Beautiful place the beach is beautiful the place is clean the service is amazing I really recommend but don’t go looking for Bávaros type of night ideal to rest families
4.5
Place was beautiful and staff was very nice and helpful but they need more fans in the restaurants and there too many bugs.
4.5
I loved everything from the resort. Its quiet, calm and family oriented. I would reccomend more food options and variety. And to open more restaurants.

Thank you so much

They have to do better with the food options . Poor

First and foremost the welcome greeting was non existence. The room had to be switched due to multiple failures, clogged toilet, balcony door not opening, air conditioning failures. This hotel claims to have 6 restaurants, but in reality its only two with very bad food. The snack restaurant never has anything the fries are miniature and the burgers are chicken sandwiches.. pork is claimed as beef. And so many other disasters. If your seeking luxury this is not it. STAY AWAYYYYYYYYY.. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL

They need more night life everything closes at 11pm.A night club so people can dance.

Alltra Samana is a paradise. Our family and some friends, spend 4days at this beautiful resort . The resort was recently renovated. As soon as we got to the reception Juan Carlos Alvarez gave us a room upgrade to a gorgeous room with a jacuzzi. All the staff was very attentive and the white sand beach was astonished.

Overall the hotel was good
Poor quality food /options

I think the restaurants were excellent. So most of the amenities in the hotel, even dough is low season for the hotels in the country, but during the weekend was something else.

The staff at Wyndham Alltra Hotel is super friendly, making us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. The rooms are modern and clean, offering a comfortable stay. The food is 10/10, with a variety of international cuisines and typical dishes from the Dominican Republic available during breakfast and lunch. Dinner is served a la carte, rotating restaurants each day, and it’s on a first-come, first-served basis.
However, there are a few reasons for my 3-star rating:
1. **No Night Entertainment**: If you're looking for a lively night scene, this hotel might not be for you. There's no entertainment at night, which can be a downside for those wanting some evening activities.
2. **Limited Bar Options**: The main bar at the pool is open until 11 PM but doesn’t offer premium liquor. This is typical for many hotel chains, but it was still a bit disappointing not to have a selection of spirits to choose from.
3. **Limited Dining Options**: While breakfast and lunch offer great variety, there’s no buffet for dinner. The a la carte system can be inconvenient as it’s on a first-come, first-served basis, which might not suit everyone’s dining preferences.
4. **Early Snack Bar Closure**: The snack bar closes at 6 PM, limiting options for a quick bite in the evening.
5. **Short Stay Recommendation**: The hotel is perfect to disconnect and recharge, but in my opinion, it’s best for a stay of no more than

The place is quiet, not crowded, walkable and decent in food options. Is not the best Resort out there, but is a quiet one with almost 0 animation activities during the day. This can be bad for some, but good for the ones who are looking to rest all day under the sun.

Perfect stay, room, staff, cleanliness, food, drinks, everything was excellent, I really enjoy
Bed habits on Dominicans resorts / also this one/ is to take fee for WiFi, it should be always free. Buy Claro SIM card instead for 500 pesos you will have LTE for 5 days

everthing was ok except a for a couple of minor details.

Limited dining and snack bar variety

I did not like it everything was limited and the food so not great

I had to wait 45 minutes to be checked in, since they had not received Expedia confirmation!!!
I showed mine from my phone, already prepaid , they took copies but still made me wait a long long time. The bathroom wc water had no pressure and it was very difficult to use properly.
Food very low quality: no fresh juice in the Caribbean?!? Fruit was not good either. Coffee was just diluted brown water.

Overall, the accommodations and staff were great. The only thing that troubled me was a fearless rat who climbed up on the chair and kept returning.

Relaxed peaceful surroundings that allows you to Enjoyed the white sandy beach.

We used hotel.com to stay last minute after a long days travel. We booked a 2 bed room for space for 4 and when we went to check in was told they charge by the person and the reservation was for 1 person. We explained we are 4 and we took a double bed to accommodate 4 and they were unwilling to help. So after 2 hours waiting we left and found a nice stay next to sea for way cheaper and with a friendly host at Hotel la isleta.

Bad service dirong the storm food poor and bar really bad

The staff is excellent. Great pool. Drinks quality was not good

My favorite part was leaving the property.
4.5
There is a lot of sargassum and the beach smells bad and it is not well maintained. There is a lake dirty and full of mosquitoes, the food is terrible, and they charge for everything. The road to the hotel is very dangerous, with several holes in the road and all alone through the night. Several motorcycles that drive crazy. Avoid this property, it is not worth the price and too much danger

Samana was beautiful, the resort was beautiful as well! Highly recommend. Unfortunately, the toilet in our room had a nonstop leak, but we decided to leave it be.

The food is great, the service is very good but the place isn’t safe someone took some sandals and a bathing suit from the patio of our room. Sometimes they didn’t have a drink or coffee. The pool was dirty.

This place was ok. I think the whole place in general needs an update. I mean like redesign the inferior of the rooms. The beach is impressive the staff was very polite and the food wasn’t bad, but there almost the same many everyday. 7 out of 10

As we arrived to the resort there was a lack of professional courtesy and attention towards incoming guests. The lobby seemed abandoned and unworkable. Non-premium members had to pay $4 per day for wifi (that constantly disconnected and barely worked. I ended up using a hotspot from a local connected phone that was better) and an additional $4 per day to use their lockbox. There was a leak under the sink (pipe was disconnected from the sink) and when we brought it to the hotels attention no one came to fix it. The room were were not clean and we found multiple spiders and hair in our beds. The food was a nightmare. We paid premium and were told there were multiple restaurants yet when we arrived they said those restaurants were not open and celular “potentially” open tomorrow. The food itself had literal flies landing on them and nearly all the food ended up being cold. We didn’t even last 24 hours before we decided to leave. When we checked out they had LIED and told us that our refund was through Expedia (where we had booked) yet when we called Expedia they told us that the hotel had to handle those services. Bad experience.

Esta fue la peor experiencia de mi vida en un alojamiento

Hotel looks like it hasn't been updated in years, faucets are dirty, door knobs don't work, basically nothing in there works properly.
Bad customer service, bad food. Looks like owners just want to get money out, but don't want to invest in it. Really bad experience, nothing compared to what you see in pictures.

I made a reservation with one adult and two kids when We arrived the Grand Paradise we charged 400 dollars more and didn't accept credit cards. The services offered by the hotel were poor, we face shortage de electricity several times. Tv was not good and bathroom not too good either. But the landscape was good

We stayed at this property for three nights in April of last year during pandemic and it was pretty bad; we decided to give another shot two days ago, and it was worst!
The room that they gave us, was unacceptable! Headboard and nightstands, in extremely bad shape. It took over an hour to get another room; which the tv was missing the control remote and the phone did not worked. I phoned the front desk from my cell to tell them that we were missing the remote control and I was told to stop by the front desk on my way to dinner to get one. I ordered a bottle of wine at extra cost since the house wine was terrible and went to the buffet, the only place opened for dinner that evening. Went to the pasta station and while he was cooking the pasta, a roach came out and I told him about it; he pushed it down the sink. I kept looking around and there several roaches over the garbage can and it was 8 pm. Asked for a manager and none available. We ended up going to town for dinner.
I was told that they fumigated after lunch and that is why roaches were out and about. Obviously, they have a problem!
Gave this place a second change, but certainly not give a third!

Service could be improved, professionalism from the staff members could be improved. The food could also be better prepared.
