We loved how quiet the area was & everyone was so nice. The beds very comfortable. The staff very nice. Here's the but, the only way to have lights on in the room is all lights on or off, room service is only breakfast, menus are not up to date, no tea only coffe in room, bathroom fan never shut off. We left our room at 10 am, housekeeping was cleaning the room bext to ours, we had our clean room & when we returned at 4 pm room was just getting service. The hotel needs to be a little bit cleaner.

We have stayed at the Via several times because we like the convenience of the location and ample street parking around it. This time the check in agent was super impersonal and robotic. No smiles no welcome or welcome back (perhaps the hotel pms used doesn't recognize return guests by name?)
We were not allowed to access the roof top bar as it was rented out for a private party. Make sure to ask the hotel about this as the rooftop is a big part of the allure of staying at the Via. The housekeeper we encountered was very nice and the room was immaculately clean. The shower is amazing and big but the room itself on the smaller side. It did have the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. We only missed having the option to purchase water bottles in the room.

Front desk staff unfriendly. Hospitality lacked customer service. Definitely set the tone for a bad impression on the hotel.

Super clean, great size room was an awesome view and super comfy bed!

Great stay! Was located right near the stadiums and was easy to get to and check in. The staff was accommodating and friendly. Roof top bar was an awesome place to see the city and grab a drink before going out. Valet parking was a bit speedy but much easier than trying to find a safe garage.

Stayed the night for the convenience of our concert that was held across the street. Staff was friendly, but a little confusing when giving details about parking. Both front desk and parking assistant weren't on the same page. Room was clean but small. There were a lot of scuff marks under the window on the wall ans on the walls in the bathroom. I took pictures so I'm not charged for them. Bed was okay. Nothing special. The pillow I slept on was not good. It hurt my neck and I couldn't get comfy. I didn't sleep well. There is a rooftop bar/restaurant that my husband and i were looking forward to eating at before the show. However, we didn't get to enjoy it due that it was closed for a private event. I called the hotel a few days before to ask about parking and the restaurant. They said it would be open..when we checked in, it was closed and we couldn't eat before. I wish they would have told us about the event before and not when we checked in so we could have planned something else. Overall it was a decent stay and super convenient for our plans. However $90 to park with a $430 one night is crazy! I dunno if I would book here again, because it so expensive.

Amazing stay right next to the park. Definitely my new favorite hotel in SF. Bed was super comfy. Great view of the park. Ordered room service and the food was delicious. Easy check in. Valet was quick. Room was super quiet.

A very nice place to stay if you are doing to any event at Oracle Park, with an enjoyable rooftop lounge.
Hotels.com members beware: this property does NOT receive room upgrades upon request, as stated in the Hotels.com app (although the app says, “upon availability,” we were assured any 3rd party booking services are NOT entitled to upgrades of any sort, regardless of VIP or Platinum status).
The rooms are clean, and most everyone was extremely professional and helpful. Of all the wonderful staff members we encountered, only the first person we experienced was less-than-receptive and friendly. Also, if you have a bottle of wine in your package, make sure to ask. The staff member we encountered first, would not have offered unless prompted.
The housekeeping staff is exceptional, and much appreciated.
Overall, we would return for any Oracle events in the future.

Great place to stay and catch a baseball game.

Went to SF to go to the Giants game, the location was perfect! The bed, pillows, room temperature was perfect. The tablet was a good addition love controlling the lights and music from the tablet. The front desk agents were really nice and love the coffee in the morning and the lemon water though out the day.
4.6
Perfect location for our baseball and public transportation access.

We stayed for one day/night as my nephew was performing at The Rooftop Bar. The room was clean and available before our scheduled check-in time, which was greatly appreciated. The valet was extremely helpful (both when we arrived and when we checked out). The front desk staff was helpful, but also did not seem to understand how to sell some of the items for sale in their lobby. The Rooftop staff was very helpful. Overall, this was a good stay for one day/night. I would consider this location again for a special occasion, but (at its price point and the lack of knowledge/service at the front desk) I would not consider this location as a place to stay on a regular basis or recommend to anyone as a place to stay.

Love the rooftop bar and the location across from Oracle. The immediate area is clean and the staff is friendly.

