Great location but small rooms with single glass windows means there is no way to get a good night sleep

I was impressed by the room but the unfinished salad in the wardrobe by presumable the last guest shouws that the cleaners let the hotel down. Also the toilet wad not clean.
I have a photo of the salad but it wont let me upload.

The room was very spacious but had lost of damage done to it. There were stains on the wall and the paintwork not done correctly. There was sains on the glass table. There was also one plug socket that was
not painted around and could see the electrics. Also the flusher for
the toilet was smashed. There was marks on the Bathroom Mirror and
grime around the Shower. The Kettle had a build up of limescale within it. The bed was poorly made as there were multiple creases on one side of the bed as if someone just stopped laying in it.
My stay there was for business and there was a power cut in the room making me miss multiple important meetings. I raised this with the dtaff and they got back to me 7 hours later. The power cut lasted 4
hours. I tried to get the attention of someone at the front desk and
no one was there. Not the first time as on check in there was no one
at the front desk and left me waiting for 30 minuets. I get people can be busy but none of the other staff recognised that I was standing
there. In addition to this they had no black pens to do a sign in
signature.
I had the do not disturb sign on the door as I was working. This was
ignored by staff and they started banging on the door and trying to
force an entry. There was no need to have a forced entry to my room as there were no questions of wellbeing. Upon opening the door this was when they apologised for the power cut.

This hotel is nothing like as described
Had to get into a dirty lift to get to reception
No one there to check in
Had to call a mobile number to check in
The reception and corridors were dirty
Random people just mulling around the hotel
And I didn’t even go back to sleep there
So £125 wasted
And I booked into another hotel
AVOID at all costs

This hotel is definitely not a 4 star! it is nothing like the pictures. It is run down, unclean and tatty. We asked for a refund and left immediately.

It is ok.

Worst stay so far, the room was filthy with doffdremt strands of hair littered across tbe floor and bedding. Upon initially accessing the room, it had a strong stench of smoke. My room was also accessed in my absence amd it was not for room service. I checked in, had a look at the room. Went to get my partner and bags. The "do not disturb" sign was on the floor. Baring in mind i left it on the handle in the inside of the room, why was it outside on the floor? Staff could not explain this. Overall felt unkept and unsafe. We had to book another hotel for the nigt.

A/con wouldn’t work and on further looking, the filter was disgusting! Room was very small

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in…walls like paper and floor boards no words!! No sleep because of hearing everything a couple was doing in the next room!!!

Booked the “deluxe suite”
Upon arrival there was a vile smell in the room, the rug was damp and the shower was leaking
When we woke up the next day we discovered the bed had collapsed beneath us, there was a dead pigeon hanging from the window and the rug was soaked in piss
Please avoid at all costs. The price is too good for a reason

Absolutely loved my stay here, bed was extremely comfortable, felt like home from home. The car park was literally around the corner, great to see the price for £6 over night cheapest in the whole city by far with 24 hour access.

Death Moth in my bed on arrival along with some long hairs. Tv did not work. Bit of a dump hole to be honest.

Very basic hotel. Only one way in: via a lift. Stairs back out.
Lots of commotion and police were in the hotel on the night of my stay.

Staff were lovely, the room was very nice although the "soundproofing" wasn't very soundproof.
I would certainly stay again 👍

If all you need is a bed after a night on the lash like us then this place is great and I would stay again. If you're looking for a nice hotel for a romantic getaway then it's not.
Positives - Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Great location for city access. Discount on public parking fee. Comfy bed. Good shower. Mini fridge in room.
Negatives - Strong smell of cannabis in and around the hotel. Not sure if some of the rooms are residential instead of hotel rooms. Our room looked a bit worn. Could do with freshening with paint, new curtains etc. General cleanliness was OK, however room could do with a deep clean. Under the bed was dirty. Toilet wasn't the cleanest. Window nets were starting to go mouldy. No tea or coffee facilities in room.

Paid 75 pound for a Saturday night stay, and was interested to see what we got with all the mixed reviews.
We had the economy room with queen bed, it was at the front 2nd floor just above the taxi rank. The space was tight but had smaller, the bed and shower were both wonderful, only thing missing was tea and coffee in the room. The roof top bar was quite something too.
I decided to have a deeper look at things because of the mixed reviews, yes I found some dust, a little mould and we had a brown burn on a towel, but we only found it because I went looking for it. I would never have noticed it otherwise, I have stayed in much worse hotels.
Seriously if you want 5* book a Radisson or something, and get real, this hotel was great for the price.
The best thing about this hotel is it's position bang in the centre and the 6 pound 24 hour parking in the high cross car park shouldn't be overlooked either, bargain!
It has a wetherspoons seconds away for breakfast too. We expected to have noise due to the taxi rank and it being Saturday night, but we honestly didn't hear anything and the wife is a very light sleeper.
If you want to be right in the centre of town this hotels location for the bars is as good as any, it's probably more 3 star than 5, and if you take 6 pound parking in central Leicester in to account, this price probably can't be beat.
If you want 5 star sorry your going to have to pay more somewhere else for that.

Taxi rank right below the hotel with loud noise until the early hours. Night club/bar next door again with loud noise until the early hours.

We had a room at the back which was very quiet but I believe the ones at the front you can hear noise from the road.
The manager was extremely accommodating.

