One of the most amazing stay of our hotel stay in Italy. It is the most perfect place to be at peace with nature. OMG the view of the Amalfi coast is breathtaking from the room balcony. Walking down to Amalfi through the lemon trees was an incredible experience. Aida at the reception was amazing hostess.

Very nice hotel with a great view and friendly staff, located in a nice little village up in the mountain.

Staff not helpful. Breakfast terrible. Too far away from towns.

Great spot lovely views. The staff are very friendly.
When you get to the Piazza there are a few steps up and you go to the left.
We walked down the stair way to Amalfi and the lemon experience.
Get the bus back as it's not too far to walk.

Let me start this review by saying we were very excited for this visit, but was slightly disappointed. It seems like a lot of the things that were visually portrayed on their photos were not provided during our visit. They are currently under construction, which I think should be stated During booking. The front desk gentleman, frances was an absolute dream and helping us with everything we needed, which made the disappointment. Much better. When booking our hotel, it stated standard room online with balcony with a view, but we ended up with a standard room with a patio. I think that they’re online photos and explanation need to be adjusted So no one else would have this issue. The rooms were an amazing size and very large and comfortable. Breakfast was nothing special, but available. The location was absolutely only 10 minutes from the Amalfi city, but has a very long and curvy road. My children got sick once during the drive so just just be sure if you have anyone who gets carsick to be careful.

We stayed only one night, lovely view and friendly helpful service. Overall great value, tasty cappuccino and simple breakfast. Hopped in the hot tub at night. I’d recommend arriving before nightfall ( uphill narrow roads ) also there was many stairs so I’d recommend something more accessible if you’re not mobile but was not an issue for us at all.

Only parking was difficult and we went to much up and down, to find the hotel

It was a very nice room. Breakfast was good. It was way up in the mountains far from Amalfi. Nothing around. We had dinner at the restaurant next to the hotel and and fish was very good. Very quiet hotel but far from everything.

This hotel was well appointed with amenities, and absolutely gorgeous. Views were stunning! The restaurant affiliated with the hotel was fantastic. Every staff member was incredibly hospitable and so kind and helpful. Lovely people! There are many stairs to get to the hotel and back to the street, as it is literally built into the mountains. Worth the walk for sure, but can be challenging for those with physical difficulty walking or climbing stairs. Definitely beautiful and serene. Nice sized balconies too for enjoying that view. The breakfast provided was typical Italian breakfast food - coffee, pastries/breads, cheeses, sliced meat, yoghurt, fruit. They also provided cereals, milk, and juice.
Taxis are more expensive since Pontone (the city there) is remote. Buses come by fairly regularly, and the stop is about 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. There are stairs down the mountain to Amalfi too - about a 40 minute walk down. Google maps had the correct walking directions. Not a lot of options for dining in Pontone, as it’s a small town, but the two we tried were both excellent - Ristorante San Giovanni (past the click tower and to the right, very close!) and the restaurant on the premises (I think it was called Ristorante Antico Borgia.)
Pictures show view from balcony and stairs (only a fraction of them) to Amalfi.

The Palazzo is beautifully nestled into the historic core of the Pontone village, away from the buzz in Amalfi. Planting beds with lavender and herbs add to a wonderful climate on the terrace with a peaceful view over the bay.
We were warned by other reviews of the few steps from the parking to the hotel itself, otherwise there were no detriments to our stay.

What a special place! High above Amalfi town, Postpone is a quiet village with breathtaking views of the surroundings. We stayed here because of a wedding in Scala. It's a not so bad 25 minute walk downhill to town, the walk up would take about an hour. The room was bright and clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was simple but well served and the staff will make you coffee as you wish. The terrace was lovely and we could have sat outside for hours sipping our coffee or wine and enjoying the view.

We loved the town of Pontone, it’s location between Amalfi and Scala and Ravello. The breakfast is excellent!

