Upon arrival, within office hours, there was no staff available and their kiosk wasn't working. I had to call and wait on someone to arrive. Check in after that was quick. I had room 11 which was right off the main street so was a bit noisy, also had noticed a hole in the wall near the A/C so that also let in the cool air. They had a humidifier in the room, but was noisy. No curtains so if light bothers you when you sleep, bring a mask. The room was nice and cozy, a living area and separate bedroom. Had a walk in shower, fridge, and microwave. Nice location, close to restaurants, gas station, convenient store. Would stay again, but would rather have a room further from the street.

Check in and out was done via a computer which was not responsive to concerns.

The property is very quaint and appealing. However the room was not very comfortable. The bed was way too high. I had to use a chair to get on it. A simple foot stool would have been nice. The room was a bit unique in its set up.

It was great with the exception as to no parking when we returned to the motel at 11pm. We had to park next door at Honey and wake up super early to move our vehicle so we would not get towed. Line parking spaces would be great as some vehicles took up multiple spaces. The water pressure in the shower could improve with a different shower head too.

I never expected the unique housing style that I stayed in...but loved it.!

Nice property with Unique Antique Interior Designed rooms.

Good location but that’s it. Automatic Kiosk was worthless and keys didn’t work.

Nicely kept. Right next to main street...noisy.

Place is perfect for an overnight stay. This is my second time here. Will be back next year

It was a very nice place. Well stocked rooms. Very nice and clean.

There was no personal customer service. Checked in through a kiosk. Had to go to kiosk and ask for towels and trash to be removed. Room not cleaned during stay. No what i expected for the price.

We were in town for a concert. The hotel rate was super reasonable and we were close to the venue :) room was clean, we had no complaints :)

It was a very spacious area

Funky remodel, floors sagged, refrigerator was very rusty, whole kitchen area looked like it was done by a 14 year old. No on site staffing.
Bed was clean and comfortable, unusually high though.

this Inn exceeded my expectations. it was very clean and the service was wonderful. It really shows that the bad reviews were false. i will for sure visit and stay here again!!!

Clean and friendly.

Room was just ok, not worth $180 for one night. Location is not close to activity. Completely poor check in process as they make you interact with a person over video. Many better options close to the action that have live staff.

The Inn was very, very clean and that is a huge quality when staying somewhere. The check-in was weird because it was a kiosk. I did not like my ID being scanned and I think we should have been aware of check-in process. No staff onsite and our Wi-Fi didn't work with password until an hour before we checked out. Great location, you can walk to get food, ABC store close and 711 right beside the inn. I loved the antique furniture. I will definitely come back.

Sufficient for an overnight visit.. the room had an air fryer!!

Well..... the place looks cute from the outside. When i walked into the office to register, the man kinda barked at me .."last name? ". I told him and he about the the keys at me. That was it. Nothing else. Ok.... moving on
Get into our room, there was a king bed, 3 big dressers in a row and no side tables. Old nasty looking chairs were beside the bed. Those were our only options of places to sit. Must hotels have some kind of other sitting. Oh well... moving on.
There were no curtains on the window. Only blinds that don't block any light. And there was a really bright lightning right outside. It was NEVER dark in the room. So hard to sleep.
And there was a weird cut out in ourv room, which i believe was the office. 11:30pm the owner was in there talking really really loud. We could hear every word. So annoying.
Check outc was even more impersonal. Had to use a kiosk to videochat with someone in a room that was about 100°.
Also... no smoke detector in the room. Can see the base plate where was was supposed to be.
The ac AND the dehumidifier both registered 63 decibels. Talk about loud! Holy moly!

One of my favorite places to stay in OBX. You get far more than what you pay for. The staff are very nice. It’s quiet and comfortable, my rooms have always been pristine (the cleaning lady who speaks only Spanish deserves a reward for her unsung hard work). I recommend this place to anyone.

Pros. Loved the room, it had antique furniture.
Cons. No one on site.Kiosk only, door key did not work, had to get a new one. Would not give me a 1st floor room. Had to walk over 15 steps to get to second floor (we're in our 70"s). Would not recommend.

