We booked this home to be able to see our daughter who is in NC for college and our brother who just had a baby. We were looking for a home to suit our needs of me still working remotely, a kitchen to cook and an area for our dogs to play. This place hit ever mark that we needed. The bedrooms were very spacious. The kitchen was great for cooking and the ping pong table kept our son who is on the spectrum very busy. The home is as pictured and very clean. This made for a great family trip and a great place to stay after a 7 hour drive. We cant wait to be back soon.

The owners were extremely nice, communicative, easy going, and wanting to make sure our stay was fantastic. Overall, this house has been in the rental pool for some time anf the wear and tear shows. Yet, the price point is inline with what you get. It's fair given the location to others, end of circle, wear and tear. Just be aware going in. Yet again, the price is fair to offset these items. Owners very easy to work with and allowed me to extend my staff withou issues. I would rent from them again.

The owner tried hard to create a travel motif in the house which was fine, but should have invested in basic cleanliness. We have just brought home a nice dinner in the kitchen only to find cockroaches crawling on the counter. The shag carpets were very old and stained, and did not feel clean. The night we were supposed to put garbage cans out (orders of the owner) we found the garbage can and half the recycling bin filled with the neighbor’s gross food and contractor trash. I had to clean up this mess. The owner required that we strip the beds at the etc. The owner added a hefty cleaning fee when we booked. After staying there it felt like we should have been paid a cleaning fee. We couldn’t wait to leave.

The house was as expected based on the pictures. The neighborhood cul de sac was quiet for walking dogs. Nice hill on the the adjacent circle. Back fence: Our smallest dog fit right through. Fortunately, I suspected this and monitored her closely and there is a second layer of fencing near the street behind the house. The main TV has an excellent image quality. Internet: it’s Fiber The games are a very cool and unique touch. Love it. Kids games and more adult games too. The books are also a nice feature in the study. Having a study: Best room in the house! Kitchen: worked very well for us. We basically just used the fridge and toaster oven. A little bit of the stove for noodles. Nice range. Great fridge. We brought our own coffee and used the coffee maker each day. We brought half and half but there is a supplied non-dairy creamer. It is a nice coffee station. French press. Nice touch! Laundry had solid equipment to use. It would be nice to add a small LED strip above to read the settings more easily. I used my phone’s flashlight to get it to function on the appropriate settings. Towels were good. Pillows were very good. Bathrooms were spacious and functional. All faucets were excellent! Beds were all comfortable. Great spaces. Size, colors, and decor. Blinds allowed room darkening. Particularly in 2 out of three bedrooms at nap time. Garage was slightly shallow in depth. I could have parked our truck in there with about 12-13 mm to spare to the stairs and front door. I opted to just park in the sloped drive. If we did not need a double stroller, our Q5 would have fit nicely in the garage. Worked perfect for us.

Great location, walkable to Hops bottle shop that is pup friendly indoor and out, and the neighborhood have a few dog walk/run loops that were great! House was wonderful for 2 of us working remotely by day and househunting by night. Big backyard was very clean with great grass, perfect for playing with a ball!

Our family overall was very disappointed by the lack of cleanliness, and upkeep areas including the kitchen cupboards/oven/ pots-pans/bedding/blankets, chesterfield in the living room, and very uncomfortable bed in the secondary bedroom. The ceiling fan in the upstairs bathroom was broken, and the small towel rack kept falling off the wall. There was no bathmat to prevent slipping, and the towel supplies left us each with only 2 and one face cloth. The oven had burnt food leftover in it and was not cleaned properly. The kitchen cupboards were dirty, and unkempt, and the pantry lacked basic cooking supplies. The less than satisfactory dishes used for meals were plates that were all chipped, and cutlery was so basic that it barely qualified as being useable. The pots/pans - were so old and worn, the frying pan was so blackened with no non-stick left that even a breakfast of eggs was impossible to cook for the family. The very old and worn chesterfield in the living room was not suitable for our senior parents as they could not sit down and get up from it easily because it was so low to the ground. And it had dirt marks on it, and smelled so we had to cover it in order to feel comfortable when watching tv. My husband and I had the secondary bedroom, and the first thing you noticed when you walked in the bedroom was the odor of pets. There was an odor in the carpet so strong we could not close the bedroom door at night. And when we went to bed the first night we noticed the underside of the comforter had stains on and smelled so we knew it had not been washed. These are all the things that you would not notice in the pictures on VRBO for this listing, and as a result this home certainly did not meet our expectations. I reached out to the owner after we had decided to leave a few days early, and she was receptive to my concerns, I even sent pictures, which I wish I could have posted on this site if it allowed me to upload as proof. The owner stated that she was "unaware" of these concerns and that changes would be made(somebody is not doing their job properly or following up effectively)And I am hoping that by doing this review things WILL ACTUALLY be changed!. As it would have been easy to leave things with her in my post email sent after our stay which listed our concerns, but I wanted to be 100% sure that the next customer does not experience what we had gone through with our stay at this home.

I work frequently in the Raleigh area. I have stayed at several places prior to this and I can confidently say this has been by far the best property I stayed at. The owners Julia had sent out 3 emails to me prior to coming to the area. Very detailed and thoughtful emails. The property itself is beautiful, very spacious and very comfortable amenities. The neighborhood is extremely quiet which is nice since my work mornings start between 5-6am. One of my favorite things was Julia’s email for the checkout procedures. Usually they are rather vague so having it laid out in detail made me feel more comfortable with it. My team and I will be back in Raleigh at minimum 5 more times this year and will definitely be looking at Julia’s property first to see if it’s available.

We felt right at home in this great dog friendly house. Off the beaten path and an easy commute to downtown and shopping. Sooooo much better than a hotel! Highly recommend!
