the property is very old and outdated. the room was not clean. there were 2 police cars out front when I arrived. I moved my car to where I could see it from my window, but I was concerned throughout my stay.

This isn't a hostel in the classic sense, just a budget hotel with a dorm style room. I arrive at 9am and had to urge the front desk lady to let me leave my luggage while I went into the city until 3pm check-in. She wasn't willing to budge on early check in. there was no lobby to hang out and take a nap in (much needed after a red eye flight of barely sleeping). The website says planned activities, I didn't see any and I was there on Saturday. For the price, sufficient and I am not complaining, but just temper expectations when compared to hostels when traveling outside the USA.

My stay at the Bposhtel in Charlotte, NC was an experience. Not a good one for sure. First, online & even on their cards they list a cafe and a pool for the meetup locations. Neither existed and I could not even go in the lobby because its closed to all customers due to renovations, indefinitely. I was told by an employee that others have been just as upset finding out there is NO pool or cafe. Second, I walk into the room and there is a huge A/C water leak, refrigerator was dirty & beat up, there is no washcloth given to people, not even kleenex and dont get me started on the floors. I dont believe they own vacuum cleaners. I would be more then fair saying the place is a hot mess. I have to say this location is one step away from closing due to neglect.

I didn't like all the gun fights and druggies everywhere. They will let all the scum to stay.

My rommaate made popcorn at 3 am one time and she was noisy all the time, had the room smelling disgusting, she was very bad and had no respect for others. Even tho there was a guy named Robert and he was great.

The hotel staff was very nice. The price is great if your on budget or do not want spend alot of money. It is near the airport. However, the room needs to be clean better. When people do not want there products there should be a free basket. I can tell the property is getting renovated. They should have storage for luggage, and research other hostels. It is Charlotte first one there is a learning curve.

Going to be brutally honest here, but avoid staying here unless you desperately need 1 night at the cheapest price. This is not actually a hostel, it's just a budget hotel (Studios & Suits 4 Less Airport), where they just stuffed two bunk beds into a regular room. The location is terrible and gets extremely sketchy at night. Service is also not great at all so don't expect anything on that front.

Great price, convenient location, all night security and adequate clean facilities. However all this was ruined by 1 guest who insisted on playing phone on audio most of night. He barely quieted at 2am when I asked him to turn it down. When security asked him at 3.30am because I complained there was no room available to relocate me. I felt distrust after everyone was awake in the room, one guy left and the noisy one played his phone again after security had gone.
My whole night was ruined by this one guest choosing to play films etc all night, the audio was shooting, dramatic music, shouting, crashing and some electronic sounds.
I found not being willing to turn his phone off so others could sleep, extremely disrespectful and selfish.
I would suggest bposhtels have much tougher rules around noise from phones and devices in the rooms with a guarantee to move a disturbed quest. I know all the rooms were not full when I asked to move but there was no proper provision to do so.
Also guests who ignore request from fellow travellers and security should be black listed because they cause others; stress, distrust and ruin there stay.

Very run down very unsafe I didn’t even get out of my car. I took one look at the horrendous condition of this place (trash & caution tape everywhere out front, bellhop carts thrown in the bushes, broken blinds on most of the windows) & the very sketchy people haunting the parking lot & drove myself right on over to holiday inn.

The plac e was a dump. Upon check in, I was told there would be a $50 “deposit” because I was local. I tried to pay by CC, but was told I had to pay in cash. Very sketchy!

Nice for a hostel. Not the nicest area but felt safe

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Bposhtel said their would be meeting places but the hotel said they don’t do that. They would not even let me in the lobby to watch TV. I had nothing to do so I left the hostel early.
