The property was average. Plenty of choices for food at the different restaurants but the food quality was just average. The service was slow and most of the time friendly. Nice big gym shared with Hyatt Ziva.

I had bad moments, I called and ask to talk to the general manager, they said he’ll call me but he never did. Feedback is a gift, this hotel doesn’t want that gift.

I had high expectations that were just simply not met. Service was rather slow and deficient, specially at restaurants. The service in the pool area was good but not top quality. The pool itself was dirty with green mold, particularly by the wall where the DJ stands. I voiced my concern to a Staff member Bo was very understanding and offered to set up dinner for us. Noted that we were looking to eat lobsters. Made a reservation for us but the dinner was moved to the beach where it was mainly grill meat, no lobsters. On top of that some of the items being served ran out (bread being one of them). Food options at the buffet was rather basic. I was supposed to get a bottle of wine for each stay and a chef amenity tray, none were provided. Again, I had plenty of options to choose from but chose hotel for its alleged top quality but I did not receive that even though the hotel did not seem to be full. A check out I was told that someone would follow up with me, but have yet to be contacted.

This resort is beautiful. The entire property from top to bottom is kept very clean. The beach is beautiful, Soft sand, large area, never struggled to find a chair at beach or pool. We had the club upgrade & enjoyed the club pool & bar. We felt that the initial reception was lacking. We were brought to the club room & no one gave us informaiton, we sat for a bit,unsure as to what to do. Eventually a person from the desk handed us our keys. we had to ask if we could have a drink and where our room was...it was not a warm welcome. We liked the food at Waves & Tempest. The breakfast buffet was good too. Overall, the food taste was average at best. We were very impressed with the food manager who we met by chance, Urickz Lozano. He was attentive, kind, engaging and very passionate about his job! He deserves a raise. We felt all staff were respectful but many could not understand English. Going to the Ziva side was nice, but we had a hard time knowing what, when & where activities were happening. It would be good if there were more places with resort activies posted, than just an app. especially when wifi is spotty. Overall would give a 9 out of 10, the biggest drawback being that some of the staff pursued us relentlessly to either book the Blind Butcher dinner 150/person additional or to sit through a seminar for future bookings. Annoying when you have already paid a decent price & upgraded. frustrated that Expedia did not link us up with E ticket to enter DR.

First, don’t EVER use Expedia to book any of your vacation plans. The Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana was outstanding, the service staff make this facility worth returning to, not to mention eateries and cleanliness. But overall the service staff delivered over and over again meeting every expectation a guest could have

This resort did not feel like a 5 star resort. I went with 3 friends and we were constantly begging for someone to help us get drinks, we were constantly harassed about being club members although we reiterated every single morning we were, food was just barely ok and the room smelled like mildew the entire time. Really disappointing.

I am expedia gold and even tried to explain it to front desk they didn’t acknowledge any of my kind requests. I was forced to buy their club membership which was totally useless and my room still had no ocean view (partially could see some) Usually I do not have high expectations and try to be very humble,but generally DR will never have Mexico service and vibe.So if you want spend same money you will better go to Mexico to the same brand/type resort.

Perfect way to relax for a few days. The staff is beyond friendly, professional and helpful. Anthony at the Pier went above and beyond to provide everything we needed. George and Ravel at the pool bar were amazing. Highly recommend this resort. Will definitely come again.

I have stayed at the Hyatt Zilara in Cancun and found the amenities better. We were able to stay longer in the pool drinking and they would also provide daily bottles of alcohol to the room. The day before we left we were told about a premium bottle that was part of the club member status. At checkout we asked for the bottle. However, we were told that they could not provide the bottle because we should have ordered it to the room. What is the difference if it was the room or the lobby?? It was something we found out about the night before we left. Regardless it should have been given to us if it was part of the club level status.

This property is BEAUTIFUL! You are treated well the entire stay! They dont hassle you for anything! I would recommend to couples or families. Or even solo travelers. Cant wait to stay again. Slight negative note: Pools and hot tubs close at 7, which is way to early. Regardless, cant wait until you are #1 in the Carribean!! Should be anyday now!!

As our vacation started out. We were expecting a beautiful beach. One of the worst beaches we've ever gone too. Hospitality was at its worst. They were still operating as if it was covid in the buffet. Which held up customers in long wait lines. We could go on and on about this location. And have been to plenty of hyatt properties. Very discouraged about this property as we were excited about going. 😔
