The food was a gastronomic delight and always well prepared. Overall the facility was fantastic, especially the garden area which was extremely beautiful, well-appointed, and serene. And the staff was great, very professional, and accommodating. They went above and beyond to bridge any language barriers and made notes to make certain I received any assistance I might need even between shifts. The rooms were relatively soundproof. I was directly over the spa area and only occasionally hear a muted laugh from the area below. The sound I did enjoy was the melodic sound of birds in the morning because it was in a forested area. The bathroom was phenomenal! The soaking tub connected to the hot springs over which the hotel was built. It was deep, relaxing, and long enough to float in, and had automatic privacy shades. The bidet was top-rate! The darkening shades on the window worked perfectly! Very large room. Didn't want to leave!
My stay was too short!

The public and in-room onsen facilities were great
Water pressure in the shower was way too weak. Soundproofing in the room was also really bad, had to call the front desk to get the guests next door to tone it down after midnight

The location was easy to find , it's near the 望高寮night view. It's a good place for family to have a holiday here
while the breakfast was not that good&diversity but still ok!

2.5
The room is very nice , you can take a hot springs with the city view.
We came to enjoy the time in hotel with our 6year old daughter, everything was very nice, stuff friendly facility with pool and spa very nice view in the room, and in general nice environment for family with the kids. BUT then next morning when we supposed to enjoy our breakfast in 5star hotel, our daughter had a cockroach in her cornflakes floating in the milk. It was the first thing she tried and since that moment she was so shocked that she didn't want to eat anything else and only repeating its so dirty here I don't want to eat. First after the complaint they just bring new bowl of cereal and later brought a little cake for our daughter, after escalating complaints the hotel returned the fee for the breakfast- to be honest the breakfast was not worth 5* very limited and not tasty.

There was certainly a lot to do at Freshfields, with great facilities and a fairly modern feel to the place. The rooms were decent and comfortable with only minor distractions at night, it was definitely somewhere that we would return to stay!
The breakfast was just ok! Nothing to shout about, but sill decent...
