Real bargain and perfect location

The hostal is perfectly located just inside the medieval city walls and 2 minutes from the attractive, lively plaza. The hotel is very reasonably priced, so the room is more than adequate with a large double window looking onto the walls, hot shower with a good flow. The heating in the tool worked well too. The service was very friendly and helpful. They allowed us to park our car in front and they allowed our ancient dog to stay free. We thought the hotel is a real fond.

For thé price there is really nothing to complain about. Of course the furnishings are a bit outdated but the basics are all there. The location and service more than make up for it! Slight problem can be finding parking I’d the front space is full. But we found good parking 5 mins away just outside the city walls.

The staff was very friendly and good location - there are three parking spots in front of the hostel.

You can hear everything from your room: the neighbours and noise from the street.

Basic, relatively comfortable but noisy

Centrally located, I could park my motorcycle right outside the door, easy check in, bed was pretty comfortable

The building smelled of cigarette smoke throughout, if you want a nights sleep then make sure to bring ear plugs, you can hear a pin drop in adjacent rooms. Shower was feeble and could do with a refresh.

A very nice stay!

The location is good, close to the old town, easy walking around the city. The staff was very nice and helpful. If you come by a car, it is not too difficult to park your car outside the city wall, then walk about 8-10 minutes to the hostal.

The bed wasn't very comfortable.

Great central location in this pleasant town.

Excellent location just inside the city walls and only 2 minutes from the Plaza Mayor for its cafes, bars and restaurants. Room tight but OK for a few nights stay - third bed was useful for storage of bags. Fantastic hot shower.

The parking problem has been mentioned but we were lucky and managed to find places a couple of minutes walk away on the three occasions we needed to.

Cheap, good location in the old town. Strong hot shower.

Walls so thin you could hear everything from the next room. Perhaps so signs to ask customer to keep quiet would help. An extra blanket would be useful.

Good location, clean basic room, lack of noise insulation.

Location, parking, room size, cleanliness, reception.

Noise insulation between rooms was non-existent. Nowhere to securely leave key when checking out before reception desk open.

Excellent value for money with very helpful owner

The breakfast was adequate but it was a lovely surprise to have freshly squeezed orange juice,

The bedroom walls are thin so you hear noise from others leaving their rooms. Also on the day we stayed, we belive there was an early morning rubbish collection or it could have been a builder's dumper truck which woke us up!

Excellent value for money. Very sweet hosts.

Hosts are very sweet and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Location is quite convenient, a few yards away from the main plaza. You can have breakfast for a very cheap extra. Excellent value for money. I certainly would certainly return to this place.

Wi-Fi quality was uneven. Signal sometimes dropped.

Very friendly, comfortable and quiet, in an ideal location.

Located within the city walls, therefore very atmospheric, and close to the main square, historical buildings, shops and cafes. The hotel is exactly as described on the internet - a very comfortable and quiet no-frills hotel (but what would you expect for only £100 for 3 nights in a nice city?). No breakfast available, but loads of cafes very close. The best thing about this hotel is the landlady. She recommended a 'local' restaurant that we would never have found otherwise (which turned out to be a gem). She also knows her way her round the 'La Vera' and Jerte valleys, so we had a fantastic day out based on her recommendations.
