Location, facilities, staff, privacy.
Room service quality was below par for such an expensive offering. Didn’t live up to its premium promise.

The best hotel in Alula , the service was great

Buildings, etc. very nice. Staff friendly, helpful, but only responsive, not pro-active. Service culture and cross-selling of services could be improved.
Limited choice at breakfast (e.g. no toast).

This hotel was absolutely the best part of my quick trip to Al Ula. I'm sure your first question will be 'is it really worth the money'. And in my opinion regarding the off season its 100% worth it and matching or exceeding similar price points for similar accommodations. In the peak season like when I went it's more questionable, but that depends on the person, and your financial situation. But without question I was NOT disappointed. The hotel and the area it's in is beautiful. Amazing view with big outdoor seating options surrounded by the natural rock formations in 360degrees, yet the small sand piles block your neighbors, so it has surprising privacy. The room itself was also nice and everything felt oversized, high quality, and custom to fit the space. Bed was pretty comfy. Nice large bathtub and shower space. And water pressure was unbelievable. Almost too much. The service was also great with people constantly trying to make your stay as nice as possible, and doing it with a smile on their face. Really there isn't much bad to say about this place. I especially loved all the small and unique things. They gave you traditional coats to wear which was great for me not packing warm enough. And each night they'd come in for turndown service and set up fragrent oils and lay the pajamas on the bed. And they offered free horseback riding. It's was truly an amazing overall experience and I highly recommend this hotel.
The main reason I'm giving the hotel a 9 vs. A 10 is simply the food. The food was perfectly fine. Almost nothing I ate was actually bad. It's just that the breakfast was on the smaller side and not the best. The experience was very nice, like everything else. Made to order omletes without getting up to ask. And they even brought over food carts offering more food/desserts as you eat. Etc. It's simply that when I compare this hotel to similar or even cheaper places, I found this aspect to be lacking in comparison. I also ate at the Thai restaurant, which again was a great experience albeit slow to get the check. Food was overall good though. And the room service seemed to specialize in beef. I would recommend the beef. It was good. The lamb I didn't really like. And when your order costs over 1000SAR you start to judge the food at a higher standard. I'd also stay away from the minibar where I noticed a tiny jar of chips was 80 or 110SAR if memory serves. But I guess if you can afford the hotel, maybe you don't mind. Only other 2 un-related things is no one gave a welcome drink or anything when we checked in. It was very odd for a hotel that otherwise had such spectacular service. And the hotels ground are huge, so youll be waiting for golf carts to come pick you up to get from place to place and it takes time. Also not the warmest thing to ride this time or year. So in summation, if you stay here I doubt you'll truly be disappointed with the food or anything else for that matter. I'm just giving an honest review comparing it against similarly priced/positioned hotels I've been to and ultimately I believe it deserves a 9. And you should definitely go here. If I'm ever in Al Ula again, I will almost certainly do the same. Extremely memorable and unique experience that isn't to be missed!

This place wins! The service was above and beyond! Ziad was very helpful and there for us every time we needed help! He dropped us down and picked us up from the concert at Maraya! The bonfire outside of the villa is the best to have at these cold nights! Definitely I’m coming back!

Very impressive since the first step walking to the hotel. The hotel has the most stunning view and very beautiful and clean. The room is extremely big and convenience. Fortunately my room has the Maraya view that I will never forget this experience.
The most impressive for this hotel is The Saffron restaurant that is Thai food. The chief manager including staffs they are from Thai , Who chief Tina, Chief Yuttapong, Chief Artit, and Pattchara.
They took a great care of my family. They are unforgettable have super great service mind. The food was super delicious in every menu. Yes I could tell for all menu because I went there for 5 meals and ordered all different menu. They treated my family very well , made us feel like home and they served some menu as a complimentary. Especially due to the extremely hot weather, my mother got sick, The chief Tina, called the doctor to take care my mom so well. My family and I will remember them for their perfect service forever.
They will be the first reason I will come and stay at the Bayantree in Alula again for sure. Thank you for everything you guys have done for my family. We deeply appreciate that.

The resort is designed to stand out. Villa design is top notch and the basic accommodation requirements (welcoming, cleaning, …) are all well offered. Big shout out to Shahad (receptionist) whom really made a positive impact on my stay.
2 main issues:
- Lack of wellness experience: the resorts does not have quite spots. There is aways an engine running voice here or there. (+ no internal activities scheduled at that time :( )
- Scattered instances of sever lack of professionalism: for some reason the resort check-me out and check-in a guest (1:30 pm) without consent. (+ awful delays in responding to requests)

The location was amazing beyond my expectations. The staff are very friendly, supportive and knowledgeable. Their concierge Roa made me feel very welcomed and the driver that took me for tours Saleem went above and beyond take the most amazing photos. I highly recommend this place!

The room and pool is clean and spacious, nice infinity pool with a stunning view.
The room dine in menu was really delicious
Overpriced for what it's actually offering, the public pool and spa were closed for maintenance and I was informed 1 week after my booking and I still charged the same rate, also when I booked the villa, it says the breakfast is included but in reality breakfast room service is not included 😑
Update: they compensated me with extra 1 night stay
Their staff seems under trained and not aware about the updates regarding hotel services, one staff asked me about whether i tried the hotel spa, even though the spa was closed for maintenance.
Another thing, when I ordered the room service dine in and wanted to pay, I was informed by their staff it was all complimentary but during the checkout, it wasn't complimentary which was fine by me, because I knew it was too good to be true.
Breakfast still not included except for restaurant dine in.
During the day of my flight back, all taxi in the town mysteriously became busy and unavailable for pick up even though I had no issues with ordering taxi for the whole 1 week stay in alula.
You will be forced to use the hotel taxi services which costs the triple usual amount. However, I expressed my dissatisfaction with the situation and the hotel offered a free ride.

From the front desk to the higher management team, everyone was dedicated to ensuring that my stay was comfortable and memorable. Some of the highlights of my stay were the culinary experience in the Thai Saffron restaurant and the hospitality of the HR team who drove us to the airport after having a flat tire.

The location is out of this world and beyond our imagination. The Spa and Rock Pool were amazing. We saw free roaming camels on the hotel grounds.
The most expensive place I've stayed - it's brand new but the management and staff are not ready to meet the expectations of what it's charging. We emailed ahead with our flight arrival and bookings for the spa, restaurants, etc, and even though there was an acknowledgement, everything, from the airport pick up onwards was botched. We waited or a no-show pickup and had to take a taxi in. Our spa appointments were not made, and just too many to list. Very disappointing experience for such an amazing location and what was to be a relaxing few days turned out to be unnecessarily stressful and frustrating. The management waived our local transportation fees as a service recovery - but it didn't feel at all sufficient for what we had to endure.

the staff was lovely and very helpful
the housekeeping team/service wasn’t at its best; there was always something missing in the room. once the room was on DND while we were at breakfast, they got in and cleaned it.
the reception team were not very aware when it came to restaurants, their menus… they actually didn’t have all the details.

hotel rooms were very far from the lobby; it was a good 10 minute good ride every time we went to/ from the lobby to the room

I liked the villa and the private pool. the privacy was nice too. the view were unbelievable
the staff was rude, inexperienced, arrogant and more. one staff member was extremely rude to my wife and used language that is not appropriate. I’m shocked. if they treat saudis like that, I can only imagine how they treat visitors from abroad. I hope it’s with more respect than I experienced otherwise they are not supporting the image and reputation our country is. I most likely will never book there again.
