Briana was extremely helpful. She was patient as we switched rooms twice--the first due to cigarette smell and empty shampoo and soap bottles. The second room had 2 beds (not ideal for an anniversary trip :) ) but the 3rd room was perfect!
We made sure to thank her for accommodating us.
The breakfast was one of the best we've had in a while in a hotel.
Thank you

This property is very dated. Beds are small and not comfortable. Decor is old. Mattress cover was dirty just really outdated hotel.

Lobby was nice and seemed clean. The room seemed a little dated and not well maintained. We had to call down for linens for the pullout bed and were delivered linens that were damp. A second call to request dry linens didn’t produce any results for nearly 45 minutes and we were forced to call a third time. Breakfast was good, checkout was easy, and the staff was mostly friendly besides what seemed like frustration when we called about the damp linens.

The room was clean and comfortable. The food was amazing both breakfast a s dinner. My husband said that his steak was one of the best he’s ever eaten and he has eaten a lot of steak at a lot of places!!! The staff was friendly and prompt with every need.

I read the voews for this hotel on Google and was not sure what to expect. When i walked in I immediately felt happy that I didnt let the negative reviews deter me from making my reservation here. The front desk staff was friendly professional and accommodating. The atmosphere was very high end from the fountain in the lobby to the open view elevators. I received a voucher for 2 complimentary drinks at the bar not sure if it was because of my Hilton level or something that is offered to all guests but it was something i wasnt expecting. I was with a group of 5 people and the room haf more than enough room to fit us all. I thiught the complimentary drinks were going to be watered down or at hest limited in selection but to my surprise the bartender did not skimp and the selection was extensive from wine to spirits. One of the reasons i picked this hotel was the free breakfast and to be honest i was expecting what most breakfasts offer; cereal and milk, powdered eggs, oatmeal, sausage you know the basics. That was not the case at all there was bacon lije Bacon bacon and grits and and actual chef making omelets and pancakes. My mind was blown. And the breakfast staff was smiling and friendly our plates were cleared from the table for us. Suffice it to say we will be back in January this eatablishment has been named our place to stay when we come to South Carolina. Wanted to add pics but the app is not allowing me to

It was amazing

Older hotel, air conditioner broken and the room remained 78 degrees all night. We checked in late and they had changed our non- smoking room to a smoking room and changed to a king bed without notification of either prior to checking in. We were told it was the last room available and the only option.

The bathroom toilet looked as if someone had a bowel movement that was smeared on the toilet seat, soI cleaned it off. The tub had the previous occupants hairs in it. The refrigerator leaked water, so I dried it up with a towel. The beds were so worn out, that all a person could do was sink through. I wanted to call the front desk to let her know but then I remebered her attitude. The woman at the front desk (the nigbt before) had a major attitude and the attitudes carried on to most of the other employees the next day. No customer service skills at all. Only a few employees had customer service skills. I wish i had taken photos to post but we got there late in the night and we were very tired. We would NOT be going back. I wish i could rewind time and pick somewhere else for us to stay.

The furniture was dirty, nasty and stank. The room reeked of smoke smell. The walls were dirty. My husband and I was in room 108. It was horrific. One of the lamps didn’t work in the living area. We had a suite. I am just shock at the way this room looked. Worst stay I ever encountered.

Layout of the room was not convienent. Coffee pot located fartheset point from the sink which was in the bathroom so made if difficult for a family to get ready in the morning. Also there appeared to be mold growing from the air duct.

The hotel was nice. A little older, but plenty of space in the rooms. Great location for everything we wanted to do on our trip.

I feel terrible for the employees who were all amazing. I never met an unfriendly staff member. They do not have the toold to make the place they way it should. I saw the cleaning staff run around the clock. Our room was digusting. The bathroom had damage around the drain revealing chipped fiberglass in the basin. The drain plug that should have been reaytached to the drain sat on the corner. I was unable to bathe my child. Shower head protruding from wall. Needed calking. The shower curtain was stained. The lightswitch was filthy as well. Like dust out of the socket gross. The living soace had stained carpet and cat pee aroma. The chairs are sagged from ware and had oil stains of some sort. The chairs for the dinig area were covvered on a flaky material. The heating vents were caked with fuzz. The indoor pool had bugs and debris on the bottom. Linens were clean. Breakfast jad more to be desired. Not impressed.

