We arrived around 8PM straight off a set of flights from SFO and were exhausted. We were welcomed into the bar, a beautiful, cozy room, given food and drink, and checked in there, since reception had closed. We ended up spending a couple hours chatting with another couple, the place promotes making friends.
Throughout our stay the food was terrific, breakfast on the lawn above the pool was amazing, including eggs from the farm's own chickens. The service was very friendly. Antonio offered us a tour of the wine cellar, which is actually built into an ancient well and not to be missed. Gabriela, the bartender, made a very good negroni and stayed to chat, as staff often do here.
The property is spread out over many acres of vineyards and over 100 fruit trees. Our building was the furthest from the central building and restaurant so it was very quiet. They provide a golf cart to get you around on the very rough and often unpaved roads of the estate but it is a bit hair-raising as the roads are bumpy and the staff drive very fast. We ended up just driving our own car around, which was slightly better, given the narrow, bumpy roads. We got lost repeatedly, but that was part of the fun as we always eventually got to the place we were going.
Highly recommend this place for anyone who loves beauty, great food, and terrific people.

good: location, quiet, fresh ingredients. Okay: service. Not good: dinner entrees.

Amazing stay at Monaci. cleanliness of the room was good but there is room for improvement. Will surely stay there again.

We received a very warm welcome and excellent service at this beautifully located hotel complex. The pool was wonderful and the estate a pleasure to walk around and see the produce growing. We then enjoyed eating it too. Breakfast was excellent and we felt hugely relaxed following our stay.

Nice Country style hotel. Very calm and peaceful.

Wonderful location and "eco resort" policies well implemented. Restaurant is a real highlight serving excellent dishes focused on local produce. Fine local wine selection. Slightly expensive but excellent cuisine non the less.
Sadly, construction of a new bar area was underway during our visit and the associated noises and workers trucks made a nuisance of the day. Also new rooms were being build on different areas of the expansive vineyard property which also lead to noise and inconvenience. During the night the interior wood of the room we stayed in creaked and squeaked constantly with the changing temperature and one the adjacent property guard dogs barked and barked for what seemed all 3 night of the 3 nights we stayed. It's a pity really that the peaceful environment was spoilt by the work going on and the dogs.. (welcome to Sicily) as this is a lovely place and we really like the accommodation, restaurant and the really friendly and helpful staff.

This was the nicest place we stayed at in 10 days of traveling in Sicily. Beautiful, spotless, modern room with stunning views...which ended up being perfect for us as it was pouring rain during our stay there. The fireplace made it all the more comforting! Staff was extremely accommodating and dinners were delicious!

Wow, what a fantastic setting in which to decompress. I only had 2 nights; I wish I had had three. Amazing views and I just fantasized about a lifestyle in the country. This coming from a city boy.

My mother and I stayed at Monaci for two nights. The hotel attendants went out of their way for us all the time. We felt like we were almost family! We had delicious cocktails and then moved on to dinner at their restaurant, which was divine! They have a sommelier on hand to guide with the wines. We loved playing badminton on the lawn and going for a walk in the orchards and vineyards. The breakfast was delicious and ample with a juicer and selection of fresh fruits and vegetables to make your own fresh fruit juice! We loved it and can’t wait to go back!

This is not a cheap hotel and despite a great deal to like, there are a few things to be put right: towels are not good for drying oneself (perhaps too much conditioner), scrambled egg at breakfast is cold and , although most dishes at dinner are super, one or two miss the mark. We recommend the delicious rabbit. Staff are excellent and the hotel grounds delightful.

A wonderful hotel. Peaceful, boutique type hotel in a superb setting. Upgraded to a suite which was enormous but great. Dinner was delicious but quite slow service which was the only downside. A lovely Sicilian buffet for breakfast.

Healthy breakfast. Spacious rooms. Nice landscape.
Not too far from Catania and close to Etna and Taormino.

The hotel was not to far from Mt Etna. Ithad an interesting mix in its decor. Staff was very nice.
4.0 / 5.0
Roomy hotel in rural location well placed for visits to the Etna National Park. Excellent pool and breakfast setup. Food was good albeit a little pricey. Some good alternatives in nearby Zaffarana Etnea. The wine tasting experience was poor quality and appalling value.
4.0 / 5.0
Well appointed with charm but not for guests who are not surefooted. Some walking for many rooms needed.

the property is a beautiful newly renovated resort on a fabulous farm. grounds are breathtaking. check in staff was lovely. breakfast selection and cocktails were memorable.
room we had was very comfortable especially mattress and air conditioner.
restaurant and breakfast staff fell short for a luxury property (one has much higher expectation at these prices) but when i complained the management was nice enough to give us a reduction to the restaurant bill.
for the area you really need a car and willingness to drive 40+ minutes for activities such as etna taormina and neighboring beaches, catania.

Amazing experience. Will absolutely return.
