We were four friends meeting up to attend a reunion with other friends of 40+ years. The house is a beautifully renovated property one block from Main St. Wakefield. The property was close to shops, restaurants and the town lake. It had everything we needed. Communication from the host was excellent.
I would caution those with mobility issues to consider an alternative as the stairs were steep and narrow.
I would highly recommend this property.

Property was just as advertised. It was very quaint, clean and in a cute neighborhood. The staircase leading to the main living area was steep but we had no issues with it. Property is within walking distance to a small, downtown street where we had a nice breakfast and dinner. Communication with the property manager was not the best. We had to reach out to them to receive check-in information even after the check-in time. There was miscommunication on entering the property which forced us to look elsewhere to stay for the night. However the management company reached out to us and refunded the night's stay. Overall we were happy with our stay. Location is great in reference to Boston and we came during the perfect time of year. Cherry trees were in blossom and the weather was great!

A beautiful, large and well-equipped condo, in a quiet neighborhood, less than 30 minutes from Boston by car (in non-peak hours). Walking distance from a small supermarket, the train station and a lake. Parking spot next to the house. Communication with the owners was very quick and smooth. The listing is accurate, it does have steep stairs but these were not a problem for us (with 3 teenage kids). The apartment is very pretty and nicely designed, and the beds are very comfortable. The apartment is not perfect - the heating is uneven between the rooms, and the water pressure in the showers is not very strong, but its advantages far outweigh its disadvantages.

We rented the apartment (felt like the entire house) for Thanksgiving and it was perfect! It is spacious, clean, renovated and tastefully decorated. We did not use the upstairs but the 2 rooms and 1 full bathroom up were very nice also. The owners were very honest about the stairs in front (in the entry so you have to go up one door to the main level). However we did not have any problem whatsoever with that considering that is how a lot of the houses are in that area. The entry is actually very beautiful. The kitchen was the best feature-huge windows and so much room. The owners were very responsive when we had a question-even on a holiday weekend -and they topped it off with a bottle of wine for us. The house is located near seveal walkable restaurants and of course the lake that is great for a long walk. Would highly recommend this home!

The apartment was lovely and comfortable. The entry stairs are very narrow and step. It’s a workout getting luggage up and down, but we were aware from other’s reviews. The kitchen was well stocked. The A/C situation wasn’t clear from the listing. We never noticed a difference in temperature from the thermostat and had to make use of the windows units in almost every room, especially in the third floor bedrooms. The window units we adequate to keep the overall unit and rooms a comfortable temperature at night. We were rarely in the unit during the day as we were out exploring. The neighborhood was lovely and quiet as listed. The downstairs and next door neighbors were friendly and inviting. It was a great stay for our family of four, including teens to climb the second staircase to the third floor bedrooms.

The owners are quick to respond, offered great suggestions for food and activities, and greeted us with a complimentary bottle of wine! The neighborhood was such a great surprise. We chose the property because it was close to what we wanted to do and had enough room for our family of six, but it's nestled in a historic neighborhood close to the lake and downtown with great restaurants within walking distance. (After dealing with Boston traffic, it offered such a relaxing reprieve.) (My only concern would be for families with small children or elderly. There are steep steps to manage and should be a consideration.) For our family of teenagers and adults, it was a great stay!

Nice, clean, comfortable property for 6 adults. Worked out perfectly with walking distance restaurants and grocery store. Beautiful park nearby where we took graduation pictures. Thanks for a wonderful stay with wonderful memories.

Pretty house & location! Only 20 min. Uber ride to downtown Boston. Restaurants and stores I. Walking distance to house. Quiet neighborhood. Enjoyed our stay!

Very nice location and home. I was with 3 older adults who use canes and the listing wasn’t clear, to me, that the main level was a narrow, spiral staircase up. That was difficult for them to manage.

We had a wonderful stay in downtown Wakefield. This is a second story unit on a quiet side street near downtown. Plenty of space, very clean, modern appointments, well-stocked, and surrounded by everything we needed. Restaurants, pharmacy, parks, and a lake were all within walking distance. The hosts were wonderful, and we’ll definitely book again the next time we are in the area!
