It is very frustrating when a relatively expensive room has an incredibly cheap TV + badly maintained toilet + no biscuits for the in room coffee! The hotel could simply spend one night of room rate on some minor upgrades. I believe you can tell the state of the hotel by the standard of the in room TV!

Overall our stay at the Hoxton was pleasant. The location was convenient, within minutes of walk to the Blackfriars and Southwark underground stations. The room and the bathroom were clean. Quite unexpectedly we had the worst dinner at the hotel restaurant Albie over our 5 days trip in London. We ordered standard dishes: soup, salad, burger and ravioli, Not sure if the chef was absent that evening but none of the dishes came out right. I would give a 1 out of 5 star to Albie.

A roomy at the Hoxton Southwark isn’t roomy at all in my opinion. It’s a cool vibe and boutique hotel with the roof top bar/restaurant SeaBird adding a niche feel but need to update their sofa beds to something more comfortable and possibly a lick of paint here and there.

Comfortable, stylish hotel in a great location close to tube and train stations.
Friendly and professional staff.

The Hoxton Southwark in London is a stylish tribute to the 1940s, with every detail of its design carefully curated to reflect a timeless elegance. The hotel excels in service, with friendly and informal staff who make guests feel genuinely welcomed. The vibrant atmosphere in the lobby, complete with a lively bar and restaurant, is nothing short of fantastic—a great spot for relaxing or mingling.
The location is another plus, making it a convenient choice for exploring London. However, a notable downside is the breakfast offering. It is à la carte, overpriced, and disappointingly small in portion size—a poor value that detracts from an otherwise exceptional stay. A generous buffet would be a much better fit, aligning with the high standard of the rest of the hotel.
In summary, definitely stay at the Hoxton Southwark, but don’t waste your money on breakfast there!

Great location. Comfortable rooms. Service and food downstairs very disappointing.

Close to the Borough Market and Tate Modern. Good access to public transport. Beautifully decorated room. We would have liked it to be slightly bigger so that it would be easier to place our 2 big suitcases, or at least have a chest of draws to unpack our things.

Very chic modern hotel felt like home. The room had everything we needed and the location is perfect for dining options.

The Hoxton was the last hotel on our journey. We had been traveling for 2 weeks prior on business and it was the perfect place to stay for 3 nights to wrap up our trip. We will stay a Hoxton Hotel wherever they are offered. A+ on style, staff and comfort.

I enjoyed my stay at the Hoxton: Southwark — especially how walkable the location is, with easy access to Borough Market, Tate Modern, and Southbank. You can easily walk along the Thames to the London Eye / Big Ben, or go slightly farther to Covent Garden. Good tube access with both the Southwark and Waterloo stops, too. Highly recommend.

Wonderful to be within walking distance of the Thames and the center of London. The Hoxton was a lovely place from which to explore the city.

The reception team couldn’t find my booking during check in and had to wait for a long time as a result despite after pre booking long time ago. Restaurant service is also not very good and slow.

Loved the hotel. Great bar downstairs as well! Only isdue is calling Ubers/taxis because of the bike lane in front, they ask to meet down the street but it was a nice hotel.

This hotel is in a great location, you can easily walk to covent garden or catch a bus/tube. The room was lovely, comfy bed and a clean bathroom. There were also some nice places to eat and drink nearby.
The hair dryer and steamer were great too.
We had some drinks in both bars which were nice.

Really enjoyed my stay here! The hotel is beautiful and convenient, the staff is friendly and helpful. Love the convenience of scanning the QR code outside and upstairs in the mezzanine to order food and drinks. My room was clean, cozy and comfortable. I will miss having my morning cappuccino in the restaurant.

Our stay was great and we have stayed at the Houston in Brooklyn NYC last summer.
Both properties have the same boutique laid back vibe.
We appreciate the complimentary waters and milk for our coffees.
We were given complimentary drinks at the bar due to having been awoken by a noisy neighbour who disrupted our sleep at 1:30 am. This was a nice touch.
I will continue to be a loyal Hoxton guest.

Booked that place to see the city view but it was a construction view right in front of the hotel. Felt uncomfortable to look at men working on the construction every morning.
(It would have been nice if they told us at least on the desk when we check in)
Checked in. Our lock was broken, our phone was broken as well. Had to move another room.
Party almost every evening.
There was no lobby space for the hotel guests
Always cafe customers who booked for the table in advance for the restaurant or cafe. No table at least not a single chair for the hotel guest. Really unpleasant experience.
We booked 2 hotels in our London trip each hotel for 5 days.
One was just magical, one was unpleasant the whole time

love the Hoxton as it's easy to walk across the bridges into central london
cool vibes and relaxed living
the bar at the top is awesome in the sunshine and is well worth a visit
only drawback is that the bar closes earlier than other hotels which is a shame (11.30)
