A great location, very beautiful outlook and close to Watervale eating spots. Kerry was lovely to deal with and the cottage was loaded up with local supplies including freshly baked bread.

Magical place to stay for a little getaway. The environment was very peaceful and charming. The breakfast foods we were left were incredible (including homemade bread!) and made for lovely weekend mornings, sitting outside with a coffee and delicious home-cooked brekkie. Kerry was lovely and easy to contact. Would recommend.

Our cottage was a total delight. Very comfortable with plenty of local produce generously provided to guests.
Scrupulously clean, skillfully decorated; located in a quiet rural valley not far from Watervale.
We'll certainly be back when in the Clare.

The cottage location was quiet and picturesque, set amidst the trees and gardens of the property, with lavender bushes at the door and grapevines framing the little patio. Inside was very well appointed with many, extra touches that made our stay so comfortable. Very comfortable bed with quality linen, period furnishings in lounge and bedroom and an unexpectedly huge array of breakfast ingredients including home baked bread, cereals, yoghurt, juice, fruit, eggs, bacon, spreads and more. A welcoming bottle of wine and cheeses awaited us on arrival. Outside, the private patio and communal BBQ area were both sunny spots to watch the birdlife. There was so much attention to detail that it was easy to see that the owners really care about their guests' comfort.
So much thought had gone into making our stay pleasant and memorable time - there was nothing to not like.

I loved this little slice of paradise. It was full of all the amenities I needed and all the extra homely touches made my partner and I so comfortable.
The owner is a lovely lady who has really thought about your comfort and the choices of breakfast and the sourcing of local produce is amazing.
Thankyou so much Kerry. We will be back and telling everyone about this place!
From putting your own chickens to work for fresh eggs. To the thoughtful products and s.a. made bathroom toiletries. I was so impressed by the smaller touches.
It was quiet and relaxing and genuinely a lovely stay amongst the hills.

This is a boutique option for a stay in the Clare Valley. Located about a 2-minute drive from Watervale and a 15-minute drive from Clare, you’ll be staying in a with stone cottage on a country property. The grounds are beautiful, and the cottage is comfortable with a kitchenette/lounge/dining room and bathroom! Kerry is a wonderful hostess and stocks the cottage with ample breakfast provisions (fresh fruit, organic muesli, bread, a selection of jams, honey, yoghurt, bacon, eggs, tomatoes and mushrooms) and gourmet snacks. We arrived to find a bottle of Riesling in the fridge, cheese, crackers, pate and olives – this was a wonderful touch. We really appreciated the gas BBQ because there is a fabulous butcher in nearby Clare. We stayed in the Kookaburra Cottage. The space didn’t work that well for us because we are on a long road trip with lot of luggage, but this is a lovely option for a weekend treat!

After a warm welcome from Kerry we discovered the our cozy cottage was a treasure trove of gourmet treats. The two bedroom cottage wasn't huge, but on a chilly autumn night with the fire going it was a wonderful place to stay in the Clare Valley.
The cottage surprisingly wasn't stand alone, but one of a group of four. The access was quite narrow to get our luggage in, although we did appreciate the trolley supplied to do so.

Fabulous setting, surrounded by trees, sounds of birds, fresh air, lavender hedge after rain. Local kangas a delight.
Provisions for breakfast were more than adequate. Mushrooms, eggs, jams and fresh bread especially appreciated. Coffee maker was a bonus.
Furniture and furnishings amazing.
Parrot cottage has the best view! Wish we could have stayed longer!
Seats of dining chairs not all that comfortable.
Gravel path not friendly for trolley cases.

From the warm welcome, to the beautiful homely touches in our cabin, I could not flaw our stay. Kerry went above and beyond any other host I've stayed with and it really did make our stay all the more special as a result. The cottage was pristine and full of local fresh goods like cheese, wine, chocolates, preservatives, eggs, bacon, veggies, fresh bread, milk, the list goes on. She has taken the time to really consider what it would take to make a cottage stay 5 star and I will give her that rating as a result.
The setting in farmland makes a tranquil backdrop for these cottages, and I can say I've never enjoyed sitting with a cup of tea and listening to the birds chatter amongst the gentle sway of the eucalyptus trees so much. I will most certainly be back for another visit.

We stayed in the Galah cottage which was great for 2 people. The cottage was spotlessly clean and the bed was so comfortable - best I've slept in. Kerry has thought of everything you may need during your stay, including an excellent breakfast. The location is great - a few minutes drive from local restaurants and wineries. The walk up behind the property gives beautiful views of the area and at night, the stars are amazing.

Highly recommend Battunga Cottages. Such a lovely, peaceful spot and our cottage was extremely comfy and well appointed. Kerry greeted us with a loaf of fresh bread and gave us information about the area when we arrived. Breakfast provisions are plentiful and we enjoyed and appreciated the nibbles Kerry also supplied. It was wonderful to sample a range of quality South Australian produce. The bed was very comfortable and linens were lovely quality. Recommend a visit to the Watervale Hotel for a meal too.

We love staying at Battunga Cottages it's the second time we have and it is great, good location great facilities. This time we took our bikes and rode the Reisling Trial to Clare and back it was very nice. We stopped in Clare for lunch and rode back stopping at the Crabtree Winery for a drink. Very nice wines would recommend you stop there very quaint little winery. We had dinner at the Magpie and Stump at Mintaro excellent food great service would go again for sure. We will stay at Battunga Cottages again in 2023.
I honestly can't think of anything we would change it's just nice.

Absolutely fantastic stay! Great peaceful location. We were given fresh baked bread on arrival and the cottage was loaded with food for the stay, plus a bottle of wine in the fridge.
I have already recommended Battunga to family and friends.
It far exceeded what was expected.

What a great place to stay. We had a wonderful time there. Kerry met us on arrival with a fresh home baked loaf of bread for us. On the table was a nice cold bottle of local Reisling along with pate, cheese and biscuits. (All Sth Australian local produce) Breakfast was supplied as part of your stay and that saw the fridge stocked with eggs bacon and both full cream and light milk. Kerry also will provide other breakfast needs as well. Various cereal is also provided along with coffee and tea. I could go on forever. The cottage itself is cozy and the bed and pillows are of high quality. A clean well stocked bathroom just made our stay all that easier. As for the gardens and wildlife you just need to sit on your veranda and watch as the birds and Kangaroo move around. A Lovely private stay with so much to see and do in the Clare Valley. We highly recommend it.
We couldn't find fault in the cottage as Kerry and Mark seem to have thought of everything that you need for a comfortable stay in a B&B.
