Something that Hotels.com need to inform customers is that this place do not offer towels, bedding and room cleaning. You can get this at an additional cost (don’t know the price) and for 1200kr they can clean after your visit else you have to clean the area yourself. Please check the website of this place before booking.

I forgot to write my review earlier when I stayed there in May 2024. It’s a beautiful location, I stayed in a cabin with an uninterrupted view of the sea. I walked everyday into Visby along the footpath on the coast, it was gorgeous. The room was clean and staff super friendly and professional. 10/10 would highly recommend to anyone, as the rooms are clean, great staff, and great rates.

We really enjoyed our stay. Staff was very nice and food was excellent. Breakfast was superb.
Staff was also pro active with some extremely noisy guests, making sure they would quiet down by 10pm. That was very much appreciated since we had to leave the window open due to hot weather.

Convenient location, very nice surrounding environment. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was served partially in pre-packed boxes while guests have access to a buffet table with bread and eggs.
Our room was not ready at the time we checked in (after 3 pm). And when we finally entered the room we found the cleaning was not finished (e.g. coffee mugs not washed at all).

New rooms, well equipped and clean.
Our only problem was the heat in the cabin, at 25-27 degrees outside it was unbearably warm inside and very difficult to sleep well at night unless we left our door open all night. The window only opened 10cm.
That was the only issue

Gustavsvik was a pretty nice place to stay. The apartment was comfortable for three or four people with a nice kitchenet and living space, but remember to bring your own sheets and towels - not an uncommon thing in Sweden. It was a little further out of town than I would have liked, but renting bicycles more or less solved that problem. I would say this place was good, but not great. A fair value for the money at the post-tourist time of year.

Extra fees for linen and requirement to clean the property were unexpected

The area is nice with green spaces and beach access.
It does not include bed linen, towels, toiletries or any cleaning of the apartment, which must be provided by guests including upon departure.

This hotel is very comfortable, the environment is also very good, except the Wifi!

Lovely and Quiet

This place is an appartment hotel. Breakfast, sheets and cleaning are at extra charge. This was not clear when we booked the stay through hotels.com. The reception staff were not at all helpfull and offered no comprehension. They stated they always have problems with bookings through hotels.com. The place itself is fine, but don’t assume it is a hotel when you book it. The appartments are roomy and in front of the beach.

We stayed in one of the 2-person-cabins in the Visby Gustavsvik resort for 3 nights at the beginning of September 2017. The cabins were small-sized, clean and conveniently equipped with everything you´ll need for a few days stay: two comfortable beds, a small bathroom with a shower, fridge, and even tv and wifi.
Breakfast was simple but sufficient and was served in the main building with terrace and winter garden.
The staff members were very friendly, warm-hearted, offered tips and assistance and significantly contributed to the feel-welcome-mood.
The beach is just a few hundred meters away. Visby can be reached in around 30 minutes by foot, 5 minutes by car and around 10 minutes by bike. A couple of hiking paths start close by.
Visby airport can be reached in just 5 minutes by car (starting or landing aircrafts can be noticed but were never disturbing).
When using a car, the resort is a nicely located starting point for exploring the central, northern as well as the southern parts of Gotland.
We greatly enjoyed our stay and can unreservedly recommend the accommodation.
