About this villa rental
Villa Aleva is new on the rental market and already very popular. This beautiful new house is the perfect spot to spend your well deserved vacation. The tasteful decor of the house will immediately make you feel at home. It has all the amenities you will need to make your stay as comfortable as can be. And to top it off, the breathtaking view will make your jaw drop.
Villa Aleva is located in a popular and secure gated community close to the center of Atenas, known for it´s best climate of the world.
The house has 3 bedrooms. The large master bedroom at the back of the house has a king size bed and an ensuite bathroom. The sliding doors give offer you the full view and you can step out to the pool area directly from the room. The second bedroom on the other side of the house also has a king size bed and an ensuite bathroom. The large windows also offer a great view. The third bedroom is also has a king size bed in it
The bathroom for this bedroom is in the hallway. The large living area with open style kitchen offers everything you can wish for. The kitchen area is spacious and has all the amenities. The seating area has a comfortable couch for you to relax on, read a book or watch TV. The large glass sliding doors make the house light and you can take in the amazing view from all around the room.
Step outside and enjoy the large covered patio. It has a large dining table where you can enjoy a meal you prepared on the grill. Or step into the crystal clear pool or relax on one of the loungers. Everywhere you look you will be able to see that stunning view. And when it get darks you get to enjoy the night view and see the lights of San José in the distance. It can´t get any better!!

As an additional service to our house guests, they can arrange airport transfers to help you avoid the potential hassles you can experience in getting from and to the property on your travel days

For special occasions they can have a local chef come to the house to prepare a gourmet dinner. What to think of a relaxing massage at the property, it can all be arranged. This is top on our list for vacations! The house was perfect and I would highly recommend the dinner on arrival night. Zipping was breathtaking, paired with the lunch it was a perfect day out. I would highly recommend staying here and coming back for a visit.

For reference we stayed in Atenas Costa Rica April 14th through April 19th.
The house is gorgeous, and the view from the backyard is stunning. On two separate occasions toucans came to the tree in the backyard to feed on the berries. We also had 6 head of cows/ bulls wander up one morning while we enjoyed coffee on the back porch.
The late afternoons did get warm, but we just cooled off in the pool. We did not see any rain while we were there. The nights do cool down, but was still a little warm for sleeping.
Driving was an experience! The roads are very narrow and congested.
The hosts were very helpful planning several tours for us. We really enjoyed the coffee farm tour.
We did get lost several times In the neighborhood. The roads and driveways all look the same and street signs are minimal. We had to go back to the gate house and ask for directions. They have a map of the neighborhood that we were able to take a picture of, which was extremely helpful.
The people of Atenas are super friendly and gracious.
Overall it was a fabulous vacation in Costa Rica!

The view from the marvelous pool is awsome night and day. To do central part of Costa Rica it’s the best. We rent a car it was perfect.

We loved the layout of the home and the location and views. Wished we would have known there is no airconditioning! It got super hot, midday. Also, the roads are super narrow, steep, and winding up to the property. We wished our rental car was smaller. The hosts were awesome. The hot and cold water seem to be reversed. It would have been nice to have a recommendation of great beaches to go to. The one we found was not that great. Everything the hosts recommended was great. Maybe more fans in the house would help. I felt sorry for the massage person, it was so hot for her!

The property is well-maintained throughout. Th,,e furnishings are very new and comfortable, including the beds. The woodwork is beautiful; I suspect it is some variety of local hardwood. Simply a wonderful property with a spectacular view of Atenas and San Jose in the distance. If you have spent a warm day in the valley, this house is cool and breezy.
The host is friendly, prompt, and helpful when you need assistance. We had a wonderful stay of 11 days and recommend this property with enthusiasm.

This property was very clean and new. It had all the appliances, a good amount of dishes and cookware. The place was very private. The road up to the place was a bit of a challenge but manageable. Our host was the best, he provided our trip to and from the airport as well as arranged some of our outings.I would recommend this place for any group or family requiring three bedrooms and three bathrooms

The house & property are beautiful & safe in a very nice, gated neighborhood on a mountain. Someone is always at the front to let you in and out. The big screen doors across the back of the house let the breeze in. The pool gets lots of shade, so the water is nice and cold. There was shade on the patio at about 8:30am, so whether you like the sun or shade, you will find a nice spot to sit. The washer and dryer are new and worked well. The owner provided cleaning and paper products. We booked the airport transfers and the dinner delivered on our first night was delicious. The grocery store is within 10 minutes and so are many restaurants. Piet booked 4 of their recommended tours for us and drove us to them, which was so convenient. Atenas is close, but walking there would be arduous (steep slopes) and dark at night, so you'll need a car or to take taxis. Piet and Yvonne had our rental car delivered nearby and drove us to it, and they also called a taxi for us when we needed it. They go above and beyond as property managers - they made our vacation easier and more fun!

