We were staying in the annex across the road from the main hotel which is unfinished. There were builders working across the corridor from our room with the associated noise and they began work the next morning at 07:30! At breakfast there was not one clean table available or any staff to clear them, a lady arrived 10 minutes after we cleared a space ourselves. The hotel lists itself as a 4 star hotel it certainly didn’t come up to those standards.

Memory Lane - a very nice hotel in Emden. I have used Faldernpoort regularly the last 30 Years and they have developed and at the same time keept the nice and pleasent atmosphere.

Nice hotel with all the facilities that you need. It’s clean and tidy. The breakfast is really good. Maybe it’s little it to loudly between the rooms.

We stayed one night in Emden before taking the ferry out to Borkum. The hotel has good free off street parking. We stayed in a small villa behind the main hotel. It was clean and comfortable. It came with a very good hot breakfast. We had to catch the ferry early, so the only downside was the doors to the main hotel where the breakfast was served were locked yet at 6:30 when we tried to go in.

Large & New room with heated floors that helped keep the room very warm. WiFi in the room was erratic, but fine in the lobby. I was only there for one night night so so dont know if they could have got it resolved. When I mentioned it in the morning on check out they were surprised that there was any issues.

I really like the hotel. Had a very nice room, comfortable bed. excellent staff. Only downside was the bad internet connection and the lack of a coffee/tea maker.
