It is a quiet, private community located on Falls Lake. Only owners and their guests are allowed into the resort. There is a community beach just north of our cabin which is great for small children and dogs to play on. The roads within the resort are ideal for walking around to explore the community. There is also a boat launch just a few meters south of our property if you wish to bring your own watercraft. There is a general store/ gas station 1.7 km down the road to the east. They stock most basic necessities, a few groceries, and also have a liquor store. They have both regular gas and diesel. They also serve ice cream. There is a bait and tackle shop beside it as well as a seasonal take out place.
Ross Farm Museum is just over 20 mins away. They are open year round and offer a glimpse into the way of life back in the 1800’s. They have farm animals and horse drawn carriage rides.
Sherwood Golf & Country Club is 20 mins away. There are 18 holes and you can rent carts and golf clubs.
Bent Nail Winery is 15 mins away. They have pizza, pasta and appetizers and make their own wine and beer on site.
Oulton's Meats is 20 mins away. They sell fresh meat from their farm. They can do just about any cut or type of meat you desire. They also have a free agri-zoo that you can tour which has many domestic and exotic animals.
You will need you own car to get around. There are no public transportation or taxi services nearby.
Absolutely no parties or events. This is a beautiful, quiet part of the world, so please be respectful towards the neighbors and keep the noise down, especially between 10 pm and 7 am. There are noise monitors inside and outside (these record noise levels, not dialogue) as well as a security camera overlooking the driveway.
This is a smoke-free home. Please do not smoke or vape in the house, hot tub, decks, or on the outside furniture. If you smoke or vape outside, please clean up after yourself and make sure all butts etc. are fully extinguished before disposal. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
Firewood is not included but is available for purchase the store nearby. Do not take wood from neighbouring properties. My neighbours have cameras installed to monitor their properties.
Before the firepit is used, the burn restrictions must be checked. No fires are allowed before 2pm on any day.
No extra guests without prior consent from host.
All adults staying at the property must read the house rules and manual prior to their stay.
No diving off dock, the water is too shallow.
It is essential that all waste is sorted, bagged and disposed in the proper location. There is camera surveillance of the garbage disposal area to ensure it is done correctly. Detailed instructions are given and must be adhered to to avoid wildlife getting into the bags and to avoid rejection by the waste management company.
Since the property is on a septic system, please be mindful of what you put down the drains and toilets. Generally speaking, only stuff that comes out of you and toilet paper is safe to flush (do not dispose of any hazardous chemicals, plastics or wet wipes as they will either clog or mess with the chemistry of the system). Also make sure that any toilet paper you have is septic safe (usually labelled on the package). Failure to do so could result in a backup of sewage into the house.
Do not use the wash clothes to remove makeup or mascara. Use disposable pads for this and please dispose of these in the garbage.
Please remove shoes upon entering.

Such a tranquil and beautiful spot. We really enjoyed our stay.

We spent a few days here and enjoyed every minute of it. From kayaking on the lake to swimming, enjoying a fire and reading on the dock in the early morning with a great cup of tea. It was really peaceful. Not to mention relaxing in the hot tub. It was exactly what we needed to recharge our batteries. The cottage offered everything we needed plus more. I would totally book this cottage again.

We spent a few days with our dog. The cottage is great and location perfect to visit surrounding. The resort is calm and neirbhours are quiet. Although it is to notice that the houses are very close one to another and they all have their dogs too. I would recommend with no hesitation!

My sister and I brought our kids for March Break. It is a BEAUTIFUL location, the ducks and sunset greeted us at the pristine lake, the stars above were lovely later as we enjoyed the large, clean hot tub. We skied at Martock (only 10 mins away), spent a day in Halifax (less than an hour away) and enjoyed family time playing games, reading, watching movies. Brendan was an excellent host, everything you need is provided, and the beds are comfortable. We were 6 and had lots of space. Highly recommend this gem any time of year, we would return for sure.

The pictures and listing truly do not do this property justice! When we arrived the sun was setting over Falls Lake & everything was bathed in orange light ☀️🧡 It was stunning! It's a semi remote location but very quiet and peaceful and also a great central spot for day trips through Nova Scotia including Wolfville, Peggy's Cove & Windsor. The bed was very comfortable, the house stocked with everything you need & the amenities including washer/dryer, fire pit, hot tub, grill etc were all great!

Beautiful property and excellent accommodations. However, we could not get the Pellet fire to work. Hopefully this issue is resolved before the next guests.

Our family had a great time during our stay! It was a nice place to take the kids during March break, with Martock being so close.
The hot tub was a hit and the cottage was warm and cozy, bonus points for the lake view. Can’t wait to book again and enjoy the summer months.

Beautiful location. Nicely appointed cabin although much smaller than expected.
Cleanliness a bit of an issue, but reported to host. We had an issue with lack of WIFI so no TV.
Hot tub was beautiful and clean. Grounds clean. Would be beautiful in Summer, right on the lake front.
We did enjoy our stay.