Everything was delightful! You must remember that you are in a valley surrounded by mountains and the roads can be steep at times. That being said, Atenas is a wonderful base for exploring many of Costa Rica's towns and attractions.

The photos do NOT do this place justice. Everything we saw and experienced while here was exceptional. Piet ( our host )was more than gracious and friendly, he was a blessing. He invited my wife and I to a Halloween party at a local resort that his band was playing. A perfect evening, thanks again Piet.

Piet was an awesome Host, very accessible and patient with our arrival. Checked up on us throughout our visit to make sure everything was ok.
The house is beautiful and has an amazing view, worth waking up every morning too! The house itself is gated as well as its in a gated community so it feels pretty safe.
Getting to the house can be a challenge, as it is on a mountain and lots of curves, and can get pretty dark at night, but thats in all costa rica and trust me the house is worth it.
I would definitely stay there again.

Villa Aleva is a beautiful new and modern property located at the top of Roca Verde in Atenas. The view from the pool is absolutely amazing. The bedrooms are spacious and have large windows overlooking the entire valley.
We had a good time playing in the pool.
Villa Aleva is just a few minutes driving distance from Atenas. The property managers Piet and Yvonne met us at the home when we arrived. Because of the late check-in we ordered some local food and Yvonne delivered to our place right on time for dinner. The food was delicious. If you are looking for tranquility and serenity, we highly recommend this place.

We’ve come to a tennis a few times this year as our son is in school nearby. We always stayed in hotels before. This property is fantastic and not much more than a hotel. Private, stunning views, everything you need in the house, in terms of the kitchen, tv with all streaming services and laundry, and the pool is absolutely refreshing. Highly recommend.

I can’t begin to explain how AMAZING this property and the hosts are! The house was super clean and even better in person than in the pictures. Piet picked us up from the airport and was super helpful and kind. He made booking the excursions and chef super easy! The chef was amazing, we are still dreaming about the food! Piet and Yvonne are absolute gems! My birthday trip for two unexpectedly became a solo trip. Although it was my first time out the country by myself Piet and Yvonne answered all of my questions and were so helpful. I didn’t feel confident to drive by myself and they set private transportation personally themselves driving me to the excursions of my choosing!
They were top notch hosts and the views were exactly as pictured even better in person! The house had all the up to date amenities needed to make you feel right at home. I’ve already recommended this place to many of my friends! 10/10 amazing hosts, beautiful views, great people, and beautiful country!! Stay here you won’t regret it!!

This property is absolutely amazing. First of all, you won’t find a better view. This property is on the back side of the premier Roca Verde neighborhood, looking out towards San Jose. You have a clear view of multiple volcanoes, and the city lights at night are spectacular! The house itself is everything you could want. The layout is perfect with 2 master bedrooms on opposite sides of the house, which would be perfect for 2 couples, plus there is a 3rd bedroom. Open concept in the middle with a well equipped kitchen. They literally have everything you need to prepare meals, even a salad spinner!! The owners obviously put a lot of thought into the furniture and decor. It’s honestly how I’d want my own house to look. Off the back patio you have a great grill and dining area, and the pool which was fantastic!! We were so comfortable here and will hopefully return!!

We had a great stay at this property. It's a beautiful place and very clean. It had a great breeze every day so it was not too hot and was very nice when sitting outside and enjoying the pool and the view. The beds were very comfortable, and the furnishings and appliances were very up to date and brand new. The hosts were great and easy to communicate with they spoke english. I would highly recommend this property.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Villa Aleva.
The house:
This beautiful brand new home is safe, secure and well laid out. The good sized bedrooms had very comfortable beds, the kitchen was very functional and the sunlit great room looks south onto the Central Valley. The pool, deck and patio furniture are top drawer. The furniture inside the house also very good quality.
Property managers:
Piet and Yvonne, the property managers, are awesome. They look after everything and stocked our fridge with the items we requested on arrival. Piet met us after supper on our arrival to make sure we got to the house.
Location:
The Villa is located in Roca Verde on top of a hill, so the south facing views are stunning. Roca Verde has 24/7 security and you access the development through the gate house. From the house you can see for miles. We do recommend having a car for this property due to the fact the paved roads are inclined and not suitable for walking. Saying that, Atenas is only 5 minutes away by car, so you are close to the town site. The only thing we did notice is that, on occasion, you can hear the highway 27 traffic when sitting outside on the deck.
