We stayed a week in this room. It was very clean and had a view of the beach. The property was gorgeous, and the location was steps away from great coffee and restaurants. We had a little trouble with the WiFi, but the vacasa team was super responsible to help us figure it out. Would definitely stay again.

Resort right on beautiful beach with a great walking path.if you want to tour the island a rental car is a must . There is a plaza with a few restaurants and stores right by the resort.

This is a nice, quiet resort just before you get to Kapa'a, 12 minutes from the airport. It's about 35 min back to Poipu and 45 min to Hanalei. Lydgate beach park is only 5 min away. The resort is situated right on it's own beach which is okay for swimming, subject to the waves. The room was nice, clean and well furnished. You can see the ocean from the balcony. This originally was a hotel that sold off rooms as "condos," so they're not large, although the bathroom was ample sized. Everything was in working order. A previous review mentioned no utensils, but they are actually in drawers under the sink (weird). Be aware, the listing states two "double beds," and they are indeed, smaller than queen size. There are two beach chairs in the closet to take on your adventures around the island. There were ample loungers around the pool and on the beach also. Between the highway and the resort is a small outdoor shopping center with a market, souvenir shops and 3-4 restaurants. Two nights we walked over and ordered to-go and just ate on our balcony. Well managed by Vacasa, we had good communication before and during our stay. If we make it back to Kauai again we will definitely consider this resort and room again.

The unit was comfortable and clean, nice balcony with ocean view, but a drawback was its location on the third floor of a three-story building with no elevators. We are in our 80s and found having to go up and down those stairs several times a day a discomfort, particularly with our luggage. Anyone who would not want to hear a rooster crow dozens of times a night should avoid this location. If you do rent this unit, bring utensils as this supposedly fully stocked kitchen had not a single utensil.

This spot is lovely. The Islander condos seem to attract a pleasant and reserved clientele. Just what we wanted. Beautiful grounds and a lovely pathway to walk along the beach. We enjoyed being on the third floor which gave us privacy and a nice, though limited, ocean view. Everything both inside and out was nice and clean. Kitchen facilities were pretty basic but no matter because the Sleeping Giant Grill is just downstairs and we enjoyed many dinners here.

Perfect for us ! we stayed in #370. Perfect location we’ve stayed in Kapaa almost every time we come ! Love the tiki bar at the pool everyone super friendly. 10/10 will stay here again

The room was good, had space, very comfortable beds, clean, a good size of a refrigerator, good shower. Has a nice beach that is a 3 minutes walk from the room.Close to the airport about 15-20 minutes drive. Nice balcony and a table to eat inside the room. There is a regular metal key that you lock in a box with code outside the room, that was very convenient for us - that way we didn`t have to carry it with us and risk losing it.The room is 3rd floor without an elevator,that was a little challenging with bringing up our suitcases.The safe didn`t work, plus we had trouble because the hotel said the host is responsible and the host wasn`t available and clear when someone will come. At the end after two and half days it was fixed. We couldn`t use the Washing machine because it was the hotel and apparently the room doesn`t include some of the hotels pacilities, very confusing.

My family rented 3 units in the same complex so we were able to compare our rooms. #370 could use a thorough deep clean (floors especially) and did not have as comfortable mattresses as the other two condos. However for two nights it was fine. the great points are that it is really close to the beach, really close to a nice market for meals, has a pool with a bar, and even a few floaty toys in the closet. For our stay there was plenty of seating at the pool. The beach was red flagged as too dangerous for swimming and you really can`t take a long walk on the Beach before you hit impassable debris. this is much like a large budget hotel room in a great location.

Good location in the middle of the island, easy to go north or south for the day (once you get through Kapaa traffic). Steps away from the Lava Lava Club restaurant on the beach, which was great for breakfast, appetizers and live music. Unit had small fridge, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, dishes, etc. Everything we needed except beach chairs or beach umbrella, but we rented those from Kapaa Beach Shop (along with a cooler) for about $80/week. Unit was clean, sink/tub drained well, beds were ok - not luxurious, but comfortable. AC worked great. A really good unit that doesn`t break the bank - will come again!

The complex is in a good location on the island. You can easily walk to multiple restaurants and get groceries in addition to endless beaches. The room is simple but sufficient for what we were looking for.

WARNING! It`s a health hazard. Black mold everywhere: furniture, curtains, walls. The support management isn`t responsive. We got stuck there. I regret this trip and reservation so much! It ruined Kauai for me. I`ll never return.

