The house is beautiful with amazing views and our host was really nice who assisted us not only about the local attractions but also with her guidance regarding medical facilities and other things. Great experience.

What a fantastic location, with fabulous views of Cape Bridgewater. The house is very comfortable and clean, with fresh rainwater on tap. it is set in a very large lawned space (great for playing Finska). Only a short (fairly steep) walk down to the beautiful beach or to the walking track around the headland, where we saw echidnas and lots of birds.

Comfortable, roomy, great location

Owner is very communative. Detailed intructions via text prior, house manuals both before and texts prior to vacating with option to communicate at any time. Absolutley clear instructions over how to leave the property. Various notes posted to assist visitors. Location is ideal to explore SA and Vic. The beach would have been awseome but the weather was less than ideal.

Stayed here Easter 2023.
Perfect beach house with everything you need and one of the best ocean views you will find anywhere right outside the window.
At night you can relax in a cosy, warm space with a wood fire and extremely comfy chairs.
The host has ensured that you have as much information as possible about the surrounding features and activities.
Cape Bridgewater is a beautiful place that has not been spoiled by over-development or mass tourism.
The host (Helen) could not be more obliging, making sure that the fire was already lit and the place warm when we arrived in the evening as well as leaving some nice welcoming treats.
Excellent communication, making sure all is okay without being intrusive.
Clean, reasonable rates and very comfortable.
Top of our list for a south coast getaway!

Pros.
- Great location
- Wonderful views
- House is clean and tidy
- Expansive yard and nice gardens
Cons.
- House is getting on in years and amenities are basic, but it is clean and tidy
- An enormous number of strict rules. Way beyond what we have experienced at any holiday rental in the past
- BBQ rusted
- Lots of comms from the host reiterating rules and advising implications of non compliance

Property was lovely, our only criticism would be that there is a lack shelter for hot mornings and wet weather, which is an issue for pets.

Amazing secret gem reasonable price
This house was exactly what it portrays a house with panoramic views and an ambiance second to none ! I have stayed at a few stayz properties this one is certainly up there Where can you have a glass of wine on a very large balcony looking at the waves then progressing to the living room with a wood fireplace while listening to the Ocean for that price nowhere !!! To top it all off the owner Helen was a pleasure to deal with great lady who cares that the guests are 😊 happy Would recommend to anyone be romance ,family or me time which I had 🤩

Brilliant location
We really enjoyed our stay at Helen's house. Her house has everything you need for a relaxing holiday by the sea. The views are spectacular and really add to the experience. It is worth noting, for those guests planning on bringing their pet, that whilst this house is advertised as pet friendly with fee and bond required for your pet to stay, it also mentions that pets are strictly not allowed inside the house. With a large garden and under cover verandah with dog kennel provided this would ordinarily be suitable, however, presently there isn't a secure fence surrounding the property so could be problematic for those pets who like to go adventuring. Other than that aspect, this is a fabulous place to stay in a really lovely quiet and relaxing area by the sea.

Great property. Amazing view. Comfortable and cosy.Only thing we’d say is that there are many rules and restrictions which detracted from truly being able to relax- particularly with two children aged 10 and 7.Otherwise, a lovely home.

Fantastic ocean views from a large deck
The house has amazing views, especially for sunrises. Large windows overlook a super sized, fully enclosed deck, which was perfect to keep our dog safe. The house was homely, comfy & clean. It was only a short walk to the beach and other walking trails. Perfect for relaxing no matter what the weather. Thanks for everything Helen :)

Cape Bridgewater home away from home
The house is immaculate and comfortable and well supplied with everything you need to feel at home. The views are spectacular; the weather was cold, wet and windy for most of our stay, but the living room with its cosy wood heater and panoramic windows provided a great vantage point to watch the continually changing seascape of the bay. Our hostess let us know when whales had been sighted in the area - we were lucky enough to see one right in the bay, along the walk to the seal colony! The Great Southwest Walk trail is only minutes from the door. This is an ideal place to stay in a lovely part of the world - highly recommended.
