Friendly and helpful staff at check-in. No apparent lift so could be a problem for disabled. Average sized clean room with desk and average bathroom space. Note hotel is somewhat distant from La Spezia or other attractions. Continental breakfast slightly above average with friendly staff.

Breakfast was great and Silvia and Claudio hosted us in a great kindness.

Perfect quiet location, staff very friendly, great stay

The place is Ok, 10 minutes from the city, a bit noisy coming from the second floor in the upper room

The staff was extremely nice and helpful. Although it may not have been a fancy hotel with all sorts of conveniences, the treatment we received and helpfulness of the staff was great and will certainly attract us back again if we are in this area.

The hotel is very old, no renovation since
building! The room are very noisy, one can
hear toilet flush from the room next! The
bathroom was too small and the shower itself
was a joke! I will never book this hotel again
and my advise would be, avoid this hotel and
look for a better one! Those who gave this hotel stars must feel ashamed!

We had a five night stay here in early April and enjoyed our time. Pluses were the free onsite parking that never was crowded, free wifi and free breakfast. Rooms were basic but clean and heat and A/C worked well. We were hoping the restaurant would have been open as even though it is a short drive down to La Spezia, the parking situations at restaurants is non-existent. There are a couple of places to walk to from this hotel but hours are flexible and not posted so some evenings we were out of luck. Would recommend this as a good location when visiting Cinque Terre as the train stations is just 10 minutes away.

We were treated really well by the front desk. Stored our luggage and it was in our room when we got back. Good location for city views. Decent fun restaurant x the street. Entertaining wild sheep next door.

Overall expensive region. So was an acceptable price. Shower could have been better but other than that all good.

We stayed at Hotel Nella in La Spezia as a "home base" while spending time in CInque Terre. The train station is only about 10 minutes away from the hotel and is a great way to go in seeing CInque Terre. At the train station get A CInque Terre Card for 1 day or 2 days and you can travel by train as much as you please.
The hotel was nice. Breakfast was excellent. Daniel was exceptional in how he helped us. The room was plain and the bed was only average in terms of comfort.
This hotel works great as a base from which to visit Cinque Terre.

The receptionist was very helpful and explained to us how best to get to cinque terre.
The room was simple, the bed and blankets not the most comfortable but the price was just fine.
Breakfast is certainly reasonable
We ate in the evenings at a local restaurant opposite the hotel on the recommendation of the receptionist and the food there was amazing. Though the waitress did not know how to speak English.

We booked Hotel Nella to visit Florence next day, the plan was to visit Firenze by train and it worked out a very well by dropping the rental car to free parking space of railway station.
This was an excellent and good hotel for the price in April 2019. Rooms were very clean and very quiet, and the assistance from the staff was excillent during the night when my fiance needed to visit the local hospital when she got suddenly ill. All the staff spoke ver good english and supported the stay with out little problems very well. Definately could visit again if in that area.

I liked that it was outside of the city for a less touristy feel. The owner was very hospitable and even helped carry our luggages to our room! He advised us well on how to tour the 5 Terre.

Perched on to of a hill in a a tiny hamlet above La Spezia, the views out across the valley from the hotel balcony were spectacular. There is a small pizzeria/bar across the road and a restaurant next to the hotel. Everything we needed at the end of the hard day's driving. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly - even helping us to find an English speaking vet as we needed official health certification stamped into our dog's passport. The breakfast was splendid served in a very pretty breakfast room. I would definitely stay there again it was a great overnight stay..

Very friendly, we were given lots of information and help to visit the cinque terre. The restaurant next to the hotel is very nice. The hotel is a bit isolated but quiet and confortable

We stayed here for 3 nights as we explored the costal towns in Tuscany. Very convenient location and wonderful facilities. We also found the hotel restaurant to be an inexpensive option for dinner that was very good.

I like this hotel especially for the location and view. Staff was very helpful.

The hotel is far from the La Spezia. You will need a car to get there. There is a free parking lot across the street. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. They gave us a lot of info and suggestions how to organize our Cinque Terre visit. The breakfast was very good, a lot of choices, exelent presentation and taste. There is a restaurant next door that serves dishes one must try. Prices are affordable. The staff - again exelent. Overall we had a very good experiance with Nella hotel.

Staff were vey helpful, they provided directions to town, Cinque Terre train schedule, and advised where to park for free close to the train station.

We stayed at Nella for 2 nights whilst visiting Cinque Terra region with a car. You absolutely need a car to stay here as it is out of town. The rooms were large with good bathrooms and "waffle" rather than regular towels. The staff at the hotel and restaurant were great and the breakfast was fabulous (I love meat, ricotta, yoghurt, coffee etc. no bacon and eggs here!)
The town of La Spezzia is around 5km down the hill so you can park and drive for the five towns and hike between if you wish. We recommend also driving to portavenere as it is lovely. The walls are very thin so not great for light sleepers and there is no lift, so no heavy luggage. The walkway can be mossy and slippery so not so good for the immobile or older clientele, especially with luggage in tow!
I loved out stay here . The restaurant next door was good too and the staff made this hotel for me. On facilities and location alone, it's average but good for people with car on a budget who appreciate the local tips and cuisine.
Two nights was a little pricier than I expected but very reasonable.

We liked this hotel because the staff is very friendly and our room was big and clean. We had a corner room with windows on two sides so it was bright and cheery. The only drawback was the lack of an elevator and lugging our suitcases up the stairs was not much fun. Could have packed a little lighter. Other than that we really enjoyed the hotel. There were a couple of restaurants right around the corner which were excellent. And when you walked to the corner you got a beautiful view of the LaSpezia harbor. It felt like we were a long way from the city center but we really weren't. One road down the hill and you were there. The staff gave us a map for parking free and then the walk to the train station to get to Cinque Terra - did not take long at all. The hotel had a very nice breakfast buffet and we would definitely go back.

The biggest drawback with the hotel was finding it. Our map detail was limited but the tourist center in town gave us good directions. The hotel itself was very nice and well kept. When inquiring about places to eat for dinner the concierge was incredibly helpful in giving us several options and making a reservation for us at the restaurant. Another little note, at checkout we were given the option of paying in euros or dollars to avoid the fee credit card companies charge.
