Beautiful hotel in an excellent location in the Old Town. Every one of the staff we encountered dealt with us in a very friendly, helpful and professional manner.
Our room was a good size with a comfortable bed and spotlessly clean (as were the other areas of the hotel). The room had all the facilities we needed including a small safe, excellent air-conditioning and a good sized bathroom. The free mini-fridge which was restocked each day was both unexpected and a nice touch.
There is a lovely courtyard area where you can choose to have breakfast which had a very good range of food available.
An unexpected surprise was a guided tour after breakfast of the Roman bath and ruins in the basement of the hotel which we really enjoyed.

We had a wonderful four days in Villa Flavia. Our room was clean and spacious. We had a safe, a coffee machine, a tv including two channels in English, comfortable beds and a great bathroom. There is also free use of the contents of the room fridge which is replenished every day. The staff are all efficient and very friendly.
The hotel is well placed in the city centre and you can walk easily to Roman remains, bars, restaurants and shops. The hotel also offers a short tour of the Roman bath in the basement.
We had an enjoyable stay here and can thoroughly recommend Villa Flavia.

The hotel is very unique. Great breakfast, comfortable rooms and mini-bar contents are included. It was built over some nice Roman ruins and they do a great tour in the mornings. Awesome place and great location.

If you are traveling to Plovdiv for any reason this is the place! Close to everything. I had to get to the rowing canal every day and it was no problem. I grabbed line scooters and it took me 10 minutes and got to see some other parts of the city that I would not have otherwise seen. The staff was outstanding! Accommodating, nice and helpful. Spoke great English which for me was great!!!

Very beautiful property at a good price. The most interesting parts of the old city are incredibly accessible from here-- I frequently used some of the most major landmarks to guide me back to the hotel. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, as well as very helpful when it came to recommending things to do and places to dine. Perhaps one day I will return here again.

Villa Flavia is an excellent boutique hotel where everything is perfect: facilities, decor, historic building preservation, and a delicious diverse breakfast buffet. Right in the center of Plovdiv, at walking distance from historical sites and restaurants. Surrounded by a clean and safe area with nice shops. The hotel has a professional and courteous staff fully fluent in English who were attentive to all our needs. The hotel offered us a welcome courtesy drink and offered a very interesting tour to an archeological site (Roman baths) located on the premises of the hotel. Everything outstanding. Highly recommend.

Wonderful hotel! You don’t need to leave the hotel to engage with the antiquities of Plovdiv. Professionally preserved and interpreted the Roman baths in the basement were such a plus for this place. Centrally located between the ancient theatre and stadium, access is easy and you don’t need a car. Hospitality was exceptional! Rooms are large and clean. Breakfast is an A+.

The staff were so friendly and helpful and went above and beyond. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. I had a balcony with a table and chairs overlooking the street. The preserved Roman Baths in the basement were a wonderful surprise

It is very centrally located and actually located on an ancient Roman bath ruins that you see in the lobby through the glass floor. There is daily tour. Fun. The breakfast is good, good food and service and ambience.

I stayed at this property a week ago and I have to say it is one of, if not the best hotel I've had the pleasure of staying at. The staff were so friendly, welcoming and had all the knowledge to share for a wonderful visit to Plovdiv. The breakfast was delicious and the layout of the hotel and garden immaculate. Since I come from a Roman city in the UK, I especially liked seeing the Roman bath remains in the basement of the hotel. It was a real delight, thank you and I hope to stay again.

Stayed at Villa Flavia for a night when traveling with my friend in Bulgaria. Absolutely loved it. It was a cute little boutique hotel. The staff were all nice and helpful, the room was quiet as requested, clean, and comfortable, and the location was close to the main walking street. The beds were comfortable, there was good water pressure in the shower, and the drainage was also good. There are actually cool ruins under the lobby of the hotel. You're allowed to go downstairs and take some pictures with, and a hotel employee will give you some of the history while you're down there. We loved staying here, and would definitely stay here again if we visited Plovdiv. Highly recommend staying here if you go to Plovdiv.

Incredible! Could not fault our stay. The hospitality, food, friendliness of the staff were all amazing. The location was perfect with it being less than a minute into the centre of the city. Surprisingly there was no noise at night through to the rooms from outside so slept really well! Would recommend staying here to anyone!

It was wow. The staff is amazingly friendly and supportive. The rooftop is awesome with a lot of private tables. Breakfast is delicious and the ancient Roman relics are so well preserved that will leave you speechless. Well done, villa Flavia. You deserve the boutique title.

Villa Flavia had very comfortable rooms, excellent service, a perfect location in the old town, convenient parking, and great breakfasts. Beyond that, they have ruins of an ancient Roman bath beneath the hotel, which they can give you a tour of. its the best mixture of old and new and truly an authentic experience. I felt extraordinarily lucky to have picked Villa Flavia to stay at.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly and very professional. Comfortable room, clean, and quiet. The location was fantastic - it is close to restaurants, shopping, and sites. The parking was secure, and the directions emailed from the hotel staff helped me locate it.

Truly outstanding. Villa Flavia is built on top of Roman bath ruins and they have lovingly and beautifully preserved them below the main lobby.
Make sure you take them up on their offer for a short tour to see the original marble of the pool, original tunnels that demonstrate the heating mechanism (hypocaust).
My boyfriend and I both looked at each other on our first night and said “this was a great choice”
- property & rooms are lovely & comfortable
- overlooks a gorgeous courtyard where you can have breakfast
- fantastic buffet breakfast with great spread: hot items, Bulgarian yogurt and toppings, banitsa, pancakes, fresh squeezed oj, excellent espresso
- parking was ultra convenient and worth the modest fee
- roof top terrace is also lovely
- cannot beat the location in old plovdiv, close to all of the museums, restaurants, Roman stadium, etc.

Beautiful hotel with a very interesting and unusual feature underground (Roman ruins, which they give you a tour of if you ask). Nice breakfast included, staff friendly and helpful ( particularly one who helped with finding a bus timetable), clean, modern and very conveniently located.

Our stay at Villa Flavia was excellent in every way. The location is perfect for visiting the old city, Kapana, and shopping or the local park. The staff are kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable, and the buffet breakfast is the perfect way to start your day of exploration. There is a gorgeous rooftop terrace to sip drinks or enjoy city views. One suprise you won't always find in the description: the hotel's basement features the ruins of a Roman bath discovered when they were renovating the hotel, which is now preserved and incorporated into the hotel's design. (And the staff will give you a personal tour.) I can't say enough good things about this hotel, and if I have the chance to return to Plovdiv, I don't think I'd want to stay anywhere else!

The hotel is beautifully designed, from the historical Roman ruins underneath, to the airy rooftop terrace with a spectacular panoramic view. The room was very comfortable, as was its bathroom and shower, and the complimentary beverages are a nice touch. The staff are very helpful, friendly, and fluent in English. The breakfast was delicious with a lot of options and the lobby and eating area are stylish and comfortable. It's in the perfect location for Plovdiv, and was easy accessible, including an elevator. Highly recommended!

The staff at Villa Flavia went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and cared for. They helped with changing our reservation details, offered drinks and help with luggage at check in, gave sight seeing recommendations, and even kept the delicious breakfast buffet open for us despite us oversleeping and missing the times.
The property is historic, beautifully restored & renovated with modern, aesthetic decor.
Our room was clean, spacious, well maintained, and ready right at check in.
Staff even held our bags while we continued to explore before check in after check out.
Have nothing but nice things to say!
