The host was kind enough to extend the check-in time for us since we arrived later than planned. The room was simple, but clean and the beds were comfortable. That was all we needed. And the breakfast in our room. :))
It was expensive for the type of room, but that's probably because of high season and huge demand in the area.

Nice clean room, comfortable bed and very good meal in the restaurant.
Room was quite noisy and the owner was fairly abrupt.

Nice modern bathroom.
It's an older building thus no elevator to top floor.

Location suited me. Small fairly typical French hotel
Its difficult to know where to start as the messages are rather mixed. At first look its a small fairly typical French country hotel clearly with gastronomique pretensions. On arrival you discover you cannot access the hotel parking without parking elsewhere first and checking in so that can get a keycode for the industrial size gate. Then you discover the car park is small and cramped, with white vans taking up a lot of space with badly parked (French) cars fitting in around them and no further spaces that were usable. Rooms are clean and comfortable. And they come with tea and coffee making facilities – but sadly no tea or coffee just a kettle, some badly chipped cups and some boiled sweets! The restaurant is something else! I could have read most of a paperback in the time it took to ask me for my order - not even asking whether I would like something to drink to begin with. Eventually the order was taken and I was given my pastis without ice and with a litre of water. My wine and sparkling water appeared at the same time, both already opened and with no top for the water. Then I discovered the Sylvaner was warm even though in an ice bucket which was mainly water. If the wine was actually Sylvaner I do not know as it had already been opened but it didn't taste like Sylvaner and it was in a bottle dated 2017 which is somewhat older than usual for a wine to be drunk young. I had decided against the various fixed menu options as I wanted something simple. But no guinea fowl available so switched to duck after my moules marinieres starter. The latter were pleasant enough although very young and small although there were certainly plenty of them. The duck dish on the other hand was pretty disgraceful presented with overcooked and rather slimy vegetables and a very watery peppercorn sauce. I did not bother with dessert or coffee. The breakfast was pretty good.

Great hotel, with fine price quality ratio. We had a 4p bedroom without breakfast.

Staff were friendly and helpful and location was good.
Room too small toilet didn't flush properly. We had to go through doors to access room and then down stairs then up stairs very confusing.the breakfast wasn't worth 8 euro very poor and no plate you ate of a tray so unhygienic. I wouldn't go back
