you get what you pay for, The room had a permanent mildew/mold smell, and there was mold on the tishew box. The bathroom ceiling had panels that were lifted, the floors were dirty. I doubt the pool gets proper maintenance, my eyes burned just from entering the pool area, old creepy guy tried to offer me and my bf tequila despite the fact we're under 21. but regardless of all of that me and my partner was able to try and make the best of our last minute hotel switch up from a 4.5 star hotel to a 2 star hotel

Staff very accommodating and friendly. Pool and jacuzzi was wonderful. Not too fancy, or wasteful. At least a 55” tv and lots of stations. I only booked for one night through a booking agent and they accommodated the price for the next two nights that I stayed. I did have to transfer the rooms because I hadn’t booked ahead of time and ended up in the handicap room which needed a little more handicap accessible for someone that would be in a wheelchair, the showerhead was not able to get to for someone in a wheelchair .
I would go back there.

It would have been an acceptable stay for 40 or even 50 dollars. But for a 100 dollars it was way overpriced for the quality of service one receives. The free "breakfast" is limited to two deteriorated automatic coffee machines, and low-quality pastries from the local convenience store. My suggestion to readers is to add 20-30 dollars and stay in a decent hotel.

Breakfast was nonexistent! Do not advertise it if you are not going to provide it!

The motel is definitely dated on the outside but it was clean and very comfortable. I slept incredibly well while passing through town on a road trip. I have a soft spot for old motels and this is one of the better ones I've been to.

Room was not up to par blankets smelled like smoke and burn holes I didn’t even stay the whole night it was so bad

The hotel was very old and dingy a d i noticed a lot of unsavory elements there. People were allowed to park in designated handicap areas when they had no placards abd property did nothing about it. The only positive things i can say is that its in a nice town, its near the airport and Minneapolis and it is clean like really clean despite being old and run down.

Room had a bad odor cigarette burns in covers and group of men sat and hung out in hallways all night

Good clean hotel, but an older hotel. Price was $ 73 total

Our stay was good until last morning, No TV service. Checked out earlier than planned

It was convenient. The staff was accommodating. My RV burnt down and I didn't have a driver's license to show but I had an image they were willing to take. And I didn't need a deposit as long as I took a smoking room. So I was happy with how they worked with me to make it happen.

The hotel needs upgrades checked in and there where a lot of men sitting in the back area drinking ppl in the hall talking on their phones. Breakfast wasn't no breakfast if you call packaged honeybun and chocolate donuts for breakfast not a breakfast at all. I wasn't happy at this hotel and never will go back.

Staff was always nice and accommodating. Close to the Mall of America, very convenient! Hotel was clean, room was nice and clean.

Nice check in, comfortable room with laundry facilities, coffee and cocoa in the lobby, wonderful pool and spa.

It was a clean good place to lay your head and was comfortable. If you need a reasonable priced place to stay while in Minneapolis. The area is not great looking but seems to higher end than some of these bigger cities I have stayed. Shower is great with good hot water. It meet all my needs.

Was very nice and relaxed stay. Beds were comfy. Breakfast was lacking. Prepackaged mini donuts basically.

Quiet and relaxing

The staff were very polite they were helpful with anything we asked. It seems like it’s more of a place you can really get away with throwing a party

I wish they had a real breakfast
Not just pastries, but that seemed to be all they have room for. So it is ok 😀

Adequate stay - clean enough, not bad. Saved a buck or two.

Great location close to every place we went to. Quiet. The Breakfast was not what we were expecting. No options to choose from. Coffee. Hot chocolate and hostess muffin.

When we first got there, check in was quick and easy. We got sorted but there was no maps or directions to the room. Parked and I left my friend in my truck as the parking lot looked a bit sketchy. There were people hanging around the side and drinking. Great, enjoy your weekend but I was just wanting to find my room, luckily it was straight in from the door. So room, great location. The men outside the door actually was nice, I am not sure if they were staying there or employees but they opened the door for me and my friend and that was pretty darn sweet!
There was no information as how to call the front desk from our room phone. There was no explanation as the the free wifi (which we figured out on our own later).
Everything worked out well. I hope to visit with the Prime Rate Inn again in the future. The pricing was great for the amount of time spent there.
Maybe instead of a "free donut," maybe a continental breakfast. Maybe in the future!

Too many people outside all night. Bug group of hispanics drinking beer all night outside and had the entry door to the building propped to where it wouldn't close all the way to avoid needing a key card. Large amount of construction lumber all over the place. They shouldn't be allowed to advertise breakfast is included because all they provide are small packs of mini donuts with coffee.

You get what you pay for. It's safe and clean. No frills.
Non-smoking still smells a little of smoke but not too bad.
Got the job done.

Good value for what’s offered. The hot tub and pool have good hours. The rooms are relatively clean and comfy. Though somethings around the property, and some of their towels, could be a little more clean. The location is very convenient for MOA. They allow very late check-ins, great for travelers. I would stay here again, and would recommend it to other budget travelers.

We booked for two nights but canceled after the first.
Weed smell in the floors, sticky floor in bedroom and clammy Linen on beds.
To their credit the washroom abd shower were clean.

The property said free breakfast but they don’t have breakfast only coffee and a bread that’s not breakfast

Unfortunately, even though we had a non-smoking room, the hallway outside our room and the bathroom vent reeked of smoke (from people hanging around and smoking in the parking lot and doorway). Fortunately only my wife and I were on this trip because I definitely wouldn’t have felt comfortable allowing my kids to walk out to the car or to the pool on their own at this hotel. The room, bathroom, and shower did look newly renovated, but the bed was not very comfortable. I probably would not stay here again.

We stayed there for 12 hours, just to sleep and shower before our flight. We had no issues with the room, went to sleep, woke up to no water. I called the desk and the gentleman told me that the city must have turned it off, apparently that happens regularly. Defeated the whole reason i paid to stay there. Very frustrating.
