About this house rental
The 180° ocean views will make your jaws drop. There aren’t many spots like this on the California Coast.
With a hand-picked mix of vintage and modern furnishing and artwork, mid-century design sensibilities and quiet luxuries like Coyuchi towels and large modern sofas, plus modern amenities like a chef’s kitchen and high-speed internet (300 mb/s direct fiber connection), the Ocean Parkway House is suited for an unplugged vacation, surf retreat, or a remote work getaway.
Guests can embrace indoor-outdoor living all year long with the spacious redwood decks, a cedar hot tub, outdoor shower and native garden. At 950-square-feet, with two bedrooms, the two-story home can comfortably accommodate one or two couples, a small group of friends, or a family of three or four.
Privately situated in the surf town of Bolinas just an hour north of San Francisco, the Ocean Parkway House is nestled on a cliff overlooking the Pacific, at the end of a quiet street, at the farthest tip of Bolinas Bay. This oceanfront, 1960’s beach house - with epic, unobstructed, 180° views of the coast in every room - is a special retreat, a spot to truly relax and unwind.
Whether you find yourself taking hikes, lounging on the comfy indoor or outdoor sofas, cooking local produce, reading books, beach combing, playing board games, taking an outdoor rain shower, listening to the record player, shucking oysters, surfing, puzzling, napping, hot tubbing, or just view-gazing - there’s so much to enjoy.
Note: If you’re looking for a raucous party house, big family gathering, or hosting a surf safari, the Ocean Parkway House isn’t the right spot for you.
REVIEWS from recent guests:
"It would be difficult to overstate how wonderful it is to stay at Erin's amazing home! From the moment we opened the door we knew this spot was an absolute gem, one that we want to return to again and again! The view is breathtaking, and the interior details beautifully and comfortably exude "handcrafted modern". There isn't a single detail that's out of step with the overall aesthetic -- from the cedar plank hot tub, to the book and record collection, to the linen sheets on the beds, to the dish ware in the kitchen. All of it without feeling in any way contrived. We woke up to roosters crowing and went to sleep with coyotes howling in the distance. It was magical! Thank you Erin!" - Arcadia
"The absolute perfect NorCal beach cottage! Erin is such a great host and communicator, instructions were spot on and she was really gracious and flexible with check in and check out times. The cottage itself was spotless (shout out to your local cleaner Erin ❤️), and beautifully and thoughtfully stocked with gorgeous linens, towels and blankets. The kitchen is beautifully stocked with high quality cookware, and artisan dishes and cups. Beds are comfy and cozy, with stunning views. I’m still dreaming about the views! Easy walk to nearby Agate beach, and short drive to quirky Bolinas Wharf and stunning Stinson. The absolute best was chilling by the fire heater with my daughter and her bestie, as they played Uno listening to Marvin Gaye on the record player and I watched the ocean. Like I said, it’s the perfect NorCal beach cottage. Thank you for creating such a beautiful space and sharing it Erin."- Sam
"Unbelievable stay at Erin’s home. The views and grounds are breathtaking and so immersive. The house itself is so special - calming and inspiring with all of the thoughtful and luxurious touches. It was a pleasure to cook in the beautiful, stocked kitchen and eat on the gorgeous ceramic dishes. The cedar tub was definitely a highlight. I will not forget the views anytime soon. The beds were comfortable and waking up to that view is truly breathtaking. The house truly feels like a friend has let you borrow their vacation home and not like a typical Airbnb. It’s so special and we hope to return soon." - Sarah
"Wow what a magical place. The house was lovely, the neighbors lovely, wild life, sunsets, sunrises were all perfection. The thoughtfulness, craftsmanship, quality and beauty of every piece in the house is unparalled. From the lights, blankets, furniture, to the ice cubes, napkins and soap." Tracy + Martin
"What a spectacular view and cozy vibe. We have Miles Davis playing, incense going, and are going to have a chill dinner and do some puzzling. Thanks for opening your home to us!" - Jane

Our weekend in Bolinas was amazing. The property is extremely well and comfortably furnished - from the relaxing living room, well
Appointed kitchen , super comfy beds, the serene cedar hot tub, and a great record collection. The hosts were amazing communicators- even there for us when we got rerouted due to tree work. The views are amazing from every direction from sunrise to sunset. We will be back !!