Music in lobby was too loud and could hear it in the rooms which was annoying. No conditioner in the shower. Decor of room was outdated and made it appear dirty.

Didn’t have enough towels for number of people, did not ever deliver hair dryer after going in person and calling in am, a/c not working great and staff seeemed more stressed than friendly at most encounters. Missed happy hour that used to be hosted in bar area- weird in kitchen/dining area. Lots of kids running around, etc
Great breakfast and appreciated option for 2 beds and sofa bed for our family.

The hotel needs a total refurbishment ! The room was so disappointing. Decade old carpet , damp environment, totally uncomfortable beds. Pull out couch was worse then a frat couch.
Didn’t want take my shoes off sort of carpet! Bathroom was dated , and cramped.
Overall it was sadly disappointing. Even staff were told the property was going to be redone 10 yrs ago.
There is so much competition in the hotel industry, that requires constant updating,
I feel totally ripped off,

Room smelled like mold/mildew. As if it had been flooded and never fixed. The curtains were dusty. There was a crack in one if the sinks. Everything seemed so dark inside the room too. Really felt pretty damp and dank. Then I found a bug on top of the bed. Furthermore there was no shower curtain liner in the shower. The outer shower curtain was yellowed and had some tears and what looked like cobwebs. The curtain in the main room had some holes in it too. The main floor of the hotel is a rrelic from 1990–huge multi floor atrium that seems like a eco-nightmare. There were only two elevator/ and hotel was sold out so it took a long time to catch one. Only positives were a decent breakfast and a comfortable bed.

I ONLY stay at the Embassy for the omelet station. It’s what make up for the price as I am a solo traveler and don’t require the space.
No omelet station available and the breakfast looked like an Army ration meal. I wouldn’t feed it to my dog.

We had a very good stay, as we laid over during a longer trip. The bed was comfortable and we felt very safe.

We stayed in a very old room. Our room didn't have a seperate living area either. I've stayed at several Embassy Suites and this room was very disappointing. The staff members were very nice.

The staff was helpful and very nice. The conditions of the room could be updated. My pillowcase was torn and not clean.

Turned up to room that had nothing on the bed. No sheets, no duvet. I took pictures, the room was also damaged which I took pictures of as well. I asked the desk for another room and they said they had none and that I could wait for the morning to speak to a manager. I’ve written a review online about this and will only take it down when the refund is processed. This is not what I expect from Hilton as I’ve stayed with them plenty of times and never had anything like this.

Rundown, shoddy maintenance, GERMAN roaches in multiple rooms, heated pool not heated for over a year per staff

The breakfast was ample and the gentleman working the griddle for omelette orders was fabulous (upbeat, attentive and had finesse :)) The beds and linens in the suite were clean and very comfortable.
The room I was in (213) was just okay (worn spots in the carpet, the chair in the living room was shabby, tattered and soiled as was the couch. I requested that housekeeping come up and clean the bathroom in the suite because there was blue toothpaste from a previous guest on the front of the vanity, on the floor and on both walls on either side of the vanity- no one rectified that in the 3 nights that I stayed there. Also- I was missing a blow dryer in the room.

Our AC wasn’t really working well; room 700. They only provided 1 bath towel.

It was a really nice place to stay and the staff was very friendly. One thing I also enjoyed was the happy hour. Adults get 2 free drinks per day you are staying. The breakfast was also good. I would definitely stay there again in the future.

Wallpaper was peeling of wall , carpet was dirty, the refrigerator did not work properly and it smelled of weed on our entire floor. Beds were not comfortable and furniture in the room had lots of wear and tear. All staff was extremely nice is the only positive. Compared to other Embassy Suites by Hilton this one was in poor condition.

The bedroom sink was clogged and couldn’t be used. The bathroom smelled of urine the whole trip. After showering the ceiling was wet and dripped everywhere. Our room was only partially cleaned and the garbage was not emptied.
3.0 / 5.0
Very dated and worn. Pretty sure all the rugs, furniture, bathroom and bedroom decor and fixtures were original. It was just dirty and dank. Worst of the many Embassy Suites weve stayed in over the past 20 years.
Needs major refreshing and would return due to convenient location to downtown if it was updated. Until then we won't be returning.
