Easy access yet hidden by trees, with lights, nice touch, very nicely kept comfortable gathering spaces and bedrooms.

The property is very nice and comfortable for our family of 5. We did encounter a problem with the heater, it’s cold at night, and the thermostat did not work and couldn’t get fixed during our stay. Overall it’s a very nice place to stay.

Great place - second time we've stayed here. Plenty of space, well-equipped chef's kitchen - great for cooking and entertaining. If you have kids or family and want to cook for them, this is the place you want. Private and cooled in the Spring/Summer by all the trees - great place to stay while visiting Queeche, Woodstock, and beyond.

This is our second time staying here. This year I was a little disappointed in my stay at this house. We were informed on the day of arrival that the dryer was replaced and would be hooked up three days after the start of our rental. There was some dialogue with the local manager and the local managers supervisor during the course of our stay, but in the end we never had use of a dryer in the house. The property manager Kate spoke on the phone with us and was supposed to get back to us and never did. We were there for multiple weeks and were forced to use the laundromat. To me as a renter that's an unacceptable solution. I understand things break and need to be repaired but when you are in the business of renting your property, having that property in tiptop condition should be the priority. If an appliance needs to be replaced, it should be replaced in a day with a competent installer and property management should do what it takes to take care of the situation. Vacations are about enjoyment not about inconvenience.
Other than that the house could've used a deep clean. The master shower had a lot of mold that could easily be fixed by removing the moldy chaulk and re-chaulking. Both times we have stayed, we arrive after a day of driving in the dark to snow and ice on the deck walking path to the front door.

Tucked into the forest right off the main road from Woodstock through Quechee; perfect location for a small group with access to all of the main attractions around town while being tucked away in the woods with tremendous privacy. Great place for a small group or a couples getaway. 10/10 recommend!

The house is great and the kitchen is incredible. House is spacious with a great wraparound deck.
A few things need improvement:. Master bath shower is moldy and glass door is white to the point it's not transparent any more in the bottom half. Shower was so icy we decided not to shower. Tub in master bath doesn't work and is missing handles. There are no blinds in any of the windows of the master bedroom, so it's very early mornings. Washer didn't work.

My partner and I needed a weekend getaway from the city that was low stress and this was the perfect location and setup. The house is removed from neighbors but still close enough to everything you could need. There is an amazing wrap around porch and great views from every corner. We particularly appreciated the homey feeling. Would definitely recommend.

The house was beautiful and so close to area attractions. We would stay again!

One of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed.

This is a lovely house. The location is excellent, away from the tourists going to Woodstock and Quechee but within easy reach of both. The owners could do a much better job of furnishing it comfortably and making it feel like more of a home rather than an income property with the bare necessities. The chandelier in the living room had no bulbs, lighting was sparse throughout the house except for the (excellent) kitchen. The heat was not working upstairs and there were no extra blankets. The grill was put away in the garage with no propane tank. There were garbage bags on the floor of the garage. The kitchen equipment was of poor quality and we had to clean it to use it. I complained to Vacasa (management company) and they had a local staff member call me. She was very nice and arranged to take care of the problems the next day. None of it got fixed. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but mostly because we're from the area and have family close by. For the price, the owners could do a much better job and have a local person immediately available. I've requested money back, but have been met with silence. This is the first negative review I've given after many years as a VRBO customer.

The house is lovely and was very clean! However, there is no door on the master bathroom nor the closet leading to the bathroom. This led to very uncomfortable moments. I would recommend you all add a door to the bathroom as soon as possible. Also, the only toiletries available to us was a bar of soap.
Bring your own shampoo and conditioner. Besides that everything was great!
