This hostel is about 20 mins down hill to The Albert Dock, The bombed out church is on the hop on and off route.
The room I was in (5) was extremley noisy even with ear plugs, there is a generator noise from the pub outside the window, which (for me) made it impossible to sleep until it was switched off around midnight.
The pub also empties its very full bottle bin at midnight too.
The room was spacious, however the bed was extremely uncomfortable, the springs make more noise than my bones.
The springs also stab into your body when you turn.
It has a good light and charging point next to your bed.
The bag cage under the bed was spacious, however you have to lift a metal framed bed to pull it out and push it back in, it was heavy and hurts your fingers.
The bins were not emptied from Friday till Monday.
The hostel has a good sized games/TV room.
Tea and coffee is free 24 hrs a day which is amazing.
Reception is also 24 hrs.

I have stayed here before and have never had a bad stay. Staff are so friendly and helpful, alway so polite. Definitely stay here again for sure.

Continently located and good for a short stay.

I like everything about the property. I have stayed here many times, and know most of the staff quite well.
3.9
Great location and cheap for Liverpool.

Noisy neighbours were slamming doors, kicking the walls, yelling, listening to drunk people throwing up in the middle of the night. Hard to believe that the reception didn't notice when the rooms were just above the reception. My daughter was frightened because of the noice. I sent an email after the stay, but no answer from the hostel/hotel.

The prime location and price for this property makes it value for money. Would definitely recommend this to solo travellers. Will surely book this property again when I'm going to Liverpool.

Great location- walking distance for the uni, train stations and city centre.
Check in/check out was quick and easy.
Kitchen well-stocked with utensils, pots, plates, bowls etc.
Dormitory beds were great- had curtains, USB sockets and reading lights.
Quality showers.
Plenty of space to sit in lounge area.

Stains on numeous items and what appeared to be a plaster stuck onto the wall.
Bed was incredibly uncomfortable and no towels provided.
Only perk was the friendly staff and convenient location

Bed was very very uncomfortable pillow was as flat as a pancake & i had the worse possible room the rubbish bins was right outside my window and there were emptying glass into them after midnight. The kitchen was absolutely filthy no clean tea towels in sight so u had to use the same one that had been there for god knows how long

Nice little room perfect for an overnight stay . Clean place to rest your head . Staff where lovely . The hotel in a close location to everything . Quite easy to fine

Everything was good and staff was really friendly and helping. The only thing is there’s 1 toilet for a 7 people bedroom, which is not very convenient when you try to get ready in the morning

Enjoyed stay very convenient

It is a nice hostel, with a great cost-benefit ratio. The facilities are good and the rooms are comfy. The curtains over each bed even provide some privacy. The kitchen and game room are available and you can have a nice chat with people from all over the world.

it was 8 dorm but room is very wide, so it was not suffocated at all. bedding was also clean and nice. and very quiet but still close to the main street :) if I go to Liverpool again, I will def stay this hostel again.

Absolutely lovely staff, great value for money with a safe and comfortable stay. Would definitely visit again. It’s close to the town centre and has pubs and restaurants nearby, perfect for anyone looking for a good place to stay

Basic but ideal to visit the city, great location, friendly helpful staff, a bit noisy but was freshers week and wasnt unbearable!

The room needed a make over.
Window not completely closed and no remote control for the TV.
The light over the WC mirror didn’t work.
Only one toiletpaper...

My twin bed room is small, but the common use kitchen is very nice with free coffee, tea, bread, jam all the day. Easy to get to most attractive sightseeing points by walk.

For the price, this accommodation is ideal. Stayed for one night. Very central, good car park 10 min walk away, really friendly and informative staff, decent kitchen so we could get a drink & toast, basic but OK room (as expected)

Rooms clean and spacious, bathroom nice, bed comfy, staff very friendly, great location only slight down was the noise outside could be heard early morning. Was overall very happy and booked for NYE

Pros: our own bathroom, twin beds, first floor - kind of - and late check in. Cons: bed felt old and a little lumpy, but it did the trick after a long day. The sheets felt clean, but the pillows were not. The shower was nice, but you cant turn on the water without being inside of it, so it was weird. The room was long and skinny. There was only 1 outlet. The bathroom was attached. The place stayed a good temperature the whole time. The shower was hot. The kitchen was a little ways down the hall. The pillows, throw pillows and bed frames didnt feel very clean. I ended up using a tee shirt over the pillow. One set of sheets felt and looked fine. The other set could have used a better wash. The shower didnt feel super clean, either. The toilet and general areas were fine. The community kitchen was very clean. The hallways needed a good vacuuming. The community kitchen is huge! lots of space with two sinks and free bread, tea and instant coffee. Check in was easy and pleasant. There is always someone at the front desk. The door to the rooms and each room door has a swipe card to get in. The area is fine! Its close to a lot of the shops and night life. The water and Albert dock is walking distance, but not super close. We had a fine stay! Its budget friendly, so Id stay again if I needed a hostle with a private bath. Our room was on the front of the building, so even late at night it was loud out on the streets. I can sleep through anything, but it was worth mentioning.

For the price its perfect. Website said there would be a towel but there wasn't but you can rent one for a pound.

This hostel was in a good location and our room was clean and quite nice. The shower door was broken and the kitchen a bit of a mess but overall it was a pleasant stay.
3.9
The bunks creak very easily! And mattresses are definitely sub-standard - akin to a 3rd world nation.Allowing drunk people check-in in at 3am is questionable. The (over-priced) self laundry was a bonus. The power outlets should be located close to each individual bed!The staff were friendly and helpful!
3.9
Great place to stay! Within walking distance of everywhere. Booked as was on a hen do with friends and was cheap and cheerful. Got what I paid for and free tea and toast aswell 👍. The only but iv marked down is cleanliness as the previous customers underwear was left in the bathroom behind the door, obviously it hadnt been seen but was quite a shock when I went to the loo to see a thing hanging from the towel rail lol!
3.9
People allowed to check in into commual rooms all through the night. Hard floors and loud doors mean little chance of sleep through that. I get its a hostel but its quite far removed from the friendly encompassing ethos of one. My room had one guy with all his belongings in it and 3 non english speakers all ignoring each other so it was not a friendly atmosphere. Sleep was more a series of 30min naps and when youd had enough of that the atmosphere just made you want to run
3.9
The hostel was clean and comfortable all needed for a cheap get away and night out. Second time I've stayed and no complaints. Minutes walk into town

Staff was friendly and helpful..luggage storage was only 1 pound per person! We booked a twin room with our own bathroom and it was just perfect! Very clean

Nice hostel for backpackerFree tea, coffee and bread 24 hr

Apart from the mattress not being overly comfortable, unable to find fault with our stay. One review states how noisy it is but we found the hostel quiet and peaceful. Free tea, coffee and toast 24 hours so perfect for breakfast before exploring the city and surrounding area.
Excellent location for discovering Merseybeat and Beatlemania, even finding a pub the Quarrymen used to frequent! Would definitely rebook should we visit Liverpool again.