We had an amazing time here. It’s such a gorgeous hotel, the rooms are lovely and comfortable and the view is unbelievable, words won’t do it justice. All the staff were so warm, approachable and really helpful. Yes the steps down to Amalfi are fairly intense (worth it for the view on the way down, a serious workout for your calves on the way up) but manageable if you’re prepared/don’t have mobility issues. I’d stay here again in an instant. All staff were also really easy to communicate with before our stay, arranging airport transfers for us which was so helpful.

I loved this place, because from there you can appreciate the entire Amalfi’s panorama and the serene, quite, natural sounds in the mornings, and evenings; excellent way to start and finish each day. And the local pizzeria San Giovanni couple minutes walking distance from hotel excellent ambiance, service and best pizza I ever tasted! Also the personal, friendly treat of Lina (the manager of the hotel) very attentive and helpful!

The staff were so kind and helpful!
The facility itself is obviously quite new and in excellent condition. Room was outstanding - Incredible view and very large deck.
They had a thermal pool/hot tub that needed to have fresh water.

Perfect and very Nice service. Wonderfull view from the hotel

It's beautiful here and the staff is very nice, but we found the location inconvenient. Public transportation doesn't really seem to reach Pontone, where Palazzo San Giovanni is located, so it's either expensive taxi or LOTS of walking (if you don't have or rent a car).
We love being active, but found it exhausting to trek up and down to Amalfi and Ravello in one day from this hotel. The streets aren't always pedestrian-friendly either. I wish I had done more research into the location of this hotel when considering options.
The room was decent, but for the price, we thought they could have provided hand soap and a more comfortable bed with multiple pillows. The shower area was also super slippery in a way that seemed potentially hazardous.
Our favorite part of the room was the balcony overlooking a view of the cliffs.

This stay was a highlight on our 1 week trip around Naples, Ischia, and the Amalfi. Lina, our host, welcomed us the morning before our arrival with a call explaining how to get to the remote area of Pontone. Throughout the day, she provided us with helpful information on which bus to take and at what time. We were traveling during off-season so busses were harder to come by. When we arrived, Lina greeted us at the front and showed us into our beautiful room that was decorated with expresso candies! The room was gorgeous and the view was unbeatable. The next day Lina prepared a delicious breakfast for us and even made us coffee and an omelet! As we were leaving, the rain picked up and she offered to give me her umbrella for walking down to the bus station. My friend and I already want to bring our families to this place. The palazzo is unbeatable and the host is so kind. Don't pass this place up!! Thank you Lina for such an incredible experience!

Beautiful stay! Staff is so helpful and nice. Place is so clean and beautiful views. Area of Pontone is calm and quiet, a nice escape from busy Amalfi.

Brand new hotel with amazing views, spatious rooms and excellent staff. Is a fair distance from amalfi and can be difficult to access as taxi's are costly (a hotel shuttle to amalfi would be fantastic). Loved the hotel would only suggest a couple of mirrors to be added to the family room.

Great place to stay and such a freindly staff who are always willing to help. Roberto was so nice he helped us carry our baggage from parking lot to the hotel. This place is located near city center. Great breakfast at the place and nice sitting lounge facing beautiful ocean and mountains right in front of hotel.I would surly come back here again and we thank you guys for your outstanding services. I totally love this hotel, although you have to have strong knees to brace the many steps, the views and everything-else is totally worth it! I was in town for a wedding in Ravello, this was an excellent choice. Not far from Amalfi city center, matter of fact, my friend and I walked down the steps for about twenty minutes. Lina at hotel was excellent, she went above and beyond. for us.

Fantastic location. Very comfortable hotel. Convenient for Ravello and Amalfi which you can walk to and avoid the crowded roads. Useful being able to park the car. Staff very friendly. Would recommend highly nice to have small cooking facilities to make own meals to enjoy on the balcony overlooking Amalfi and the sea.

A stunning property in a location that is eat suited to those who want to be close enough to the action, yet have either great interest in long and at times challenging walks, or a vehicle.
The location was exceptional, a true Italian sense of belonging if you take the time to be with the community, you will be warmly welcomed.
Roberto and the team are outstanding.
Thank you.
