Kleine kamer

Location, activities and staff and almost breakfast was very good
A lot of noise during the night, very expensive activities, and also during the night the light right at out window to sleep is unpleasant but hey we make do

Very friendly and helpful host. Close to town and convenient for Cloud Fores.

The Lady at the reception was extremely nice and helpful :)

Rooms are comfortable and cute. There is a balcony overlooking some wooded area. It is very relaxing to sit and listen to the rain. Close to Monteverde downtown and supermarket. Breakfast was delicious and the breakfast nook was so cute to enjoy coffee in the morning. Warm blankets are provided because Monteverde can get very cold. Would stay again!
The bathroom is a little small.

The owners and staff was very kind and helped with booking tours as well. Very nice kitchen-lounge area, the room itself was also very comfortable. Recommended accomodation.

beautiful location near city center
not very soundproof room but definitely good price quality balance

The breakfast was okay, and the fact that they provide free coffee is nice.
I should have researched further, but I booked this room thinking it was a Bed & Breakfast. Turns out it's a hostel, which Booking.com does not indicate during the reservation process. I reserved for two nights but checked out after one night (no A/C, no fan, no hot water, very noisy traffic on the nearby street all night long.

Communal area and breakfast in price
Only one electrical socket in room. Could not use clap

Everyone was so welcoming, friendly and helpful. it was colorful, full of plants, and very welcoming. I really, really enjoyed the coffee tour and would highly recommend it. The location was great- close to everything. I would definitely come back.
My neighbors were very loud so I had a hard time sleeping, but this is not anything against the property. The road nearby can be noisy with passing traffic- not really a problem but for light sleepers, it might be something to keep in mind. Everything else more than made up for this for me!

Comfortable, clean cabin with plenty of space and a large comfortable bed. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a couple of dinners, and oil, salt, pepper and coffee were all provided. Quiet spot, a bit out of town with a great view of the volcano, when it’s not in the cloud. Probably best to have a car, but we managed without one getting a couple for Ubers and walking to places like La Fortuna Waterfall.

Wonderful and helpful owners, hardworking staff, all very friendly. Very tasty and filling breakfast. Fully equipped kitchen to make your own meals. Strong, reliable internet. Location is close to everything.
Bed way to firm. Raised sections of floor in the room (no. 2). Watch your toes at night - ouch!

great location in downtown santa elena. walking distance from restaurants, supermarkets, shops. very cozy common area and homemade breakfast ever morning. hosts were very nice and helpful with transfers and tours!

Very good location. Parking across the street. Shared facilities for cooking and dining. Close to a supermarket, rotisserie, cafes and restaurants around the main square.
The room is small, but you will be outside most of the time. There are couches in the common areas in case you want to read or check your mail. No TV (assuming that you really want one).

Disingenuous, liars. con artist and genuinely awful. there is a standard con not providing prepaid breakfast and if you ask for a refund then you might get given a peanut butter sandwich if you’re lucky. no alternative if your allergic to nuts.
lumpy beds, no hot water!!!
reception will mis-sell birdwatching tours and over charge. despite being up at 6:30 getting a 7:00 shuttle we then had to wait an hour and a half at the park for the guide until after 9:20. the tour the turned out to be useless and despite carrying a telescope the guide did not wish to try and focus on any birds stating they move to much.
also having asked 3 times to ensure the tour was in English of course ended up with a Spanish tour. completely disingenuous of the receptionist since I’d been very specific of wanting an English speaking bird watching tour.
Stear well clear

Well situated for our purposes with warm and welcoming hospitality. Best value of our week+ travel in Costa Rica. Enjoyed the area immensely, and Cabinas El Pueblo provided everything necessary to rest well and be ready for the next day's adventure.
I didn't like my cold shower the 1st night, but finally figured out how the instant heater worked. No problem after that. Most problems I had were simply because I didn't know something that a question would have resolved.

Marleny is an exceptional host/manager, extremely helpful and always ready to help. The rest of the staff was friendly and helpful as well. Fantastic location, as it is just a few steps from the town centre.
The description said that there is a terrace. However, it is more like a bit living room. The windows are oriented to the living room. The room is dark, and it's impossible to get fresh air. I guess it means we should spend more time outside as the nature is absolutely stunning in (and around) Monteverde

The lady at the reception is very friendly and willing to help. we had to leave very early to get our bus, so we missed our breakfast, instead she created a lunch bag with many fruits and cookies.
The room was a bit small had no windows to the outside, which made it a bit dark. And be aware of any bugs or spiders when you are there. You are in the jungle!

Good location and very friendly staff
Room was small and without windows to the outside. Felt a bit like a rabbit hole. Uncomfortable beds

Very close to town with supermarket, restaurants and coffee shops. Nice kitchen with a cozy sitting area. Smiling and helpful staff at the desk. Free coffee to make.
The hotel is positioned low in terrain close to a small river. The air never really dries up and is very humid even when it's not raining. Some noise from cars passing by.

El Pueblo was in the perfect location for us to find activities to do and places to eat. Marleny was super helpful and very sweet. We felt super comfortable here and would recommend it. The breakfast was delicious!
Like all places to stay in Monteverde, this property is right on the road so it can be a bit noisy. It was never a problem for us though because we fell asleep exhausted every night.