I had a very enjoyable stay here. I was back to Kauai after visiting last Oct. with my husband. I lost him in June so I returned to the place we loved so much since 1977. So this was a very special trip for me. I knew I wanted to be in Kapa`a in a centralized, safe place. Everything was perfect. It is adjacent to the Coconut Marketplace which is very convenient for shopping and places to eat. I really wanted an ocean view, which I had from the balcony just as pictured. I could hear the ocean all day and night. It was a wonderful 8 night stay. The kitchenette was handy, as well. Just one note of warning, this is on the third floor, and there are no elevators. It was hard hauling all my luggage since there is no one to help. Oh! I forgot to mention the pool. It sits right near the water. It was an enjoyable spot to rest after a full day of sightseeing. There`s a bar that opens in the early evening. Loved this place!

The only complaint I can make is that there is no coffee maker in the room which is a minor inconvenience. Otherwise this room is absolutely perfect. It is within walking distance of great food, farmers markets, an amazing and mostly empty beach, kayak rentals and stores. Especially considering the price it doesn’t get much better than this!

We have visited Kauai several times and each time have stayed at Islander on the Beach, sometimes in different units. The location in Kapa`a is convenient for driving either north or south on the island, with stores, laundry, and other facilities nearby. We had actually reserved a different unit for this trip, but ended up requesting a move to 370 when we arrived. We had stayed there a few years back so were familiar with it. Staff on the island and on mainland did a wonderful and expeditious job of facilitating our move to 370. We are very appreciative of their effort. The unit is clean, functional,and well maintained. Great garden view with small view of ocean, but you can hear it. The overall complex is quiet and relaxed. The fact that most of the balconies don`t face each other adds to a sense of privacy. We look forward to returning.

The place was nice, and close to the beach and in a beautiful garden. The price was also reasonable. A little small for 4 people, but can accommodate two perfectly. We enjoyed our family time.

Everything in this little place was satisfactory EXCEPT that the “king size” bed is just two twin mattresses pushed together with king bedding on it. This was really obnoxious as it nearly felt like my husband and I slept in separate beds. Otherwise the view was incredible, the full kitchen was so inconvenient, the pool felt incredible and the place was clean.

This property is better than described. Had all amenities you could need. No AC but found it isnt needed due to great cross breeze and the amount of windows. Also had a fan if needed. Listening to the birds and waves made it the most relaxing stay we have ever had on the island. Location was centrally perfect for exploring and the old town Kapaa is very charming. Would definitely stay here again. Only negative: coffee pot needs replacing -very very slow

We really loved our stay at Kapaa Sands 14. You're right on the ocean--just walk out your back patio and down a few steps to put your toes in the water! PROS: Great views, the relaxing sound of the surf pounding all night long, clean unit, private oasis tucked away from the crowds. CONS: Because there's no A/C, you leave your windows open all of the time (which felt great), but you can also hear your neighbors around you fairly well; not a great swimming beach, but fun to wade around, fish and watch the surfers.

I had a great time here. I've stayed in the area before, this time was excellent again. The unit opens right out to the water, very peaceful. I also liked that you use a key code, so no keys to worry about. The unit is small but had everything you need. They had beach towels and some beach gear for use also. I would definitely stay here again. If I had to nitpick one issue, I wish they had a few more cooking utensils and condiments for when you make your own food at the condo. Totally minor issue though.

Studio was just as described. We LOVED it!!. Right on the water. Good location on the island to explore all directions. You can walk to a market and a fabulous water front restaurant, Lava Lava. Very nice young dudes in the front rented us a kayak and tied it on our car so we could make the trip up river to the water falls. Great golf 10 minutes away.

Beach access with amazing sun rises- I even saw whales and dolphins on the horizon. Close to a wonderful beachside bar and restaurant. Walking distance to groceries, gifts and vacation activities rentals like kayaks, SUP boards and bikes. There's an amazing vegan restaurant across the street called Russel's- I highly recommend them. Lots of hiking near by. There is a little bit of traffic at times and at the moment there's construction by the crosswalks, so that's something to be aware of.

This is a great place to stay. It is right on the water. Each morning we enjoyed a beautiful sunrise while listening to the waves out on the lanai. The property is tucked away behind lush tropical plants and trees. Inside the unit, everything was clean and bright, and the kitchen was fully stocked. What was also nice was that we were able to rent kayaks as there is a rental shop right on the property. It is run by Charlie who is also the property manager. He gave us great tips on where to kayak and hike. We were able to walk to shops and restaurants. There is an Island Country Market there where you can get great deli food, gourmet coffee, and even gifts. It was a nice find. This part of the island feels like you have stepped back in time to a calmer, quieter way of life. If you are looking for a place with beautiful views, peaceful days, and kind, attentive people, this is it!

This property had everything we needed for a perfect week. The beach is steps out the patio door, we were close to restaurants and shops and the pool and unit were clean and comfortable. Simply beautiful and we will definitely rebook. We love this place!

We nicknamed this small studio condo our “Beach Shack”. Nothing fancy but the oceanfront location is amazing, especially falling asleep at night with the sound of crashing waves. There’s a nice patio for reading or internet (which worked fine). The small complex was much more quiet than a hotel. Great beach swimming in the area.