Poised perfectly on Duxbury Point in Bolinas is this amazing property. Bolinas has a rich history as a quiet, off the map hideaway for those who want a life without all the fancy craziness of life. Tucked away at the end of the lane and surround by a panoramic view of the Bolinas Bay is a little bit of magic. Behind the door and out on to the deck you find a jaw dropping view. It's hard to stop looking, Sun and moon rising from the east behind Mt. Tamalpais over the green rolling hills, across the surf at Stinson Beach, and illuminating the cozy beach shack interior in a way you can not explain. It feeds your sole to be here. Impeccably styled and updated your wrapped in a carefully curated space with a zen, spa like feel. Each pillow, each rug, book, chair, towel and dish is there for a reason. Even better is the opportunity to bring to life the food of the coast in the kitchen. It feels like it's always been there, a part of the 60's or 70's, authentic - like you can picture a young version of your parents here a little history steeped into the wood tones. Butcher block counter tops, a little sage on the counter, earthenware its all well crafted. Two bedrooms with views to wake up to. Beds with real linen sheets that you want to get back into. Wait, it gets better - a private wood soaking hot tub is just steps from the door. Hot and cold running outdoor shower, beautiful luxury outdoor furniture and big fluffy towels make this a full outdoor experience you will not forget.

This lovely little place has gorgeous views of the water from every room. The house is very clean and efficiently organized, with comfortable beds. It was a bit chilly outside during our stay, so we did not use the hot tub or spend much time sitting on the porch, but the house stayed warm and cozy inside. The owner provided us with a number of welcome recommendations for nearby hiking trails, as well as detailed walking directions to a local beach. I only wish we could have stayed longer!

Beautiful location. High end property with lovely basics and thoughtful accents. We’ve rented many VRBO and Air B&Bs and this pretty much tops out the list. So thoughtful to include not only the basics like sea salt, pepper, olive oil and sugar, but also honey, tea, coffee beans and grinder. We never needed to take the car out once. Additionally the cedar hot tub was divine and the view spectacular. I will recommend this rental to friends and family.

The home is immaculate, yet warm and inviting, with stunning coastal vistas. It’s honestly the best short-term rental I’ve ever stayed in; we will be coming back for sure! Thank you Erin for currating such a lovely experience.

We had a lovely stay at this beautifully appointed property. The kitchen is large with many dishes, serving dishes, baking pans, and cookware. I LOVED the large counter for prep. The live plants through out the house added a lovely touch. The views were amazing, from the living room to the bedrooms upstairs. We enjoyed soaks in the cedar hot tub while enjoying the views.
Erin and Paul reached out to us once we arrived to make sure we had every thing we needed. We were well taken care of during our stay. We hope to return soon!

I feel honored to be the first VRBO guest at this amazing property. As a fellow rental host, I could tell by the photos that this house was going to be really, really great. In person, it totally surpassed my expectations.
If you are into spectacular views, design, functionality, quality, attention to detail & comfort, this place is for you. You could stay in this house for weeks and not need to leave.
Highlights for me:
*Soaking in the cedar tub, watching the sunrise over the ocean with hummingbirds and butterflies flying around. Truly magical and you should do it every morning you are there.
*The Swedish fireplace was so warm and cozy, if felt like having a real fire without the hassle of wood
*The BED. It was a dream. So comfortable! I am allergic to everything and usually have to travel with my own comforter since feathers make me sneeze. Everything on this bed is hypoallergenic but also feels like you are sleeping in a cloud. High quality french linen, fluffy pillows. The bed is SO GOOD. Also the view from the bedroom is a dream and you can hear the ocean with the windows open and you can see the stars at night. Ahhhh
*Cleanliness - This house was SPOTLESS. No dust. Not a thing out of place.
Details I loved: - Filtered drinking water attached to the sink, lovely ceramics to eat and serve with, amazing stove to cook on with absolutely everything you could need to cook a feast, good salt and pepper already there, vintage stereo with record player but also a portable speaker (nice to have both), lovely towels & Turkish towels for the tub, excellent all natural body wash, shampoo & conditioner, non toxic soaps, non-scented laundry detergent (I'm highly allergic to scented things), hooks to hang things and a place to put luggage, canvas bags for shopping, books and board games galore.
This house felt like it was my actual home for 3 days. I could not have been more comfortable.
Hosts are incredibly nice and this place is wonderful. You are very lucky if you get to stay in this beautiful spot. I will definitely be back!
