Always a pleasure…..a beautiful hotel in the charming city of Bethlehem….steeped in history and filled with lovely unique shops and delightful restaurants.
My husband and I have been staying at this iconic hotel for more than a decade now and each time is better than the time before. Some of the hotel staff even recognizes us on sight year after year….always friendly and gracious. This is is not just a hotel — it’s an experience….highly recommend! If you stay in late November or December — there’s the added pleasure of seeing the hotel — and the downtown area — dressed in it’s Christmas best!

Wonderful, classic hotel and world-class service. Touring the lobby and adjacent areas is a trip in itself, and the main avenue in Bethlehem is a renewed version of older times. Our room kept its retro charm while being thoroughly updated, and the bellmen were solicitous and also a throwback to an earlier time when service was king. We loved our stay and would gladly stay again if our travels take us back that way.

This historic hotel was everything they say it is. Bell staff, front desk staff, bar staff and restaurant staff were all great! The hotel lobby, bar and restaurant were beautiful! The room was perfect!
We stayed for my wife's birthday and our meal at 1741 on the Terrace was delicious and relaxed.
The hotel is perfectly located to explore the cities shops, restaurants and entertainment.

One of the great grand hotels in America. Gorgeous reception, restaurant & ballrooms evoke bygone days. Staff always greet, serve & treat you like a celebrity (and I’ve met a few here before). Rooms are small but elegant. Because of a city water main repair, bathroom water initially flowed yellowish but cleared up after awhile & staff notified us of the temporary issue at registration. Otherwise, the best hotel in the vicinity.

Outstanding Tap Room staff (Spiros & Colleen). Great music combo trio w/vocalist. Lobby ambiance was made elegant and timeless with RJ's wonderful piano playing and song selection. An atmosphere of a beautiful genteel bygone era yet accompanied by modern amenities.

They do not have night time room service. So do not get hungry at might

shower water was awkward to figure out...hot/cold??

The staff were lovely and very outgoing. They really helped at check in and with luggage taken to our room. The room, however, was small (which for a historic hotel is not strange) and had big, bulky furniture. The bathroom was also small and poorly ventilated, with the water draining very slowly from the tub. The bed was comfortable but we felt a bit claustrophobic in the space, and it had a bad smell like damp basement (again, poor ventilation?) We also found someone's clothes in one of the drawers, which made us wonder how well the room was cleaned.

The staff at this hotel were great! They must have taken notes from Disney. It is a very old and historic hotel. The food was so good! We can’t wait to come back and explore the town!

When rain disrupted our plans, we were forced to stay close to the hotel. It proved to be a very comfortable place to weather the storm. Food, drinks and ambiance were spot on. The room was clean and comfortable; good bed, good shower. The location, of course was perfect.

The property was wonderful. Our only issue was we could not get to the hotel at 11:15 at night because Musikfest was happening and the road was closed. We had been assured that we would be able to drive to the hotel during this event. This was not the case, we had to wait 30 min late at night until the police opened the check point.

Absolutely amazing hotel with an incredible history.

Historic hotel, but still felt clean and modern. Room was nice and bathrooms were nice as well. The staff was amazing and the breakfast was delicious. The town was nice and the historic buildings were literally right outside the front door. There are also plenty of dining options within a block. One of the best surprises was the cost. Everything from the room to the food was at a fair reasonable price. Hidden gem that I will be returning to.

We’ll put together hotel, professional service, nice accommodating staff. Clean and is right in the middle of the town. Everything is walkable and the food is great.

This is a beautiful old hotel. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. As is often the case in old hotels, the room is on the smaller size. The staff was amazing, professional and accommodating. We were only there for one night, but would certainly return.

Fantastic location in the heart of the Historic District. Beautiful architecture within this unique city center founded by Moravians in the mid 1700’s. Comfy bedding was just what we needed for a good night’s sleep!

Front desk understaffed for check-in, front desk water station only has mouthwash cups (so cheap!). Cannot turn the air down so room was hot, shower water pressure was abysmal.
The hotel is clearly pinching pennies and really hurting the quality of the stay. We will never go back

We are visiting only one night but have enjoyed this beautiful hotel !

The room was perfect. The only thing that would have made it better was to have been able to open a window for fresh air.
The staff was friendly and accommodating. I will be coming back.

Our check-in experience was wonderful from the moment we pulled up. Friendliness and hospitality are a cornerstone of service here. So wonderful! Nice clothing shop and restaurant in the premises. Room with one king bed is small, but comfy. Bed comfortable, towels absorbent and the robe was a nice touch. The bathroom is very small, but quaint. Pretty please install a second safety bar as the step in the tub is deep and the tub itself and surrounding tiles can be slippery. Scary. Hotel decor is nostalgic and nice. Many nice touches, but the hallway outside our room in the ninth floor smelled moldy and I have allergies. Signed, EA

Although staff and service were generally excellent, I rated it "poor" because of the following. On my first morning we had an excellent breakfast in the Tap Room at about 9:30. The next morning (5/12) we again went for breakfast at about 9:30 and were told seating had ended at 9:00 due to Mother's Day lunch preparations! We should have been notified (under the door?) in advance. As hotel guests, ordinary service should not have been sacrificed for local revenue.

Never disappointed! A true favorite 😍

The room was pretty average. Old was expected since it was a historic building. However, the room could use some tidy-up (leaky faucet, empty hair cap box) and more cleaning. The location and the ambience were GREAT! Even with the room conditions being okay, I’d def stay at this hotel again. Restaurants, bars, shops and other attractions are in walking distance or just a short drive, including the minor league ballpark in Allentown. Felt safe at night too.

It has been years since the hallways of the hotel were graced with Bethlehem Steel executives. While still a grand old lady, the rooms are a bit tired, and could use an update. The hotel staff are very friendly and willing to help.

Beautiful historic hotel in a nice downtown area!

First and foremost the property should advise guests that a train passes by every two hours at night! Whistling! Most rooms are facing the train tracks!
A historic hotel in historic town!
