About this house rental
This large 8 bedroom mediterranean waterfront home with private pool is one of the nicest vacation rentals in the New Braunfels/McQueeney/Seguin area. Perfect for large groups, individuals, family reunions, church retreats and small family getaways. With 6000 sq ft, this home is large and features a full range of upgrades. Features include an elevator, sub-zero refrigerator, pool table, (2) living areas, upper/lower decks over the river, basketball court, private pool and (2) canoes. The pool is oversized to handle the large groups. The backyard is chain-link fenced for the kids and pets. Pet fee $95. The river is currently low as GBRA works on the dam. However, there is PLENTY of water to canoe, fish and swim. We added stairs to help access the river.
The pool is oversized to accommodate large groups such as reunions and retreats. It is private and not a community pool. Pool closes November 15th and reopens March 8.
Area activities include Schlitterbahn, Sea World, ZDT, Fiesta Texas, San Marcos Outlet Mall, San Antonio Riverwalk, San Antonio zoo and the Alamo.
New for 2025 is a pickleball court and the addition of the eight bedroom.

This house was great for a small group to spend the weekend together. We had a great time!

We went for a family trip with our kids, grandkids, & parents. The pictures online aren’t exactly what you get. Inside & out. There was food crumbs including chips on the floors in multiple bedrooms. Two rooms had dirty bed covers. One appeared to be small area of vomit. After I cleaned the house & washed the bedding we had a nice time. I do believe I should be refunded part of the cost. Jenny

Wonderful time was had by all 18 of us! Great layout for the teens to be able to hang out separate from the adults when needed. Plenty of comfortable beds and linens! Great communication with owner. Pool was immaculately clean, fishing was fun from the bank! Highly recommend!

We loved having plenty of room and seating for our large family gathering. The outdoor spaces were amazing and a great location for accessing city and outdoor fun. The property manager was super responsive. Only three bathrooms was tricky but the owner said another bathroom is coming soon.

We so enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. Always a good time when family can be together. There was plenty of room for all 11 of us and our dog to spread out and enjoy the space. It was great that the backyard area was fenced in so the dog could roam around a little with no worries. Everyone really enjoyed swimming in the pool, fishing, using the canoe, and playing pool on the first floor. My 87 year old father caught a huge fish from the bank. The elevator was a huge help with carrying up groceries and our luggage. The only issue I had is really specific to my situation. I use a walker and I was not aware that there was no bathroom downstairs on the first floor. I didn't see any notations in the property description about it, but inside the house there was an explanation sheet explaining why.. It was just a little inconvenient for me and the peron who slept in the bedroom on the first floor. The host was very attentive and stopped by to see if everything was as expected. We would definitely come again!

We stayed for four nights and found this to be a great property for our family. There were plenty of bedrooms spread out over three floors, which was a big plus given our mix of four family units with small children and pets. There were three large tables that allowed our group of 12 to enjoy meals together. The enclosed backyard offered safety and security for the small children and pets, and the paved walkway made for a convenient walk to the river on the back of the property, where we were able to do some fishing and canoeing. The property is still undergoing renovations, but it is no way negatively impacted our visit. We even use the elevator to help move luggage, etc. from the first floor to the upper levels and back. the location is convenient to a local Walmart in H-E-B, as well as shopping and activities in Wimberley, Seguin, San Marcos, new Braunfels, and San Antonio. Randy stop by a couple of times to check on things and was very responsive by phone and text when we had questions to be answered. We definitely would use this property again for a big group.

My family and I rented this house for all our immediate family to stay together after my wedding this weekend and it was AMAZING. The host is great and easy to get ahold of and the property is beautiful! Would definitely stay here again

This was the perfect place for our basketball team while in town for a tournament! Sleeps so many and has several hangout areas - the boys loved it!
Property manager was easy to communicate with and didn’t have a crazy list of stuff we had to do before checking out - love that so much!!

