Clean, modern accommodations right in the center of downtown Topeka. An excellent choice for lawyers who have cases at the federal courthouse a few blocks away.

Hotel is iconic and in the heart of downtown. We love staying at the Cryus and visiting all of the local restaurants, breweries and bowling/golf simulators within a block distance. The staff was great, Wesley made sure we felt at home and our room was beautiful. The Cyrus gives us an opportunity to step back in time and immerse ourselves in the past. This was our second stay and we will be back!

Need to be very security conscience about the parking area for the hotel due to the fact that you go from a parking structure into the hotel through the back through an alleyway that is poorly lit unsecured no security at all. The room was smaller than I expected and that should be stated in the description of room that is assigned. I paid $200 for one night and should have got a little bit of a bigger room with a king size bed. Instead I got a room that did not face the capital it faced the back alley parking structure and even though I was not there for the view it would have been nice

My husband and I have stayed here a couple times traveling from Tennessee to Colorado we absolutely love it. The food in the restaurant is very good as well

A lovely hotel with comfortable, clean rooms. Feels and smells clean. Bed and linens first class. Wesley at the front desk was welcoming and informative. Michael, the marvelous bartender was a master creating cocktails and Allyson was friendly and helpful during the breakfast hour. Location is good. Parking on the street or in the garage. No room service. Ice available in the restaurant. Remodel in 2019 was exceptionally done.

Poor check in experience. Nice hotel, good amenities. Overall fine, could have been much better. When I arrived, the person at the front desk was on the phone with a future guest who was receiving A LOT of information about the hotel's amenities and he took over 20 minutes on the phone answering questions and making the reservation while I waited to check in. When it was my turn, he barely greeted me, took less than 5 minutes to check me in, take my credit card for incidentals, describe the layout of the hotel, and explain where the parking garage was located. After patiently waiting while he was on the phone for such a long time, I really expected to receive the same level of customer service that was bring provided on the phone. If he was going to take so little time to interact with me, it would have been appreciated if he would have asked the guest on the phone to hold while I got checked in. This was unacceptable and I was unimpressed. That being said, the property itself is quite nice. It's spacious, modern, quite, and located in downtown Topeka. My room was clean, however there were some water stains in the bathroom that made it look like it hadn't been cleaned and makes it feel and look dirty. Things to note - The parking garage is a confusing because it's not attached to the hotel. Additionally guests must park between levels 8-11. The garage has an elevator, but no matter where you park, you'll have to take the stairs at some point to get into the hotel. You also

Very unsafe for minorities, and they are not shy about it. We were harassed by the locals right in front of the hotel. Luckily, the lady that worked at the front desk supported us and made sure we were ok. I’ve never experienced this and won’t ever be coming back.

I chose Cyrus based off the positive reviews. I will confirm that the hotel is very clean and well maintained. If I have to travel to this area again for work, I will ONLY stay at the Cyrus Hotel.

Stayed here for a Mothers Day weekend getaway. Room was nice, clean and big enough for 2. We didn't get the best view but that's okay, will upgrade next time. They let us do early check in with no issues! Front desk was responsive and Cocktails delicious. My only cons were the AC unit is LOUD so it kept waking us up and they must have been short staffed in the morning because breakfast was SLOW. Took about 20 mins for service and no tables were clean, however breakfast was worth the wait!! Will stay again!!

The parking situation for downtown Topeka wasn't the best for an older female traveling alone & having to walk across a parking garage and down an alleyway to enter the. Backside of the hotel was nerve wracking. This hotel used to offer valet parking & is a main reason I chose to stay again. My stay was 2 nights & my room key quit the next day twice, which is an inconvienence. The highlight was the waitress at the restaurant. She was top knotch.

Paid to park-not a big deal for a downtown hotel. Was told the charge would be on my Expedia receipt, which it is not. Requested a printed receipt upon checkout and the staff said that there was no point because it would show a $0 charge. I need a receipt for reimbursement for work travel and now have to pay for parking myself. Attempted to call the restaurant from my room 3 times to order and finally just went down to order. Was told it would be 15 minutes for my carryout order and waited over 30 minutes for one sandwich and soup. Customer service is not up to standard for this hotel.

They have done a fantastic job with the Cyrus, and it is an amazing place to stay. It has a modern, luxury feel, along with nods to the history of Topeka throughout. I couldn't recommend it highly enough.

The hotel is clearly under construction. The worst thing is the constant industrial noose running all night. When I called the front desk, they asked if I wanted security. Clearly they know the property is not under code. Well, I guess I’ll go back to trying to sleep with an airplane motor running outside my window…

Beautiful hotel. Very clean. Upon arrival, we were given the wrong type of room. The hotel did give us the type of room we had booked initially but felt like they blamed the error on hotel.com. I wished they would have just said, sorry we made a mistake. The room with a sofa/suite did not have a sofa, only a chair.
