garage to store the motorcycles
the party with very loud dance music that went on directly underneath our room until 2am.
No warning when we booked or checked in. We’d had a very long day with an early start the following morning, otherwise, we’d have joined the party.

Pleasant surroundings and a good restaurant make up for the old-fashioned bedrooms. An excellent breakfast buffet is an added bonus.
Our room overlooked the road and there were traffic noises from early in the morning. The rooms on the side of the building are much quieter (as we know from many previous visits). Our room was spartan but the bed was comfortable.

The family suite was a great set up for us, 2 former rooms connected, nice view. This is in a beautiful part of France.
Overall the hotel is good value but there are some issues to address - the door to the bathroom did not close at all.

I was not able to enjoy the place as much as I could but it was a nice location !
I have been there before and I am coming back !

Hotel is undergoing refurbishment off-season and I was the sole guest. Pretty dismal atmosphere as dining room was closed in the evening.
bedroom was spartan but clean

The set menu was reasonably tasty and price ok.
I have virtually never written a review of a hotel despite travelling through around 70 countries and 1000s of hotels. However this place is so bad it merits it. The hotel's internet blatantly did not work and it was clear hadn't worked for a long-time. Displayed passwords were wrong since even when input by staff didn't work. Eventually the staff admitted their server needed a technician although this also seemed unlikely to be true - there was another signal available for staff that the hotel refussed to give the password for. Payment was similarly comical. I witnessed on the day I arrived a customer try to pay by credit card, but after multiple attempts they were forced to pay by check, blame being put on their card by the hotel but it was blatantly their card machine and an attempt to avoid paying commission on credit cards and get cash. Two days later exactly the same problem occured for us and was told it was my card, then the machine, again forcing payment in cash. Waiting times also were a problem. We arrived at 6.30pm to find a man in the restaurant who told us he would get a receptionist. 10 minutes later no one arrived until we started knocking on lots of doors till we found someone. Dinner also was a festival of waits, around 15 mins to get the menu, 15 mins for the first course, 40 mins for the main. It would have all been comical if not rather annoying with both the internet and credit card machines being blatant attempts by the hotel to keep costs down.

Close to railway station and to nice hiking trails
Swimming pool, sauna and restaurant all closed during my stay with no information about the closure on the booking ad or in their confirmation email. False advertising! The shower in the room is ridiculously tiny

The staff were nice and the restaurant is open late and has good food and wine.
The hotel is very humid and quite ran down. The hallways smell a bit, but the room itself was clean enough. It is still a bit expensive for what is offered.

Nice welcome and very good service. The building is old but upcoming works should bring it up to date soon. The young team is what makes this place! Excellent local food

The staff was super friendly and the hotel is in a lovely area with lots of beautiful nature. But if you don’t speak drench, remember something to help you translate, as the staff doesn’t speak a word English, but they will do everything they can to try and understand!
There were spider web hanging from the ceiling but other wise it was nice. It is possible to order dinner and breakfast in the restaurant, but compared to the price, it could have been better. The selection at the morning buffet was very disappointing
