The fine dining at the Tavern was fantastic. Expensive, but the best 4 course I have e er had!

Exceeded my expectations!

We've stayed at the Inn several times in the past and we keep coming back because we consider it our getaway place. Our only ding is that the restaurant wasn't open during our visit. We were told that the restaurant is closed 2x per year for maintenance updates. That's a good reason and we understand. The staff were very good to us and the morning breakfast brought to our room was tasty, filling, and very much appreciated.
4.7
The staff was so helpful and kind. It really had a family like atmosphere. The rooms are great and the breakfast is the best I've had in a long time. Lots of great shops and dining options.

Amazing stay! Middleburg is adorable and our room number 9 was so charming. Breakfast delivered to the room was such a delicious and special touch! Would definitely love to return!

Great stay! One of the best places in Virginia!

Excellent location, great service, friendly staff. The property itself is a historic building and it has been perfectly maintained. It feels like you are tracking back in time.
Stay away from the Old Dominion room if you are taller than 5’8”. I also did not care much for the breakfast boxes.

A great place to spend a couple of days escaping big cities.

Love the breakfast delivered to the room.
However, room was extremelly small.

Beautiful historical hotel in an amazing little town. Staff are sweet and helpful. Great character hotel which we will recommend to friends and family. We will return!

We loved our one-night stay. The service was fantastic. We got an upgrade from our original room for a minor issue, but are grateful to you for that.
4.7
Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was just okay and served in a box in the room. Not the b&b experience I would expect. Especially for the price.

Love the bed and breakfast

Check in was delayed, because the clerk didn’t send the email. The room was very cold and then when we asked for heat ( during a snow storm) it became extremely hot and then the clerk/ attendant had left for the night. The shower did not get warm. Stated cold!!! Was told there was an event that evening and that sometimes occurs when there are several people showering at same time…

I can't wait to get back to the Red Fox Inn with my husband for a romantic weekend! I booked just one night as I was traveling for work this time.
The Inn is historic and quaint, and in the best location. The staff are very accommodating and friendly. The food at the pub was delicious too.
The location couldn't be better and the off street parking was a plus!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay immensely.

We were there for New Year’s weekend and our stay was wonderful. The property was beautiful and our room charming.
4.7
Staff is wonderful; appreciate your kindness and hospitality.
4.7
The Red Fox Inn is a wonderful place for a romantic weekend. The room is located in the heart of town, which made walking around easy. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The inn has an amazing restaurant to make the stay complete and memorable.
4.7
Amazing service and friendliness of the staff, and their attentiveness to my note that this was my husband's 75th birthday.
4.7
Stately historic tavern with good food and varied menu. Service painfully slow and seemed confused amongst themselves.
Guest Room 5 was very nice however the bathroom drains in the midsole if the tile floor were perplexing and seemed to vent lower floor plumbing?
4.7
We really enjoyed our stay at the Red Fox Inn. We just got married over the weekend and they surprised us with a bottle of champagne in our room. Only thing that tainted our stay slightly was the room was extremely warm. We turned down the AC to the lowest setting at 68 but were still sweating all night. Also, the apple tv would not load any movies/shows, seemed as if the ethernet connection wasn't strong to the apple tv. We had to watch off of my cell phone. Otherwise great stay.
4.7
Beautiful historic property. Beautifully maintained buildings and interiors. Excellent parking
4.7
Everything is definitely top shelf. We enjoyed the four-course game and seafood dinner. We added the wine pairings and that added so much to the dinner experience. The property itself receives A attention and it shows. Just the most delightful stay. Our only regret was we did not pay attention to private events at the inn. We would have loved to dine our second day at the tavern, but it was closed. The pub was like a painting, but something was going on and we couldn't partake in the atmosphere.

Wow! Gracious hospitality in a one of a kind property, well done!

Red Fox Inn is a unique quaint property with lovely and comfortable rooms, the absolute best staff and even had a wonderful bottle of champagne and cookies in our room to celebrate our anniversary. This is our favorite place for a quick weekend getaway from the city.

The complex had a cohesive look; landscaped areas were very thoughtful and attractive. Staff was so hospitable and welcoming. Breakfast delivered to our room was plentiful, fresh and delicious. The Inn is tasteful, understated and worth the splurge.