We love this boutique Hotel right across from the Giants stadium! Roof top bar is so cool. We often spot current and former SF Giant players! We always come back even if we aren’t coming for a game!
4.6
Staff is welcoming and helpful.
Room was comfortable and nicely appointed.
4.6
Very nice hotel but spoiled because they permitted a private party booking on the rooftop bar which they then closed to guests. We came back after a day in the city planning a relaxing drink on the much vaunted rooftop bar only to be greeted by drunken partygoers cramming the lifts and corridors. We hoped for a bit of peace in the room but there was music thumping through the rooms on the upper floors. We got indifferent shrugs from hotel staff when told we had ‘booked through a third party’ (Hotel.com).
Not a pleasant experience!

Really great hotel. Relatively clean area of the city. Good staff. Very comfortable bed. Clean bathroom. Good tech for ac, room service TV and lights. Will absolutely stay again.

Had another fantastic stay at Hotel Via. The staff was great, especially the graveyard shift manager Rey. She was excellent and so friendly! And you must check the rooftop. I'm glad i finally did. Keep it up

A/C didn’t work so they brought up a box fan, then offered to move rooms so we packed up our stuff and the box fan, which we needed cause the A/C was out in the new room too! Was there for 3 nights and the morning of checkout the A/C on the second room finally started working. So had the box fan running the whole time. For the nicest and most expensive hotel I’ve ever stayed at, I’m still disappointed.

Great location, great staff and very modern and clean!

Great view of bay and Giants stadium. Bottle of wine is a nice touch. Real "glass" glasses & wine glasses.

I had a wonderful stay in San Francisco at Hotel VIA. I had a late arrival and the front desk staff were very accommodating. They even helped me understand the local mass transit system. The hotel was very close to restaurants and right across the street from the San Francisco Giants Stadium.

At checkin, the man forgot to give the wine bottle. The VIP benefit is also supposed to include a free room upgrade when available and the man told me that there was a room upgrade available but if I wanted it, I would have to pay an additional amount. I explained to him that I’m a VIP member and he said that they’re no longer recognizing that benefit, which is not in line with what Expedia promised.
I went back to ask for the wine bottle and I got a half bottle.

Hotel was really clean and modern. They have a
Tablet in each room that you can use to control ac/heater and even turn off/on lights. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent location close to Chase Center. Would stay there again!

Was a very convenient place to stay directly across the street from Oracle Park. Great views of the city/bay area.

Great welcome. Love this hotel

I think the parking is a little ridiculous. The hotels website says one price for parking but once I got there they said it was more, (I fought it). On top of it they either didn’t park my car in the garage or a bird was in there because my car had three giant splatters of bird poop.

This is our 3rd time staying at this location. A few issues arose during our one night stay this weekend, which was unfortunate...
1. We called at 11am to see when our room would be ready. She said she would call me when it was ready but never called. So we just arrived at 4pm which was our 'guaranteed' check in time. I asked how long our room was ready and was told 'a couple hours'. It would have been nice to have gotten the call we were promised.
2. We purchased some snacks and a bottled water. They charged all to the room. When we checked out, I asked for a receipt and was told it would not show any other charges besides the incidentals. We were changed $112 for both valet parking and the snacks/water, but still have no idea how much everything was itemized.
3. We called ahead for valet. When we got to the valet area, we waited for about 5 minutes as he brought someone else car... For us. Told him the type of car we had, and he proceeded to retrieve our keys, which he could not find. He even took a fob and showed us it and said 'this one?'. It took another 10 minutes, both front desk hosts and my husband and myself to finally find it inside the outside, UNLOCKED valet box. It blew my mind all the keys were just outside with no one else at the desk while our car was retrieved.
4. I don't know if this is a Hotel issue or a Hotels.com issue, but we did not get our complimentary water bottle for being a Hotels.com elite member (or whatever it is called).

It was so easy to cross the street to the ballpark! Would certainly stay here again!

Nice clean rooms. Walk-in shower. Beautiful roof deck bar/restaurant. Great hotel if you are doing something at Oracle Park or Chase Center.

Perfect location across from Oracle Park. Valet & check in was a breeze, everyone was welcoming & friendly. Nice food options & roof top bar. Room was clean, comfortable & quiet. Look forward to staying again.

Had a lovely extended stay. Hotel VIA is very clean with updated room and amenities. Staff were so kind and rail system right outside the hotel for easy access to transportation. We stayed here as across the street to Oracle park. Very convenient and walkable. We ditched the rental car during our stay as parking rates expensive in SF area.
