Hotel is looking tired, even though recently decorated. Evening menu was very basic (so we ate elsewhere)

We did not stay the hotel is in poor state Did not look good as we pulled up. Going in to the foyer we were dubious but did check in as been on the road for over 5 hours.
However we did not put are bags down. The bedding was stained the pillows thin and lumpy. The bath tub had rust in the bottom.
The room was smelt like an old train carraige. No upgrade in the 50 years since it was built. We checked straight back out and have requested a refund. I would have been upset to pay £50 per night but it is laughable to charge double. We had to continue our journey to Barnstable to an outstanding hotel called the Park Hotel. Chalk and Cheese is the phrase.

The staff were helpful and friendly. The place needs serious updates and repairs. Was painful to see the lift out of order for disabled elderly person.

Great service but the hotel is needing some tlc - Beeakfast was great

The state of maintenance was appalling. It would appear that no money has been spent on this property for 30 years

The reception area and dining room where very well presented. Breakfast has a very good choice. Very pleasant waitress. Bedroom was clean and tidy but was looking a bit tired. Could do with freshening up.

Was a nice big clean hotel, windows didn't close properly but wasn't an issue for the one night we were there

Hotel was very dated and not very appealing as we drove up. Had to wait a while to get checked in. Room was clean but dated. The bed had a very loud squeak and the mattress was higher in the middle than the edges and needed propping up with pillows. Breakfast was okay, but all so dated again.

Overall experience was ok. I had breakfast included which was not available at the time stated, being on a business trip I could not wait for breakfast to finally open so had to leave for work. The hotel was pleasant but does need to be updated as was old tired and drab. Dinner was excellent.

Nice place but not really that near to Glastonbury if you don't drive!

Was a little concerned when drove into the carpark. Shouldn't have been. Clean room, very comfortable bed. Clean powerfull shower. I would stay again.

Rooms were a little dated and the fire alarm went off for the two days we were there also I found the bed very uncomfortable but that is just personal preference

Well situated for Clarke’s Village
Great value for money this hotel has a nice lounge. Breakfast first class

Nice hotel, with nicely decorated rooms.
I traveled with 8 other people and we all had breakfast at different times and all of the bacon was hard and dry, also the toaster is the slowest in the World and you have to put your bread in 4 times before it browns, but that is my only moan - apart from that a very positive experience and I would stay again.

Reasonable for the price. Breakfast was ok, shower was ok as we're both short. Good price and location for what we wanted. Comfy bed.

To be fair the hotel is it seems updating itself however it was minus 5 heating not working holes in the window frames which we used the paint splatterd curtains to block the hotel was hosting a function so room could not be changed the receptionist needs better training or a new attitude after informing him I had a reservation and gave my name his answer was no asked how I had booked he looked again and shook his head and again no thankfully I had the confirmation with me which he took then seemed to be able to find the booking personally following the questions he then asked I don't think the hotel had logged the booking will not be going back it was bad service and a tatty hotel must mention the young male breakfast waiter who was great and helpful at replacing my undercooked breakfast he deserves to be working in a better hotel
