rio, but had no trouble walking around the streets nearby. Use common sense when walking into rough areas. I would recommend the hotel and if I need to be in Rio again, I would not have an issue staying there again. Thank you for a good experience.