My entire family was able to stay and sleep comfortably in this house. I have four adult kids and seven grandkids. We stayed there to have a big family Christmas. There was a big Christmas tree 🎄 in the downstairs game room all decorated for us. My grandkids made some homemade ornaments and left them on the tree for the next guests. There was an elf on the shelf that the kids loved as well. That elf really got around in that house. It made it down the balcony from the third floor to the second floor with some Christmas tree tinsel and was just hanging from the tinsel. Lol The house is fully stocked with everything you need. Plenty of EVERYTHING. The outdoor balconies were fun to sit out on and enjoy some sun and peace. The canoe was a blast for the kids. My son put a trolling motor on a canoe and took the kids for a ride with their life jackets on. The guys enjoyed fishing and even caught some fish. They loved that. We played lots of fun games and enjoyed watching tv together. We had Christmas dinner and there was plenty of seating for everyone with the two huge dining tables on the second floor. The beds were all comfy and everyone slept well. We look forward to our next family vacation there. Thank you Randy!

We loved our stay at this property. Big house where we could all spread out. Two big dining room tables on 2nd floor to play games at and great game room downstairs. The communication with the host was easy and quick.

This was a Girl's Trip, Overall Great Stay! We loved the location and the house was huge so we could all have our own bedrooms. We had enough space and definitely liked the using the elevator. The owner needs some type of notebook to list how to work AC/heat, TV, dishwasher, stove, any clean up instructions, etc. We were clueless but the owner did respond quickly to any questions!

Our adult family of six had a wonderful time at this unusual home and regretted not being able to swim in the lovely private pool. It got way too cold to swim. When we had an emergency Randall was very willing to work with us and we appreciated that.

We rented this house for our annual girls trip.Let me start by saying this house met our needs and the owner was super helpful and accomadating. I do want to give an honest and respectful review. Upon arrival the house was not cleaned well. One of the beds had a stain on it, air vents were full of dust, food was splattered on the ceilling, counter tops were not wiped down. I immediately contacted owner and he was very concerned about the findings and came right over to fix the issues. He was very appologetic and explained he uses a cleaning service and would refund our cleaning fee, which he did. The house had plenty of rooms and the beds were comfortable. The pool table was fun. The elevator is not accessible which was no big deal. The Pool was great even though it was accross the street it was no problem at all. I feel like the pictures and the description of the house should be updated to reflect what it is today. the pictures were definately from a long time ago as the dock is missing boards and the flat sitting area on the yard level is no longer there. Overall the house met our needs, we had a wonderful time, the owner was very accomadating, and we made memories to last a lifetime. I may not rent this house again but would rent from the owner again .

We made amazing memories at this beautiful property. First, let me thank Randy for being such an accommodating host. Feel free to call him if you have any questions about the property. My three adult children plus their 5 children and two dogs had room to spare in this spacious home. When we arrived it was 103 and the private pool was perfect for my grandchildren to cool off. The home was spacious. We had so many places to enjoy, playing pool on the first floor den, upstairs deck or river deck. This home won't disappoint plus it is a short drive to many attractions such as shilterban.

1000/10 recommend this house if you’re looking to make the best memories of your life! Even tho we only had 12 people in this mansion of a house it was perfect for us. We were right on the water where we could just jump in or we could walk to the front of the property to the most beautiful PRIVATE pool! This place even had a basketball court perfect for the kids! I will say I was worried about the fridge space in the house considering there was 12 of us, but the fridge was huge and fit everything with space for left overs and drinks! The kayaks were so much fun I watched my friends kayak down the river from the doc right over the river. Look no further this is the place and the host is the best I ever had answers quickly and keeps the house SPOTLESS. We will be back! Thank you for everything!!

We rented this house for our senior trip. It can be difficult to find a place willing to rent to a group of seniors and 3 sponsors that is also large enough for everyone to spread out. This house was amazing and more importantly, the owner was great! He was very kind and easy to communicate with. The house was large enough for our group of 13 and was also very affordable. The kids also enjoyed the pool when we weren't out and about.

This property is really beautiful and is as described. The river is right in the backyard, there's a fabulous private pool across the street (still part of the same property). The house is huge and has many areas where you can "escape" for a moment alone. The backyard is expansive with multiple areas to host several different activities. It is truly the perfect place for a calming retreat.
The only downside is that there were only 10 bath towels (and very few hand towels/washcloths) provided. We had about 16 people staying in the house and had to do laundry everyday to ensure everyone had a clean towel to shower with.
Besides that, the house is lovely and the property contact was communicative.