Great central location in Leicester. Clean and modren hotel. Only negative was the pillows were very uncomfortable. We would stay again (just take our own pillows)

I had a very good experience at this hotel. It was a beautiful room and I didn't experience any of the negative stuff someone else has written - someone out there is being a bit of a ***** to post all that nonsense! The hotel was clean, the room was perfect, the staff were really helpful and I will definitely be staying here again.

The hotel room was dirty and full of mould. I paid for an executive room, the only thing different was it was slightly bigger than the standard, which my daughter stayed in.
Instructions were unclear for car park and was instructed different instructions by three different members of staff, which resulted in us paying £24 for parking for one night, rather than the £6 stated.
On arrival to Leicester we got a little confused whether we should drive down the road which states ‘just for lorries’. I called the number for hotel. It doesn’t work.
No one was available at desk on arrival.
£85 for a night in an unclean room that had nearly a full beard from the last guests face in the sink. Mould on windows and in bathroom. Among other things, there was no hair straighteners as stated, plug sockets didn’t work, no soap left in shower, half a toilet paper for us.
The good points! The tv worked so did Netflix.
Would not recommend!.

Sorry, tired and smelly, takes a lot for me to complain normally I just get on with it, but this place is a joke. Reception is on the top floor, the lift takes on average 5 minutes to take you from the ground floor to level 3…. Then you have to wait an age for it to come back once you’re checked in. My room was supposed to be deluxe, it had no working heating, it absolutely stank, it was a mixture of drain and chucking paint at some battered old mouldy walls, the flooring was mucky, the shower head looked like it hadn’t been cleaned since ww2 and it did make me wonder if I would survive the ordeal. You should never feel muckier coming out of a shower than when you first went in it. One good point was the TV, someone who had previously been subject to that room left their Netflix logged in… cheers. They have tried to make an effort with redecorating but you shouldn’t roll a turd in glitter.

The hotel is in a great location for access to everything related to King Richard III. However, reception was unattended at 1pm and multiple phone calls were not answered. Our room, which had a balcony and city view, was tired and in need of several Basic repairs. I would not recommend it to those who are expecting luxury accommodation - as described on their website.

Not happy with this hotel we did not stay due to giving us a room that stank and not the room we booked online so they quickly upgraded us just to have the same issue we didnt end up staying in this hotel now they are refusing a refund after not staying or using the facilities poor hotel would not recommend

Great city centre location hotel, clean, quaint, friendly staff, other than a blown bulb on arrival to room we couldn't fault it, perfect for a one night or weekend stay in Leicester

Avoid this Hotel!!!
Mouldy stained pillows, the room was was not clean and the drain in the bathroom was blocked. Mouldy stained pillows is just not acceptable!!!!!!!!
Contacted the hotel to share my experience and after ignoring me for few weeks , they told me there is nothing they can do about it.

The websites describe this as a four star hotel and I can't see how that is. There are some terrible reviews that we only saw after we'd booked but we actually had a very pleasant time there, over two nights. Good location.
Good big bed too, slept well, not much noise even with the lift right next door to us. We were at the back, with a view of a bare brick wall, away from the weekend post-pub stuff out front. Weird square cushions instead of pillows.
There were two safes in the room, neither of which worked, a fridge that worked well but had nothing in it, and a kettle but no coffee sachets supplied.
Lots of storage space that we didn't really need and the room was spacious, with a good big bathroom off. Good shower.
It was average. Next time, we'll find somewhere above average, that's better value for the money.

Booked a deluxe room with king bed and city view with balcony but was given room on second floor looking out at a Wetherspoons pub when I showed the reception the pictures on hotels.com of the room I had booked the reception said I don’t allocate the rooms tea and coffee was pathetic so had to go to reception to ask for them went to wash and sink was blocked off to reception again and the receptionist said she would sort it out which she did personally as she was the only staff member on duty

Loved the room, however the fragrance in the ac was a tad strong. Noisy pub across the street into the wee hours was not ideal but great location for central Leicester.

There was no blind in the bathroom in room 14 which meant you could clearly be viewed in the shower from another overlooking room. Room.was too warm and air conditioning comtroller wouldnt work.

Second trip here. This time I chose a smaller room. Pictures showed a kettle but none in the room. Spoke to staff but they couldn't accommodate at all I asked to speak to a manager which she said she would pass on but nothing came from that.
Other issue's were the bed was made but inside out (so was pillow) and a strong smell of cigarette smoke in the bathroom. Not sure where it was coming from as no window. Overall disappointed with lack of interest by the management and although they have nos cganged the eordjng tk show no tea/coffee in that room, the photo still shows it which is therefore misleading and untrue

Absolutely amazing room really pleased and loved the little jouned seating area

Very good location for city centre
Staff extremely helpful
Room was a good size with comfy bed
Decor is a little tired but that is not a complaint, it did not affect our stay at all
facilties were good

Stayed only 1 night. Bearing in mind that I booked a Deluxe room… The room was dirty, bathroom unwashed. Dust and staines everywhere in the room on carpet, walls, light switches, desk, side tables. I moved the side table to reach the plugs on the wall… well I wish I didn’t! So dirty. The coffee tray was filthy.
The hair dryer was lethal! dirty and visibly broken and making an awful noise when I tried to turn it on. I obviously turned it off straight away. I felt like it was going to blow in my face.
Not a great experience. Would not recommend and certainly will not return!

Booked a room with a king bed, on arrival it was a room with a double bed went to reception and was told I could have a refund.
There was no time to book a other hotel. We ended up staying. Room was dusty, lights bulbs needed replacing. This hotel is not worth the price. Won't be staying there again.