Location was very good. Roanoke Island is historical.
A lack of check-in and room issues on-site manager made that a little difficult. The “cleaning lady” was very helpful though, and took care of a minor issue.

Absolutely the worst check in experience I have ever had. An employee directed us to a kiosk where we checked in via video chat with an operator in India/Mexico/Nebraska/who-knows? Their English was possibly ok, but the sketchy audio of the chat led to a lot of "I have no idea what you said". on my end.
Had the room not been prepaid and non-refundable I would have walked out and found another place to stay.
After that, the rooms were ok, though inconsistent. I had booked 2 rooms, one of which was light and airy, the other a dark dungeon.
I will never stay here again, and would not recommend it to anyone.

This was a great hotel for the price. The room was large, clean, and the area is nice. And that shower was amazing! Would definitely stay again.

I was very pleasantly surprised at this property. Very clean and tastefully decorated. The patio furniture outside of the room was of very good quality and very comfortable. We spent much of the evening hanging out outside the room in these chairs. Someone has put some thought into the little details and it shows. I also loved the location. I would not hesitate to recommend this place and hope to return in the future .

It took 4 tries for me to get checked in on the Kios. It was hard to sleep because the air condition unit was so loud in the room. There were to many lights on outside and the blinds could not block the light. It was like trying to sleep with the lights on inside. I have crossed it off for a place to stay in the future.

This place was so quaint and beautiful. I loved the antique furniture and easy access toiletries. The only issue that my fiance' and I had was the lack of a face to face person at check in. The fact that the only way to check in and out was via a "zoom" meeting with a nice person who had a thick accent that was difficult to understand anyway and it was made worse with glitches in the video. I had to ask several times for the person to repeat themselves. It felt very impersonal and I do not recommend this hotel continue to use this.

The hotel has no on-site staff (except maids). Guests check in via a kiosk manned by personnel in The Philippines. The audio on the kiosk was not working properly. Our coffee machine didn't function and no one answered our phone calls when we called to complain. I wonder what would happen if there had been a serious problem such as a leak. A truly horrible hotel. Stay away.

I was there to charter a boat to go fishing, so it served my purpose. My only complaint was nobody on the premise to provide or remedy a 9 volt battery for the chirping smoke detector.

This hotel is a great value. The room was spotless. Check in was a little interesting, a note in the lobby said to call a phone number for check in. The first attempt to call went to voicemail. But about 5 minutes later I was able to get a hold of someone and check in. I’ve stayed here for years, I hope this place can stay as good as it was in the past, even if I had to pay 20% more I would to keep this place as an option.

The property differed from the advertising. For the price it’s enough space and amenities. I wasn’t looking for much just to lay my head down for a night. The part that needed some attention was the AC unit and dehumidifier needing the mold cleaned out. Additionally, the room has been smoked in and filtered into the AC unit and dehumidifier. This left my clothes and myself smelling horrible after the visit. Room number 4 specifically.

Awesome! Will stay again!

We couldn’t stay. The rooms were despicable. Nothing like the discription. We booked two rooms for a wedding in the area. Thank god we were able to find a room in another town but it was 30 minutes away from where we wanted to be. So we were scammed out of our money. This place needs to be taken off these websites.

Got there the light was flickering. Addressed the issue to management. Someone did check it out but it was never fixed.

Although I liked everything about the property;.I DIDN'T LIKE the fact that, when I returned to my room, the door was WIDE OPEN!!!! Apparently workers had been in my room??!! They left a pair of pliers on the sink. No one came back to close the door or get their tool for at least 20 minutes.
Although the manager was apologetic; the fact is that anyone could have walked into my room and taken all my things!!!!
It left a bad taste!

Only real issues the beds sit so damn high the TV's never really work

Rooms were big, the beds and furniture are unique pieces check in was done over the phone so it’s quick but you lose that personal touch, but overall for the money the place is good, it’s not a glorious stay and parking can be difficult but for what they’ve got they make it work
1.0
No employees on site. Room keys left in an unsecured drawer. Room was dirty. Bed comforter not clean. No vacuum marks on the carpet. Dusty. Black mold in the grout of the bathroom shower. Unusable toilet, tank components disassembled and water turned off. Did not stay in the room and had to find other accommodations.
