It was comfortable & room quiet after a long drive. service was reasonable considering the staff were stretched during an afternoon party. People were generally pleasant and did well. Pity no food on offer on a Sunday night but since it was a central location there was plenty on offer locally.

The rooms were clean, spaceous and comfortable. Breakfast was good value. The Crown is in an excellent location regarding facilities in the town.

NITE checkin staff very helpful with dining, parking, and getting us a fan for room.
Bathroom needs a grout cleaning, and bug removal from ceiling and breakfast room.

Stay was comfortable in a quiet area.
-Disappointed that they had no real ale on the handpumps,on previous stays enjoyed locally brewed ales.
-Hot water in sink was uncomfortably hot without the addition of cold.

Stayed for one night, room was basic and clean, en suite was clean and a good size. Staff were friendly and the price of the room was very good compared to other over night stays. No complaints.
2.0
Very tired and dated. Room was tiny; we could hardly walk around the beds to get to the bathroom without bumping into the bed or the wall. Windows wouldn’t shut properly. Overpriced for what it is.

Excellent room. Very clean, comfortable and no noise from the surroundings. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel room was basic but felt and looked clean.
Unfortunately it was extremely hot so we had to buy a fan from asda, which helped slightly but not a great deal.
It wasn't a great night's sleep due to the heat.

Clean comfortable room and good breakfast though some traffic noise if the bedroom is at the front of the hotel. Free parking immediately behind the hotel

Stayed with my daughter - ate in the bar/restaurant downstairs which was very busy as a friday night and loud down there but no one rude or scary!!! Food and drink very reasonably priced and tasted great. Service was very slow but we were in no real rush.
Common area leading up to the bedroom was dated but clean
Bedroom was basic but clean, tidy and very comfortable! The room itself was very quiet, no noise from downstairs patrons.
Enjoyed our stay overall and would stay again in a heartbeat if need to return to the area. Thank you!

Very comfortable, clean, bit noisy at night with doors banging but overall I would and will stay again.

There was no parking on site. We parked at a long term stay car park nearby. There was food found on the carpet. It's a bit noisy when the pub downstairs is open.

What a lovely pub hotel, room was a lovely size, quiet. Would recommend to a friend if they needed to stay in Hailsham. Close to the shops. Would stay again

Very helpful, needed to check in earlier than check in time, due to a wedding, and we wouldn’t be back till v late, they took bags and put them in room, once it was ready

Stayed here with a wedding party for our daughter’s wedding. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly.

We stayed in three. The room was big, but it was including waste space where no one stays there. If sofa bed was opened, no space to walk or open your luggage.
The room was not in basement, but ground floor rooms have less top window which you feel as it is in basement. I would feel horrible if the days were really hot. No air conditioners.
The room hadn't been make up. This is because we didn't put the sign (hanging the door) that we need. Thank you for such warm service. What if we forgot to do that? Horrible service.
The whole service was horrible because the employees are more focusing on pub side, so if the timing is wrong, even you shout several times, they won't come to you.
At least, the rooms were in back side of the pub, so not noisy. Also location in Hailsham was nice, good to walking around in morning.
Breakfast was standard, I would recommend to go bakery closer the hotel, this is more cheaper.
Oh, nothing good to say, sorry.

Really friendly and helpful staff, eager to help. The food was fantastic, we had a variety of meals. Few little niggles which the staff were quick to address. Really enjoyed our stay here.
Room slightly smaller than used to but the comfortable bed more than made up for it.

Lovely stay in the family room with my children.

A very comfortable stay. Double room was a bit tight with the en suit of similar size. However bed was comfortable. Without the availability of air conditioning they provided a decent fan and made sure the room was airy on arrival. Very clean
On arrival had to book in at the bar. Met with friendly staff who took us to a quiet area to check in.
My only issue was the 10pm cut off for check in. We were traveling some distance so we’re concerned re traffic hold ups. Luckily we arrived with 15 minutes to spare but would of been stuck if something happened.
Overall lovely traditional pub B&B

The hotel was basic but adequate and clean. The rooms were overlooking the main high street so there was some noise - church bells, loud exhausts, chatter - so we did have to keep the windows closed at night. The walls between the rooms are very thin which we found a problem where there was a bedroom next to another bedroom (rather than a bathroom or corridor) which resulted in a poor nights sleep. Breakfast had limited choice but was adequate. We ate in the restaurant one evening and found the food to be average, however there was an issue with getting details on allergens in the food which meant one of our party chose not to eat.
Overall the hotel didn’t ruin our holiday but we would not choose to stay here again.

Nice pub and rooms upstairs. Clean, tidy & comfortable. Staff very friendly.
Good breakfast.
Bit noisy, as its above the bar, & on the main street, but once the stragglers had gone it was fine.

Booking in was fast and efficient. I ate a meal in the restaurant with a pint in the bar afterwards. Breakfast was adequate but inexpensive. Excellent location in the middle of Hailsham. Would rebook again without hesitation.

Good area. However window didn’t stay open so room was boiling. Room was above the pub entrance, so very loud. No recycling.
Overall a pleasant stay, considering the price.
