Well, you get what you pay for. Didn't like that the room and property itself had a distinct odor. Purchased some candles and Febreze to freshen the air quality up.

This hotel had very nice and nice.Spacious rooms was clean and had a microwave and mini refrigerator. My only issue was the seedy looking people hanging out around it.

Everything was good except for the bed. Hard as a rock. Other than that a little outdated but good enough for me

There were cockroaches in my room and the room and bathroom was musty and not kept well
6.0 / 10.0
The place is old and worn down but was clean enough. At least we thought. We did see a roach the morning we were leaving.

The bathroom was disgusting m. Not cleaned well and dirty. Only one room key was provided for 4 people.
At night, there were a lot of sirens and noisy.

Many years ago when the place was the Dutch Inn it was a nice place. My room was reasonably clean and that is the only good thing that I can say about this place. OK, I liked the location right off I-295, but there is no sign that you can see from I-295 and if you guess the wrong exit you will find yourself wandering through parts of South Jersey that you never knew existed. Mind you that I lived nearby for 36 years.Things that I really did not like: The parking lot surface is barely drivable. The passageways in the building are dirty and dark. My room was reasonably clean but the carpet was old and there was a giant water spot right above the toilet. There was barely any water pressure in the sink. The front desk looked like it belonged in a flophouse and one of the desk clerks had an attitude that made it clear that she would be more at home working in a flophouse. Sullen and nasty. This place has convinced me to never stay at a Red Carpet Inn.

It was a good hotel, not too busy, served its purpose for the weekend, only downside was hot water was sporadic, it was hot, then cold briefly before getting hot, not a big deal, but I do enjoy a steady shower, whether hot or cold without fluctuation, no big deal tho, room was clean, staff was friendly, and it served its purpose for a cheap getaway weekend!

Overall my stay at Red Carpet Inn at Gibbstown was ok. There was one bad situation. Sunday morning I left some food on my table. I returned a few hours later and it was gone. I didn't appreciate that but it is what it is. Aside from that everything was ok.

The Smell, overall. Cigarette burn holes in the covers. Every pillow has a different age on it. All Linen has it's age. Constant movement outside your door. Kids play in the hallways like its a playground. Staff knows everyone. It's basically apartments. This isn't a hotel

I would not recommend this place to anyone. The bed was hard as a rock. The shower water was cold. The heater kept going off.

First, the room we reserved was not available. The room we got was filthy and the sheets were stained. They gave us a new room that was better but, still dirty.

It was far better than most of the other reviews. As for the complaints about bed bugs and roaches, we did not see any. You can tell that they are in the process of making updates. The room we stayed in had new carpeting. The only thing I can say that was still in need of updating or repair was the tub was rather worn and needed replaced or at least resurfaced. The staff was very friendly and helpful when the first room door would not open they quickly transferred us to another room.

When I called to inform them I would be late, I spoke with a very nasty and rude desk clerk who goes by the name of Nina! Also, the language barrier was of no help! But she knows has to raise her voice! Thank goodness Jessica made up for that, she was very friendly and helpful!

Really bad place..
4.0 / 10.0
I got a good night's sleep. Quiet, everything worked, bathroom surfaces looked ok. There was some odor of old smoke covered by cleaning products possibly, and the carpet was the only thing I was a little worried about. But overall, plenty of space and got what I needed for a relatively low price. It was also very convenient to where I needed to be the next morning, so that helped manage overall travel stress levels.

Couldn't tell if it was under renovation or just in poor shape. The sulfur smell in my room was less than ideal. For what you get a 2.5 star rating is quite high as is the price. The staff were absolutely lovely though. 5 stars for them!

The entire facility was very outdated, dirty and smelled of mold and mildew. Carpeting on the stairs were ripped and torn. The room only had toilet paper, holes in the walls, no signal for the TV, cracked window, stained floors, AC/fan noisy, safety lock was broken off. My wife would not stay for the second night. Worst I have ever stayed in. Expedia should not be promoting this site.

Service was good, staff was good. Spacious hotel, lots of parking and rooms. Cleanliness: sock was left in room, and stains on tub, and walls appeared old. But this hotel is good because accepted hotels.com coupons/free stay credits the other ones did not

This place was really quiet and I slept like a rock. The fridge was cold. The water pressure was great and there was plenty of hot water even in such a large place. It could use some updating but I understand that is not always possible -- the price point was great.

Cheap, good shower pressure. I've stayed in worse but not by much. Could be cleaner, no bugs or pests just old and a little dirty. Is what it is.

Property had an infestation. I would not take children. Had to have bedding replaced due to bugs in bed. I will not stay again!

I definitely would not recommend this hotel! The walls were DIRTY. There were couple gnat like bugs. The toilet didn't flush well. The shower was gross and the second shower of the day (which was HOURS later) was COLD. Also, the pillows were FLAT!!! Overall, the entire room just seemed grungy and the hallways/lobby/outside were not any better!

The room was absolutely disgusting... The smell hit you first as soon as you opened the door... It was dusty, stinky and dirty.. Fridge was broken and dirty. I actually took the air conditioner filter and washed out the years of dust on it.
